Excellent work at a reasonable cost. We've hired Straitline before for interior and exterior painting and always been pleased. Have also recommended them to others who have also been very happy with their work.

Mike and his crew did a great job. They fit us in, as the house was being sold. They were thorough. They power washed and scraped the garage, primed as needed and covered with two coats, matching the old color very closely. They also cleaned up when they finished. We were very happy with the work.

Mike and his crew were great. Mike is a master at detail- very meticulous. All of our windows are double hung with the outdated triple track storms so the job was not easy. The results are outstanding! We also really appreciated his suggestions. Will definitely use Mike again!

The paid attention to the details and did an excellent job. Added in the extras like patching some drywall and retaping seams

Workers were polite, appeared to be professionals and did an excellent painting job. I could not ask for nicer people doing a job for me. My one complaint: detail work at the end of the service was not completed ie: front door threshold was not painted, the contrast color for address numbers was to be painted white, this was not done, the masking tape on door glass was not removed. I did contact them once about this and was told they would return to finish the detail painting and pick up a thermos left at the site, but workers did not return.

They did a very nice job. They easily worked around our schedule, which included throwing a big wedding party in the back yard in the middle of the job. Very well organized and tidy, very professional operation.

The Straight Line team came recommended from a friend and did an amazing job painting nearly every inch of the interior of our home, including all woodwork. Additionally, they painted shutters on the exterior for about 25 windows. We could not have been happier with the result and will definitely use them again. We loved that they are a business where the owner is part of each project. They were wonderful to work with and have already recommended them to friends in the area.

The job was done very professionally. They were very neat and did a good job of protecting windows, doors, and flower beds from sanding debris and paint splatter. I was very satisfied with their work.

Excellent. Mike came out to give us an estimate in early May. His estimate was the lowest we received. Due to family and work obligations we delayed calling him for a while, but even after a few months, he honored his original estimate. He and his crew worked tirelessly for at least a week. They powerwashed the house, scraped and sealed where necessary, primed and painted. We couldn't be happier with the quality of the work and the outcome of the job. They worked on the house while we were at work, but our neighbors often commented at how hard they worked and how diligent Mike and his crew were. We get compliments all the time. We have referred Mike and his crew to friends who are very pleased with the job they did.

They did a good job but I think they are a little pricey. They do a great job but I would definitely get more bids next time to see about the price. They were very professional. We had them do the outside of our house and they were great.

We were in the process of fixing up an old 1957 house that I'd inherited from my mom and needed to sell. I found Straightline Painting on the Cleveland Angie's List and gave Mike a call in early April. I explained that we lived about 500 miles away and needed to schedule painting during a time when my husband was going to be in Ohio and in the house (later in April). Mike scheduled an estimate right away, and I made arrangements for a neighbor to let him into the house. He arrived right on time and met the neighbor there. Mike then called me back the very same day with his estimate. We made arrangements for the painting to commence after my husband got to Ohio. Mike was very good about working with our schedule. Just to complicate things, the Cleveland area was having incessant rains during April, but Mike and his crew kept a close eye on the weather and did the interior painting during the rainy periods and fit in the exterior painting during the briefer sunny periods. This included working on a Saturday in order to get the job done.
This was a major effort - the living room ceiling had lots of coats of old paint and was peeling badly, and much repair was needed. The large garage door and exterior back doors were in lousy shape as well. The crew worked hard over a period of several days and the house ended up looking marvelous!!! Also, the crew did a nice job of protecting the beautiful varnished floors and woodwork - not a drop of paint was spilled on them. They also draped and enclosed the work area with lots of plastic to keep dust from getting into the rest of the house. In addition, everything was cleaned up perfectly - you'd never know we had a painting crew in the house.
In addition, Mike was very helpful with suggesting paint and color choices for the interior walls. The nice warm off-white color goes very well with the oak wood floors. Our realtor was very happy with the new look! We also appreciated the care that went into cleaning the 17-year old vinyl siding, as well as the roof cleaning (which included hosing out the gutters as well). I'd gotten a few ridiculously high estimates from a couple of roofers for removing moss on the roof, and Straitline had it looking very nice just with careful washing.
Mike definitely knows his trade well and puts a lot of effort into customer satisfaction. This was overall a very good experience. We'd recommend this company for both interior and exterior painting.

I like them very much. They came in and the guy gave me an estimate right away. The estimate that he gave me was what we ended up paying. It was not a surprise to us. They did a very nice job. I think he had a crew of may be four men that worked with him. I think his name was Michael. I was very pleased with what they did. I selected the paint color and we tried to determine other colors because I had to paint some vinyl siding and he said it would be fine to do that. I'm glad that we did it because it worked and the whole front of the house matched with the garage door and everything. They did a very nice job. I recommended them to my neighbor. I think their price was very good because we'd got another estimate from another local painter, and it was quite a bit more. They were very responsive. I will use their services again in the future.

Excellently. They were able to fit us in to their busy schedule at the end of the season, matched the paint on the "new" side to the other 3 sides, and even left us a photo CD of their work process pictures in completing the job. An unqualifies recommendation to use this company: they are excellent.

Mike and his crew were fantastic. I contacted Strait Line Painting to get quotes for 4 seperate projects at my house. Mike's
rices were very reasonable, so I decided to go ahead with the smallest project. (the rear entryway ceiling)
2 days into the project I was so impressed with Mike's professionalism, cleanliness, and work that I asked Mike to start the next project, which was redoing the dining room ceiling. The ceiling had peeling wall paper as well as water damage from a leak in the bathroom above the previous owners neglected to repair promptly.
The rear entryway ceiling was straighfoward with scraping, skim coating, priming, and painting. The dining room ceiling was more difficult. Due to the water damage, Mike and his crew had to remove a significant amount of plaster from the ceiling and replace it with drywall. They took great lains to ensure the hardwood floor was well protected and did a great job of keeping their dust out of the rest of the house. Looking at the ceiling now, you could never tell the ceiling had been repaired.
The rear entryway came in on budget at a little less than $300. The dining room ceiling was about $100 over the estimate due to the amound of plaster they had to replace. After seening how much additional work they had to do, I was surprised it was only $100 over budget!
I'm looking forward to having Strait Line Painting back in July to strip and repaint my front porch.

I don't think he cleans gutters but I asked him to do it while he had his big ladders out. We had used them before for painting. The job went very well. We were very happy with them. We are thinking about having them come back in the spring to repaint our shutters because my wife didn't like the color. We will definitely use them again.

Did a good job. Several of our neighbors use them in the Clifton Park/Arlington/Overlook neighborhood in Lakewood. We have recommended them to family in Rocky River too. We have been very satisfied with their finished results, their progress on projects, etc. We keep using them and recommending them so we have found them to be very good painters for exterior and interior work.

We had a very large job that was going to require a significant amount of prep work because of the poor condition and prior painting problems. I definitely wanted a company that was equipped to handle large exterior jobs. From the beginning Mike was extremely responsive - always calling me back within a day when I had questions or concerns. Because of the size of the job I met with several painting contractors and ultimately chose Straitline on a combination of factors including price, professionalism and recommendations. We couldn't be happier with the choice. They pretty much did everything right. It was a good price given the scope of work. It wasn't the highest or lowest bid given. They showed up when they said they would, worked hard each day and cleaned up. I spoke to Mike pretty much everyday during the project and he was always helpful and responsive to questions or concerns. The house looks wonderful and we would use them again in a minute.

See above. We would recommend them to anyone considering a job like this. Theirs was the lowest of four estimates (the most epensive was $9500!!!), so I would not let the amount of their estimate deter anyone from using them. Very responsive to our concerns and decorating tastes.

Mike was always on the job, supervising and directing various activities as well as doing the scraping and painting.with the rest of the crew. Everyone was hard-working and courteous. In the late afternoon after a day's work, the debris was cleaned up. Except for their ladders, you would never know they were painting here. It was a total professional experience.

Everyone else had incredibly huge quotes for what I recommended (scrape all peeled spots and re-paint and fill in other parts that weren't peeling yet). So we wanted to do this in 2 steps instead of scraping the entire house. Michael understood it, but the only thing was that they used a paint that was a little more shiny than the other paint, and so it didn't exactly match. It still looks pretty good and overall I am satisfied. I like them and would use them again.
