I also used them last year. He is responsive and gets me in pretty quick and shows up on time. He is polite and helpful. He doesn't push for other services.

I plan to have him come and do some work on the sprinklers next week but he has not done the work yet. He quoted me $300 to $350 for the work. His name is James and he was late for 15 to 20 minutes in coming from when he said that he would come but he had called me to slightly reschedule. He was going to come at 12:00 and then he said that he had an opening at 10:00 so that was fine but then he did not get here until 10:15 or 10:20. But other than that, he was willing to go through with me each of the sprinklers and come up with a plan of how to take care of whatever issues they had and so he was pleasant enough. I felt pretty good overall after he left with the description of the work that he said that he is going to do for me although there was no written estimate so maybe that was not a good thing but other than that, I felt alright. I did not have the time to do like three estimates or something so I do not know how to judge his price but I think that it was pretty much a good value. His responsiveness was pretty good. I must have called him on Friday and he was able to come up with an estimate today. He was prompt.

Jim was very responsive and I was able to get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time. He listened to my concerns and allowed me to shadow him throughout the yard to check and repair/replace heads. He aimed each head precisely to cover the areas of my lawn and beds. He was helpful, patient and his cost was very reasonable. I will use his services instead of the company that installed the system every spring and fall, as well as anytime service is needed.

Service provider was great.  He was in contact with us promptly, scheduled us, showed up on time, was professional, and provided the exact service we were looking for.  No complaints, and I would definitely call him again should I need my sprinkler system serviced.

They came out after a week that I purchased the "Big Deal" and the service turned out excellent. We were happy with all their service. They did a great and everything was just very nice. Everything was in the right places and they cleaned up. He did what he said he would do and it was timely. I even asked them to do some more work for me. He paid attention to detail and was considerate of our time. All the good things I could say about somebody. I would recommend him to anybody.

James showed up and assessed my current system. He got a lot of the
sprinklers working right off the bat, and fixed a few others. He told me
I should get a new system controller/timer -- I took his advice since
the previous one was really old and didn't seem to work properly. He
also identified a broken pipe for one of the zones.
He came back a few days later, installed a new controller, fixed the
broken pipe and had everything exactly how I wanted it. Price was
reasonable. A true professional.

Lake Erie Irrigation installed a whole yard system for me in 2006. The work was excellent. The price was decent, and I was very satisfied. Jim (the owner) returned at the end of the season and the beginning and end of the following season to blow out the system before winter and get it ready before summer. Again, great work with a decent price. I even recommended him to a friend and Jim did work on his yard too. This is where my good experience ended. Around the third year I called Jim several times for him to come out both at the beginning and end of the season. The voice message said all calls returned in 24 hours. Never one call back. I stopped calling due to his lack of response. At the end of last summer, 2010, my yard was flooding which I believe was due to an underground break in the sprinkler lines. In April 2011, I tried to contact Jim to come out and look at my system, but no response. I found his cell phone number in my records and called. He actually picked up the phone.  We set up an appointment for him to come out and look at my system. The day before the appointment he called to cancel and said he would call later that week to reschedule. No phone call back. I left town for a week to return to no message from him. I called his cell phone but got his message which again said all calls returned within 24 hours. That was 5 days ago and I still haven't received a call back.  If for any reason he didn't want my business he should say so, but his lack of responsiveness prompted this negative review. Not very professional at all. I will be working with another sprinkler guy and NEVER recommend Lake Erie Irrigation to anyone.  

We purchased a house and the inground sprinkler system was not working when we bought it. It took awhile for Jim to get back to me. Once he did, all was great! He came out once to fix the first leak, but I was not home so he was unable to test the system. He came back a few days later and found 2 more leaks, as well as several broken sprinkler heads. Once the system was up and running, he realligned all the sprinker heads and set the timing on each zone. He spent several hours at our house making sure all was set up properly.

Jim came when he said he would, did what he said he would and charged what he said he would. One of the valves subsequently leaked due to faulty parts, and he came right away and cheerfully replaced the faulty parts at no charge.

They were accurate, prompt and worked out a time to arrive. The price was what he quoted the sprinkler head.

Jim Trudel of Lake Erie was a pleasure to work with. He was extremely patient and professional in dealing with all of the above challenges and the work was completed as promised. He was also very forthright and helpful during the competitive bidding process our homeowners' association conducted, and also honest about the fact that we might need landscape touch-up after his workers were finished. They did a good job replacing existing landscaping, but some touch up was needed since that is not their expertise.

Jim came on time, returned phone calls, was diligent in finding the cause of the problems and was fair in his pricing.

These guys do a great job. They are punctual, knowledgeable, and very reasonable. They recently blew out our system for $60. We will continue to use them for our irrigation needs.
