He knew last year I needed repair and also suspected I did not have a footer. My steps were cracking and the cement between the bricks were cracking also.
I asked him last year, when he was repairing some bricks at the back of my house, to do the work this spring and he set me up as his first job of the season.
He arrived every morning at 7:15 a.m. and worked through to approximately 5:00 p.m. until the job was done. My dog required some attention periodically and he was very gracious in that matter. (They became good friends.)
I noticed him leveling all the way through and he got rid of some holes I had in my walk way also. They look beautiful and the cement in between the bricks matches the rest of the brickwork on the house.
I have an older home so I am definitely keeping his contact info at hand because it WILL BE HIM I call for brickwork!
I called him 8/25/2015 and told him that I had brick with no concrete between them on 2 sides of my house. He was very busy and said he would stop by the first chance he got to evaluate it. He arrived on 8/28/2015 and viewed the problem. He was hoping to schedule for the spring, but when he saw it he said "Busy or not, this can't go through the winter like this." He said he would fit me in the first chance he had.
10/20/2015 he called to schedule for 10/21/2015 but I was out of town. He called again on 10/21/2015 and scheduled for 10/22/2015 at 8:00 a.m.
He arrived on time, layed tarps down to protect my yard and got to work. What I thought was going to be--slap some concrete between those bricks, turned out to be a tear out of all compromised bricks and a wall rebuild in three separate areas. (He saw a bow in part of a wall and rebuilt that too.) He matched the whole back of the house with a new concrete coating so it all looks uniform.
I have already set up an appointment for next spring to rebuild my front steps. I highly recommend him. He is very busy so you have to plan ahead to get him. I'm sure he doesn't want another me in emergency status!! But if an emergency arises, he will do his best to help you. He is very neat during his work and makes sure his cleanup leaves the yard as he found it.

The A/C was removed and bricked up in a day. The A/C was a large unit. Ronald and David did a excellent job in removing the unit without causing any damage on the inside of the house. Ronald did such a great job re-bricking the exposed area you can barely tell the A/C was ever there to begin with.
Ronald and David take great pride in their work and the end results show it.
That meant they had to do a whole new footer and had to dig up 4 feet to do so. They did a lot of ornamental stone work for me as well. The work took a total of 6 days to finish. I had him redo my chimney last year and when I was running into issue and asked for him to post pond the stoop for a year he was very understanding and accommodation. He was very kind when I had them
Removal of porch steps, or remnants thereof, excavation down to footer, poured new footer with rebar to current code, new supporting concrete blocks, rebuilt all steps with new footpads, added center support, replaced some brickwork on porch as necessary.
The work looks great. Colors all match up well. It will probably outlast the house!
Ron is a professional, very punctual. Ron had done some tuck pointing for me in the past. I found him to be reasonable and he told me what not to be concerned about and also what might come up in the future...he didn't try to sell me on something I didn't need.
For this project, the work took about 9 days only due to the fact that we had very rainy weather and he had to schedule around the weather. This was a smaller job for him so he was able to get to it early...he books up quickly. I would recommend him.
I believe Ron is one of those people who takes great pride in his work and believes quality is of the utmost importance. His employee, Gabe, who worked with him on my porch, told me that he loves his job and that they do quality work that will stand the test of time. The fact that his employee is so happy says a lot about Ron.
Ron was also very responsive anytime I left him a voicemail before and during the process. He always returned the calls promptly.
He is a true professional and I would highly recommend his work.
- I called R G MASONRY to get an estimate Ron came out two days latter and showed me why my chimney needed rebuilt and not just tuck pointed. There was not any sales pressure just left the estimate and said to call him if we decided to have him do the work. After getting a second estimate which was lower I decided to go with R G MAONRY. The reason I went with Ron was he did not just rebuild what was visible but down bellow the roof line which requires the chimney to have its flashing removed and replaced. The cheaper estimate only rebuilt the chimney from flashing up. Ron did an excellent job matching the new chimney brick with my brick home, he is respect full of your landscape all old bricks and mortar are put in buckets and lowered down, other than having a new chimney you would never know he was there.
I received a call back from Ron the same day I left him a message. He showed up the next evening to give me an estimate. Since my job was an interior job he was able to fit me into his busy schedule during a rainy day, it even being on a Saturday. He removed both I-Beam pockets in the basement and rebuilt/replaced them with brand new brick and mortar, all cut and fit to size. He was quick, clean, professional and was not a penny higher than his quote. No sales pitch, only fixed what was necessary.
