We really wanted things to work out but we had to discontinue after about a month. Mulching was supposed to be done 3 weeks ago and said on Friday that it would be definitely be done by Tuesday. Never showed, never called. We've had to do a big weeding twice now because the mulch didn't go down earlier. Mowing ~ the first mow looked like my middle schooler tried it for the first time. Whole swaths of grass not cut, lines not straight, no edging done, no cleanup (stray clippings were all over the sidewalk, etc). We had to recut the lawn that time. Subsequent mows were better. Wishing there was some contact as to when they were coming to mow so we could clean up the dog waste prior. Maybe took on too much work this season and we got a bad crew? Hate to give a bad review but we definitely

Crew showed up on time, ready to work. The work was excellent quality, the crew very friendly and professional. They worked so efficiently that the work was done far sooner than I expected. I would definitely recommend Lakewood Lawncare, and I will definitely use the service again.

I made my original phone call on 4/27 and left a message for a quote regarding landscape updating.  I received a voicemail call back the next day, asking for my address and availability.  I returned the call later that day with all the requested information.  I never received a call back.  I actually called back again on 5/4 to follow up.  I never received another call.

After the initial yard clean up Chris and I spoke and I expressed interest in starting a monthly maintenance for my yard in the following spring. I also expressed that I wanted to use only organic weed killer or no weed killer at all, as my dog likes to eat grass etc. Chris informed me that he couldn't do the monthly clean up without spraying and discouraged me from using organic as this would be much more costly. When I first called him to schedule my yard clean out, that was one of the things that was really important to me, but now it was a problem. I again expressed my concern with not using organic or not spraying at all, and he continued to try to talk me out of it. So I caved and told him fine, go ahead and spray. We decided on a monthly service that would begin in the spring. He told me he would call me in the spring to let me know when they would be starting the monthly maintenance.
It is now July and I have yet to hear from Chris, I called in May and never heard back. My yard is back to where it was before he started so even if I wanted to get it back to where it was before i would have to start over again and pay $1200.00 for the clean up again.

I've been using LLC for my lawn and snow removal service for several years. It is a seamless activity that happens without me needing to even think about it at all. Chris just schedules and takes care of everything. If I need something special - like spring- clean up or bed edging and mulching - he quickly provides a reasonable quote. I couldn't be more pleased.

The yard needed some serious work. Besides the usual spring cleanup, we had some shrubs that had to go as well as a weed filled disaster area created when we lost a large tree last year. Chris and team came in cleaned it all up, then returned a few weeks later to mulch in our newly planted garden. They were professional, hardworking group. Thanks to Lakewood Landscaping our yard has gone from toxic to showplace. We would definitely use them again.

My planting beds had gotten completely overgrown, full of really invasive, winding, wrapping and impossible to remove weeds. I realized it had gone beyond what I was able to handle and asked Chris to come talk to me about doing some major cleanout. We walked through the yard and I identified certain things I wanted to save (rosebushes, hydrangeas, etc.) and told him to scrap the rest. They did in 2 days what I never would have been able to do on my own. Chris also called to make sure I was happy with what they'd done and asked if there was anything else -- so I thought that was nice follow up. My only criticism is that I think they could be a little more responsive when you're asking for info. They were to have sent me a quote for what they would charge to come in and mulch the beds, and also said they would tell me how much I needed in case I wanted to do it myself. I never got that info (and am now reminded that I need to call them again).

I really like the owner, Chris. He is very nice and responsive and has reasonable prices. They don't just whip through the work, they really take the time to do a good job. I never see any left over clippings on the lawn or sidewalk so they do a great job cleaning up.

We were told by Lakewood Lawn care that they would come by each week and determine if the grass needed a cut, and they would not perform a cut if it didn't need it. They cut our grass three times in August and three times in September. Then, much to our dismay we received our October bill and they had cut our lawn FOUR times. One of the times was the 13th and then again on the 17th. Our tenants do not water the lawn and we do in our current home and we have NEVER needed to cut the lawn after 4 days of growth in OCTOBER! We feel that we were being taken advantage of since we don't live in the home.

"I AM SORRY THAT THE HOMEOWNER FEELS THAT LAKEWOOD LAWNCARE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THEM. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT THE CASE. AS STATED BY THE HOMEOWNER, WE PROVIDED WEEKLY LAWN MAINTENANCE FOR THEIR PROPERTY. I INFORMED THEM THAT WE HAVE A WEEKLY SCHEDULE, AND IF NOT NEEDED (DUE TO LACK OF GROWTH) WE DO NOT MOW. FOR THIS CUSTOMER, WE VISITED THEIR PROPERTY ON THURSDAYS UNLESS INCLEMENT WEATHER ALTERED THE SCHEDULE. WHEN THE HOMEOWNER CALLED IN RESPONSE TO THE INVOICE HE RECEIVED, HE LEFT A MESSAGE QUESTIONING THE NEED FOR A MOWING FOUR DAYS APART IN OCTOBER. I REPLIED THAT DUE TO WEATHER, WE WERE UNABLE TO MOW ON THURSDAY, HAD TO WAIT UNTIL SATURDAY, AND WHEN WE RETURNED ON THE NEXT WEEK, JUDGED THAT THE LAWN NEEDED TO BE MOWED. I STATED THAT IF THAT WAS A REAL PROBLEM FOR HIM, TO PLEASE CALL BACK TO DISCUSS. UNFORTUNATELY, HE DID NOT CALL BACK, AND WE DID NOT DISCUSS THE MATTER FURTHER. CONCERNING THE DECISION MADE BY MY CREW TO MOW AS THEY DID, IT WAS A JUDGMENT CALL THAT THEY OFTEN NEED TO MAKE. THE CUSTOMER IS CORRECT - NORMALLY, THE NEED FOR MOWING WOULD DECREASE IN OCTOBER. HOWEVER, THIS PAST OCTOBER THE AVERAGE DAILY TEMPERATURE WAS 78 RATHER THAN THE NORMAL OF 60. THIS KEPT THE LAWN GROWING INTO THE FALL. I AM EXTREMELY FAIR AND REASONABLE IN MY DEALINGS WITH CUSTOMERS. I AGREE WITH THE CUSTOMER THAT BETTER COMMUNICATION WOULD BE HELPFUL. HAD WE BEEN ABLE TO HAVE A CONVERSATION RATHER THAN PLAYING PHONE TAG WE WOULD HAVE WORKED THIS SIMPLE ISSUE OUT."

Chris and his crew were with me every step of the way, making sure that everything was done on time and according to my wishes. They even made suggestions as to how I could reserve some tasks [re-planting, re-landscaping] until I had more funds. Chris also mentioned that, depending on my financial situation [retiree], we could utilize a half-now, half-later payment scheme! My property now looks much better than it has for a long time.
