Excellent. The vet, Melanie, was quick and thorough which is ideal when dealing with two terrified cats.

They said well since they were so close, next time hold off on Jeremy and do both boys at the same time. He didn't have his poo-poo checked because I couldn't find it in the snow.

We have all the vets and they are wonderful. We have two dogs. I love them. We are moving further out in Parma and I am going to stay with them. They're wonderful. The animals just love them. We've been in Lakewood for over 40 years and we started taking all our animals there. So we started using them over 40 years ago. They were on the corner of St. Charles when we started going.

The cost was a few hundred dollars because they kept him for a couple of days to see if they could help him out but they couldn't. They were very good with the animal. I thought it was a little pricey.

It feels weird to be leaving a review for this service but then I remember how much I wanted information when it came time to make that decision.
My cat, Hope, had been suffering from feline asthma for the last year. She'd lost 40% of her body weight. I was giving her two different drugs by inhaler twice a day. She'd stopped eating. Couldn't make it to the litter box. I finally decided it was time to end her suffering and make that last appointment.
When I called the office I could barely form a coherent sentence. The moment I said the reason I was calling, I could hear the receptionist shift into empathy mode. I was crying so hard my speech was unintelligible but she was patient and kind. She gently explained what would be involved but then told me that Dr. Konecny would call me back.
Dr. Konecny called me later that day. She asked if I wanted her to examine Hope just in case I had any doubts. I didn't but I really appreciated the offer. if I'd thought there was anything left to do, I would've done it. I scheduled the appointment for two days later.
When I showed up to the office, once again I was crying and incoherent. The entire staff was kind and thoughtful. I was showed to an exam room within five minutes. A vet assistant (I was too distraught to get names) told me that Dr. Konecny would be in shortly then she said that she was going to handle the payment so that I didn't need to deal with that after the procedure.
Dr. Konecny came in and did the thing I've always loved: she spoke to Hope before she spoke to me. She took one look at Hope and said, and quot;Oh honey, you don't even look like yourself anymore.and quot;
She asked me once again if I wanted her to examine Hope. Then she explained exactly what what the euthanasia procedure entailed.
A few minutes later I looked into the eyes of my friend as she left this world.
When it was over Dr. Konecny told me, and quot;She was just waiting for you to give her permission to go. She's okay now. She's okay.and quot;
Weeks later I picked up her ashes. I also got a condolence card from the staff containing a small ink paw print and a tuft of her fur.
Putting Hope to sleep was one of the hardest things I've ever done. The staff at Lakewood Animal Hospital was a blessing during such a difficult time.
Also, just to clarify, the euthanasia was free. The cost I incurred came from the cremation.

They took excellent care of our 11 year old boxer before, during, and after her tumor surgery. There was a complication and they had to go back in for a second look later in the day. She healed up nicely and is back to her old self! Thank you to all of the staff for treating our girl like family.

It went wonderful. We have been going there for 35-40 years. You can get a same day appointment if necessary. The staff and the doctors really love animals and care about their health greatly. Also, they offer accupuncture and other alternative medicines.

We took our took cats and two dogs to this vet for several years and were fairly happy, especially with Dr. Curren, she's very responsive and great with our animals. We weren't as thrilled with the other vets in the practice, especially Dr. Rog. Dr. Rog never showed any interest in our animals, so they were never too comfortable with him. He would cut me off when I tried to explain a symptom to him, and after he gave his diagnosis and treatment I had a vet tech tell me an alternate method, so apparently I wasn't the only one not confident in his advice. I ended having it put on my animals' records that they weren't to go to Dr. Rog under any circumstances, but when emergencies came up he was always the only vet available, so we switched practices and have been much happier. I can't recommend this practice because of Dr. Rog.

The dog was sick and they kept her overnight and helped her out. She had suddenly become ill, and I thought it might be rather bad, thankfully they were able to help her and instruct us on how to keep her well. She is doing great now.

We have gone to them for many years. They are able to get my animals in quickly. There are several doctors in there and I can request a doctor if I wish, if I want to see one or the other. We do have our favorites there. They are very accommodating. The whole staff and assistants are really good. It is another business that I think does very well for the customer.

I took the cat in in the morning and was able to pick him up at suppertime. Was given a sheet of post surgical information. He responded exceedingly well - better than anticipated. On Wednesday evening received a call from them asking how he was doing and thanking me for taking the time to talk with them. Another great experience with Lakewood Animal Hospital over the past ten years. Thank you..

As mentioned earlier the entire experience was positive. The staff, receptionist, technicians, and vet., were very compassionate and friendly. They took us in at the scheduled time and had us out within 30 minutes.
Our pet seemed at ease during the entire visit. We have used Lakewood Animal Hospital for a long time and they really seem to understand the bond between pet and owner. They explain the diagnosis and the options in plain language. We have never been disappointed with their services.
