The actual driveway work that they did was very good. The communication back and forth about start dates,etc. was 100% all up to me. Then I get a phone call after weeks of no communication and I am asked "Can we start tomorrow?" They promised 2 things that they did NOT deliver on. One was putting the AC condenser back on the concrete pad (the pad is still in my garage, and Koz's people put it on some concrete bricks which my HVAC people said was quite uneven), and also a worker had told me he would brick up a little area that would prohibit critters from getting into the space under my back porch. Texts went unanswered for weeks, so i just decided they were never going to do it, and I should hire a firm to do both of those things. Again, the driveway was well done. The people on the job were professional and courteous. Once you pay a contractor, apparently almost any contractor, they won't come back to complete the tasks on your punch list. I thought they would be different.

My experience with Koz Company was very poor. I contacted Russ Koz directly in the middle of the summer about having a concrete sidewalk re-poured, because it was cracked and I had been cited by the city of Parma for a violation. I was very clear and straightforward from the beginning about the compliance date I was given by the city, and the urgency of the situation. I was told it would definitely be done by the end of the month, to meet the compliance date, and would likely be done weeks earlier. I was also very clear about the fact that I needed five sidewalk squares replaced, and was given a price of $200 per square, for a total of $1000. I called six times in the weeks leading up to the compliance date- and each time I called, I was assured that it would be done in the next few days. I was also told twice that the price would be increased- first to $1100, then to $1400, in spite of the previous quote given. Eventually the compliance date came and went, and nobody showed up, or called to explain, and because I was getting married that week, I gave up on Koz, and began pursuing other contractors. Then finally, on my honeymoon, nearly a month after the compliance date, Joe Anthony, a connection of Russ, called me to schedule a time to do it. Although I was frustrated, I needed it done, and was worried about the city, so I agreed to have him come out and do it. The day he showed up, I got a summons to court in the mail, for not having it repaired on time. I was extremely frustrated, and graciously explained my frustration- and got a lot of explanations and apologies. Eventually the sidewalk did get done, and Joe even wrote a letter to the judge explaining his fault. But at the end of the day, I had to spend a whole morning in court, receive $130 in fines and fees, and was late to the hospital where my nephew was being born because I was stuck in court. I am myself a remodeling contractor, and used to do concrete myself- If I had done this to a customer—which I never would—I would have been ashamed of myself, and would have comp’d at least the labor- if not the whole job. I asked him only to refund my fines and court fees, but refused. I obviously would recommend that all customers stay away from this company.

Managed the job from plans to permitting and completed a garage build including doors, roofing and windows.  The crews were extremely hard-working and thorough.  Started early and worked late - scheduled around some bad weather and protected the work that was in progress. 
They also adjusted the plans to the site in a way that made sense without affecting the cost and improved the finished appearance  greatly.  We are very, very pleased.

Koz and Company LLC they workmanship was excellent. It was done within the estimate. They came out and gave an estimate, very thorough and then followed through with it and matched it completely. That was done almost a year ago, the work has help up beautifully, we are very pleased with everything. We used them because they had been used by other people and we thought their work was well done and it was.
