Great work at a great price

Service was better than expected.

We placed an emergency call to Mr. Gorski when our garage door folded up on itself just as we were leaving on a weekend trip. We called Mr. Gorski while we were on the road and asked him to stop by our house for an estimate. Not only did he respond quickly, he also temporarily closed the door for safety. After talking with Mr. Gorski we decided to replace both garage doors. We found him to be courteous, professional, reasonably priced and prompt. We are very pleased with the results and we highly recommend his services.

He came out and repaired my garage and it works just 85%. Sometimes it doesn't go up and I have to get out of my car and give it a small lift. I have called him and told him and he told me to spray WD40 on the track. I told him it was not a track issue and it was something to do with the opener. He said he would come out and that was almost a week and half ago. I asked him for a quote for 3 other garages and he said he would get back to me by Monday and I still haven't heard from him at all. I would not recommend him. He is a nice guy but he is a full time fireman and he does this on the side. I understand he cannot work around his schedules but he will not get back to you or he will do something one day and then not show up which I don't like. He did a check on Saturday and he said he would be here on Monday to work on my garages and it is Tuesday and I haven't heard from him as yet. I sent him a text yesterday telling him that I haven't heard from him and I haven't got anything back. I went with him because the company from where I bought my garage doors was where he was working earlier and they are expensive though they are prompt. Their service would have cost me twice as much as so I thought I would give him a shot because he used to work for them. The springs broke on my garage and so it got jammed half way up. He came out and took care of the problem for the most part. If he had to come out and do whatever adjustments you would get a different review because I thought he was on point. These are the dangers you run into when you deal with a one man shop. I think he is a nice guy and he sounds knowledgeable about what he is doing but beware that you might have to chase him a little bit to come out. If you are looking for a price break and trying to get someone to do the work then he seems okay. You may have trouble with follow up so you will have to make sure that it works pretty well the first time and before he leaves. Some people don't mind dealing with the headache to get a low price. Not showing up to do the work that you are not paid for is one thing and not showing up for work that you are already paid for is another thing and that doesn't fit well with me. His price seemed reasonable though it didn't seem like he was doing voluntary work.

We spent about $150 on that work. We found them on the list and thought that they were very, very good. Considering the service I got, the price wasn’t bad.

It went very well. He ordered the door for us, was on time and installed it without any issues. He even came up on a holiday to install is so we would not be without a door over night.

He is fantastic. He came out yesterday. He was here five minutes and he had it solved. He didn't ask for forty dollars I had to force him to take the money he was only going to charge 20.
