JIM CONFER DRYWALL AND THEN SOME

They did an excellent job. They did a very good job and cleaned up after themselves. There wasn?t anything bad about them. We were happy with them because they seemed to have found some good contractors. We just think that the price we paid was worth it.

Jim and his brother redid a living room ceiling. I had originally asked for two rooms, but when the estimates from all contractors exceeded our budget, I descoped the job to just the living room. Jim worked with us to ensure the job could be done within our budget. I had stripped the original sheetrock back to the studs. They installed insulation, hung the drywall and completed the finish work including and absolutely beautiful 6' sunburst pattern around the mount for the ceiling fan. They were always on time, completed the work in three visits (full day to hang, half day to tape and prep, less than 2 hours to finish), worked around our busy schedule, cleaned up after themselves, and generally were among the best contractors I have ever dealt with. The price was exceptionally reasonable for the quality of the work. I would definitely use them again.

He was outstanding! He was here everytime he said he would be, and he was on time. He did a beautiful job! He cleaned up when he was done. He was personable. He was everything you would want in a contractor. I would be proud to show my ceiling off to the president! We gave him more than he charged us, just because he was so outstanding. He quoted us $300.00 less than other people for the same job.

Very well. On his second day, some of my butt joints cracked. Jim was able to repair and redo these 7 joints with no additional delay (or charge)! Jim was very picky that it all looked great, and it showed.

He was wonderful, did a beautiful job. I was really happy with his work. He went above and beyond. On his way home, he called and said he was sorry that I didn't offer to help you move your furniture back, and offered to come back. Beautiful work, I would recommend him highly. It's nice to have people like him in the world.

He responded to my call for an estimate promptly. I had to call him back while waiting for an estimate from another contractor. I called him back and he set a date he'd be there. He arrived on time and did not waste any time getting the job set up. He surveyed the work area, protected walls, floor and chandelier and proceeded to tear out damaged ceiling. Ran into unexpected amount of blown in insulation which he promptly disposed of and even pointed out where I might have a problem with the new roof I had recently had replaced. He left the ceiling open for me to show my roof repair contractor the problem, and said he would be back the next day to finish the repair. He arrived promptly and finished the ceiling repair in a very professional manner. He's a very talented drywall repair person. Said he had to let the plaster dry out and would be back the next day. He arrived promptly & finished painting the dining room. Again very professional and cleaned up after completing the job.

Great. The delivery people, the hangers and finisher all did a great job. The drywall was sized properly so that seams were minimized. The finisher Jim Confer was particularly good. His work was so good that he had to do very little sanding. Interior corners and corner beads all look good. The ceilings were very level and textured well (he matched existing texture closely and added an impressive sunburst in the dining room). The patches all look very good. He did extra work to compensate for crooked windows/doors and some crooked studs. Overall, this was a very high quality job. Also, Jim was trustworthy; he did much of the work at night and on a weekend when I was not there. I left him a key and never had any problems; he actually left me some extra material and let me borrow his scaffolding.
