Called Performance Electric to request an estimate to update the obsolete electrical system on a 69 year old house. Paul Fovargue responded quickly, came out to provide the estimate, and scheduled the work. Paul arrived promptly and proceeded to do an excellent quality job. He is a very honest and skilled professional. I would not hesitate to call Paul for any future electrical work.

Paul is always punctual and professional. My husband and I have used his services many times as we live in an older home and are slowly updating each room.

It went really well. The guy who came out basically took his time and made sure that he did a good job. He fixed a couple of things as far as when he needed to modify an area for the installation of a light. He went through it and took the extra time and took care of it, even going over the allotted amount of time for the appointment. He was very professional and he was on time. He was very flexible as far as when the job ended up entailing more time than he actually expected, he still took his time and made sure that it was done correctly.

He is just fabulous. He is very reliable, competent and I would use him anytime.

After 10 years I put up my all electric home for sale and fortunately found a buyer within just a few weeks. As part of the general course of conduct the buyer will have various inspections performed one of which was a general home inspection. The buyers inspector ( although terrible overall) noticed three double taps into my main panel box. ( he failed to notice the glaringly obvious code violation of a backed-in generator but notice the double taps lol ) For those reading this who do not know what a double tap is, it is simply the practice of using the same breaker for more than one circuit. In my humble opinion, as long as you were not overloading the circuits it's completely safe. Generally speaking the worst-case scenario is you will flip the breaker. Notwithstanding that, it is technically a code violation and the buyer asked that I get it corrected.
I called Paul from performance electric sometime last year, without charging me, he walked me through an issue I was having over the phone until it was corrected. This man is honest as the day is long and is now my electrician when I need anything. This particular request comes with some degree of urgency because I am under some pressure from the buyers to prove that the box was corrected so they can release the contingency.
Here's how it went down... I called Paul at around nine o'clock Monday morning 5/20/2013, he was at my house at approximately 1 PM, charged me $120 to fix the violations, and corrected a serious violation that their inspector missed for free. I'm going to call Paul to install all my new fixtures, ceiling fans, and whole house fan in the new house. Hire Paul, you'll be impressed.

He answered my call and came to my home within in an hour.  He fixed what I had called about and another electrical issue I had not called about!  I am a repeat customer and, like the first time, he was prompt, knowledgable, and professional.  I would recommend him highly and will use his firm again.

I had an overloaded main panel that needed to be split into two panels, plus I wanted provisions for a generator input and also a run for a new garage I am building this spring.  Paul was the 2nd electrician I called after another highly-rated company on Angie's List wanted $80+ just to come out and quote the job. He showed up at the agreed time for the estimate, we discussed the options and came up with a plan.  Paul emailed me a detailed quote within a couple days.  Once the installation date was scheduled, he again showed up on time for the work, and completed everything on time and the price was exactly as quoted.  He is personable and professional.  I was pleased with how everything went from start to finish, and will gladly call him again when I need the new garage wired.

Paul did an excellent job of repairing several outdoor lighting fixtures that were likely original to the house from 35+ years ago.  He was punctual for both the estimate and the repair/installation.  This was not an easy job as he had to manuver around bushes and plants while during intermittent rain.  The job was done efficiently and even came in a little under his estimate.  Not too often  that happens.

Paul showed up on time to provide the estimate for the job. He clearly explained the various options and did not try to over sell additional features like other estimators I had come in. Once I decided to move forward with his company, he was able to meet my timeline needs. He came on the day and time he side he would and completed the job in the timeframe he gave. His work was well done (all the wiring was neatly run and we have had no issues). He cleaned up the job site afterward. I would highly recommend this company and Paul to anyone needing electrical work in the area.

I found this company on Angie's list. I called and spoke with Paul on Monday, and he was able to squeeze our job into his Tuesday schedule. He called to let me know he was on the way, and arrived as scheduled.
He repaired the post lamp quickly. Although I hadn't mentioned the outlet on the phone, Paul agreed to look at it also.
That repair was completed quickly as well. The bill was reasonable for the services provided.
Overall, I was very pleased with every aspect of the service call. I would definitely not hesitate to use this company in the future!

I e-mailed the company and received a reply from Paul approximately a week later.  He gave me some basic information and asked me to describe the job more thoroughly.  I replied with the requested information and he gave me an approximate date and cost to complete the job.  His availability was about a month out from my original request and asked if we could wait that period of time.  We agreed that we could wait and I contacted him back about three weeks later.  He called and asked if I wanted him to come out and provide a written estimate.  We agreed to set a date to perform the work.  Paul arrived on time, was professional, courteous and very neat.  He completed the job and the total cost came in at the lower end of his original estimate  I highly recommend him and the company for any future work.
