Extremely well, though I did not know that they were using dry wall compounding rather than plaster. That's the ONLY reason for a grade lower than an "A". I would have liked to be informed about that fact, but because they did use dry wall compound, painters were able to follow on their heels with their own work without the thirty-day curing process that I previously did not know was involved with plastering itself either. Therefore, I think it worked out for the best. I would like to have known of their process and materials prior to the start of the job to be a fully informed customer.

Mr Jurrus and his crew were meticulous craftsmen and did all I had anticipated. I am delighted with the results. As I have lots of plaster work inside the house, I anticipate calling them again.

Ed and his sons are very courteous and professional. My plaster looks great, they did a nice job cleaning up after they finished, and they even humored my toddler who wanted to "help." I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who is need of their services.

Was a two step process. Initially a crew of four people came to do a little bit of demolition before the repair work could be properly done. The sanding process came a couple days later after the material had properly hardened. The work was smooth, level, and blended in well with the rest of the house. They cleaned up after they were done and were fairly quick.

We had water damage in a downstairs bathroom from a malfunctioning valve in our upstairs shower.  Needless to say the ceiling and wall in the downstairs bathroom took the brunt of the running water.  We contacted three plasterers, one didn't respond and the other gave a lower bid than Jurrus, but when Mr. Jurrus came in to survey the problem his knowledge and expertise seemed superior.  Another reason I was inclined to go with Jurrus is that the other plaster made no mention of replastering but wanted to substitute the plaster with sheetrock.  As I found out plastering is becoming a lost art and I was fortunate to find an artist in Mr. Jurrus.  He did an excellent job and was thorough and painstaking in repairing the walls.  I was very satisfied with his work and will use him again.  You can't go wrong with this company.

We had a pipe burst in a second floor bedroom.  The living room ceiling came down and  part of the cove molding and wall was torn out.  In addition, part of the basement ceiling came down also.  He and his crew came in and made it look better than before.  Because there was improperly applied wallpaper, the walls needed to be stripped, washed and all were skim coated.  It looks wonderful.  They also touched up some other areas of the house and all look great.  Now I wish we didn't  texture the bad ceiling in the family room.
It was not cheap, but I think that is what you have to pay to get the real deal.  They had to completely reconstruct the cove which of course is one of a kind and 2 feet wide.

the plaster repair on the ceiling was a several day job simply because plaster needed time to dry. Ed Jurrus gave me the timeline and stuck to it. He always arrived on time, was very friendly and professional, and did a nice job repairing my ceiling. He wasn't the cheapest estimate I had gotten, but I would recommend him based on work quality and a pleasant experience with a nice guy.

Yes - Ed is great.  We used him a few years ago for major work on our chimney so when I found a few spots on our foundation I gave him a call.  It was super easy - Ed came out to assess and then called to give me the quote.  I agreed and we eventually found a time to get on the schedule.  He was honest upfront that there were a few large jobs he had to work first before he tackled mine but I was fine with that as long as we got the job done before winter.  The job ended up being 2 days of work that was split up.  He was able to do the work when I wasn't here so it really was convenient.

They were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves. It was a great experience. I would highly recommend them to other people. They were reasonably priced for the amount of work that they had to do. They’ve been in the business for a long time. I didn’t know about them prior to researching them on Angie’s List. I was very pleased with the work that they did. I had different fractured textures on the ceilings in different rooms and they were able to match all of them. They matched all the textures to the existing ceiling. I would use them again in the future.

Jurris Plasterer was professional and freindly from start to finish. They were very reasonably priced, and finished the job as quoted. They were a little late in their start, but once they began work, they were excellent. I would highly recommend them.

He is very good. The business has been around for over forty years. He was hired by the remodeler as someone who can rebuild plaster, which is a lost art. He did the walls of the bathroom. The walls are perfect. They had to put the plumbing for my bathroom in the garage, and this guy built a box for it. He made the walls for that look exactly like my garage walls. It looks like it has always been there.

Excellent! Ed coordinated to get scaffolding installed and once the scaffolding was up the work was completed fairly quickly. They were very detailed and clean. When the scaffolding was finally removed at the end of the project, it was a WOW! Our chimney looks amazing and brand new. We needed this work done in order to maintain the integrity of the chimney and to seal around the new flashing we had installed last year (to stop a leak). Truly a top notch job, old world talent, and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this company for stucco work on old homes.

They were prompt, neat, courteous and did a superb job in matching the existing finish. The finished product was terrific! I would definitely call upon them again and would recommend them without hesitation. Their work is clearly ''old world'' craftsman style.
