Kitchen King

This is the first time I experienced a big renovation. Kitchen King did a great job of not only providing a quality product but walking me through the process. They sold me a beautiful set of cabinets customized to my space and the quality and workmanship was outstanding. Bill Hawkins,the owner, provided referrals for all the services I needed. Every tradesman who followed them in to do their part of the renovation was impressed with the quality and appearance of the cabinets.All tradesmen that Bill referred me to were able to schedule within a few days of my contacting them. No question or request was unimportant to him. I ordered cabinets on September 7. My tearout took place on November 10. I expect to be moving into my new kitchen by December 16 at the latest. Cost below is for cabinet install and tear out only but the total cost of my renovation ended up being around $30,000.00 which included new appliances and a complete electrical upgrade.

From start to finish it went amazingly. Bill had great ideas and the people that worked for him were nothing but professional .they cleaned up every night and tried to make having no kitchen pretty painless. I refer this company to everyone.

It was great.  Bill is very approachable and easy to work with.  He has a great group of contractors too.  My 1970's era kitchen with Formica counter tops now looks like it could appear in  2016 House Beautiful!
We had custom Shaker style cabinets installed, including a lazy Susan, mixer cubby, pantry, and a spice rack pull- out next to the stove along with a built in microwave, granite counters, GE appliances, new light fixtures, a tile backsplash and a reconfiguaration of the work space around the cooking area.

Our hats are off to the Kitchen King.  Bill Hawkins is a great communicator and did a wonderful job of coordinating our kitchen project from start to finish.  The project involved the purchase and installation of new cabinets and counter tops.  Bill showed us many cabinet, counter top, and hardware options and offered his own, candid advice based on his many years of experience in the business.  He coached us regarding appliance purchases and offered helpful advice.   He brought the cabinet maker to our house for final measurements and to get a feel for our preferences and the style and layout that we had in mind.  The three man work crew arrived on time each day and were a pleasure to watch and to talk with.  They were true craftsmen with an attention to detail and a pride that showed in the way they did their work.  They answered our questions in a helpful manner and offered tips on dry walling, plumbing,carpentry, and electrical work.  They left the work site clean each day and allowed us a few days in between to complete the gas line, electrical, and drywall work that we needed to finish after they removed the old cabinets and counter tops.  The cabinets arrived on time and are every bit as promised?great craftsmanship, style, fit, and finish.  To our pleasant surprise, the counter top arrived sooner than promised.  This was a blessing, as we had been without a kitchen sink for two weeks?washing dishes in a laundry tub got old fast! The counter tops are beautiful.  The designers and installers from O?Brien Cut Stone did a first-class job.  All told, we could not be more pleased with how things turned out.  Bill did a great job of keeping us informed along the way and in coordinating the timing between the arrival of cabinets, counter tops, and hardware.  He saw it through from start to finish as if it was his own kitchen, and for that we are grateful.

We have worked with Bill since the summer of 2012. He has helped us tranform our kitchen, master bathroom, and guest bathroom / laundry room. He is a skilled designer who thinks of all the tiny details that are important to the flow and ease of use. The custom amish made cabinets from Shawnee are exquisite and are of the highest quality. The installation is top notch and the end results are beautiful. We found the price of these custom solid wood cabinets to be a lot less than what we would have paid for far inferior quality at a big box store. We would highly recommend the kitchen king for all your cabinetry needs.

Bill Hawkins the owner of Kitchen King was outstanding. We met him with the diagram of our kitchen and he laid out a great floor plan utilizing our space and objectives.  He had Amish made cabinets that were solid wood, head over heals above what we had.  The guys came in and measured the kitchen. The cabinets were made from scratch and delivered and installed on time. Bill hooked us up with our fabricator Jayme O'Brien from O'Brien Cut Stone for our granite countertops.  The experience with Jayme was also over the top.  We found our stone and again it was installed on time and perfectly cut . Bill also connected us with Dependable Electric, we found we had to have extensive upgrades to meet code and address our desire for upgrades which included additional lighting especially under the counter and pendent lighting. The windows have been ordered from Just Windows we are currently waiting for the weather to break to have them installed. The real story however is Bill.  He was really on top of the project. His connection with the customers, constantly calling and making sure we were satisfied was seriously the best I have ever had with any contractor. He stayed on the other guys to make sure we were taken care of in a timely and professional manner.

They were very cooperative and thorough. They did a great job and care about their work.

Don was pleasant to work with and very accommodating. We have not decided yet whether we will continue with the remodel.

every thing went smooth from the beginning bill came over and measured the kitchen. then I went to his showroom and chose the cabinets and he had the kitchen on his computer and I okd the layout. his brother mike did the installation and it was extremely .well organized and very professional.  I am totally satisfied with the whole process from the  beginning  to the end.

I would absolutely recommend bill in the future for anybodys kitchen  project

Don called right away and scheduled an appointment.  He was on time, very professional, and did a thorough job measuring and evaluating the kitchen, examined the walls in the dining room that were adjacent to the kitchen walls, and asked questions about what we might want to accomplish.  Within a reasonable time he emailed me his plan and quote as to what might be done.  I am pleased with his work and when I am ready to do the remodeling I will definitely call him back. I would highly recommend him and his company.

Bill designed the layout of the kitchen and provided useful advice.  He returned to our home several times after the initial installation to supervise finishing touches. He worked with Shawnee Wood Products, based in Middlefield, who built and installed our cabinets.  They worked very h****** the days of installation and were professional and courteous throughout.  They returned to carry out a few adjustments to our satisfaction.  We are very pleased with our new kitchen and would recommend the Kitchen King to anyone looking to replace their kitchen.

Everything went perfect from start to finish. We are very happy with the end results.
