We started with mowing and snow removal services. When he advertised spring cleaning we signed up. We paid for spring cleaning and mowing/snow removable services by the bank "Bill Pay" service. He admittedly did not keep up with paperwork. Therefore, we did not receive invoices-as promised-but continued to pay a consistent amount via Bill Pay although they missed showing up several times. (For example, sometimes the grass was not mowed for three weeks.) We had to call often during the winter months to be assured that snow would be removed from the driveway. He was better with snow removal.He made promises to do additional work that was requested but never followed through. Given the lack of invoices and missed weeks, we estimate that he was overpaid by $200 dollars. When I called to cancel the services this year he called back immediately and left a message to acknowledge receipt of my directive to cancel. No apologies, excuses or explanations were ever given!
