This is my 2nd time using this company this year. As before, Peter returned my call in a day or so. We met. he gave me an estimate which I accepted. Since the job was outside, I did not have to be there. The job was completed in less than 2 weeks, and the clean up

was very good. I am very very satified.

Peter Fedorchuk, the owner, and a few workers did all the work. There were NO subcontractors. The job lasted 3 weeks as we had some rain in between. He stayed in contact with me even though I live in Florida. I was in Cleveland for about 2 weeks of the time. The porch was rebuilt to look exactly like the original. He even saved the firebrick from the hearth at our request and reused it to rebuild the hearth. The original porch was built in 1952 and its foundation was supporting the roof even though it had no real foundation under it! Through many tough winters and my father wasting money on other companies expensive and useless schemes to drill holes and pour concrete under it, it was on the verge of collapse.
The new foundation was built with concrete block down to 40" with rebar and concrete filler. The brick fascia matched the old brick of the surrounding walls. The concrete slab floor was supported with piers, gravel fill and rebar. this will not fail!
We asked for additional work to be done (water proofing the west and south walls in addition to the original contract to waterproof the east and south half wall and some other small things that came up as he progressed through the job. All his suggestions were reasonable and the price given were very good. He was never pushy or giving us the "doomsday is coming" sales pitch. Usually when you hear " Houston we have a problem" you cringe and wait for the knife in the back. Not true with Peter. He is an honest tradesman who takes great pride in his work and his reputation
His masonry work is truly "old school' or "Old World' as he prefers. It is excellent! I would call on him in a heartbeat to perform any masonry or foundation work.

Peter responded to my call, came out to see the problem, and we agreed on a price .
A few days later he came,repaired part of the foundation that had been the problem and cleaned up very well.

This company was wonderful! They told us everything they would do, the total cost, showed up on time, did the work very promptly, professionally, and beautifully! It was the best investment we've made in a long time. I have severely arthritic knees. We had only three steps in the back leading up to our back door threshold. We now have seven steps, each one only 4 inches higher than the one below. We had iron railings added to the sides. Now I can come and go easily and feel superbly happy with the freedom this good company has given me.

We are very pleased with the quality and professionalism of the job that Old World Masonry did on our porch. I contacted the company through their website and heard back the next day. They came out and inspected the job and e-mailed a quote. They called ahead to see it if was convienent to start the work. Once the stone slabs were off the porch we discovered that there was more to the job. Previous work on the porch looked to have been a temporary fix to level the stones as evidenced by dirt instead of mortar. On the recommendation of Old World Masonry, a new concrete base was put down and then new sandstone. It took an additional day to the complete the work because of the new concrete base, but it looks wonderful. I will definitely use them again for any future masonry projects.

He is very easy to work with. He comes out and gives a free estimate and discusses with you what needs to be done.

Everything went wonderfully. Peter has always been prompt and honest, and he sticks to his estimates.
