Great! They removed the old tank and installed new hot/cold valves. I had them return a few weeks later after I tiled the floor to install a new Rheem Pro hot water tank. Very nice job. I have used them many times over the years and they always do excellent work.

I have done business with Mike for a few years and was recommended to me by a family member. I always shop around for the properties I am responsible for and Mike's bids a always on the lower side of his competition. This and knowing his work history, and getting to meet him and Chris have prompted me to right this review. My properties I'm responsible for are located on east and west sides, and Mike has serviced both. I've enjoyed this business relationship & Mike is a straight shooter and a hard worker. Fantastic service!  Our air conditioner was working and cooling the house, however, the outside fan would not stop running. We had to turn the unit off at the breaker in order for it to stop.  I called Mike on the morning of 6/17 and fully expected it to take a day or two for someone to come out since our area was experiencing the first real heat wave of the summer. I was pleased when he said that he would be able to fit me in after I got home from work that same day. In the past, we had used the company and dealt with his son, and received honest, efficient, and great service and Mike was no different.  He arrived shortly after 4 and had the problem diagnosed and fixed within 30 minutes. I highly recommend Independence Heating and Cooling and feel that we received quality service for a fair price.

Awesome. unbelievably they came over within 10 minutes. fixed up and gone in about an hour. couldn't ask for a better resolution.

They worked me into their schedule between other calls and were able to return my furnace to operating condition.

He comes out whenever we need him and is very reliable. He is prompt and really takes care of his customers.

All went very well. He is quite a friendly individual and is well-acquainted with the needs of homeowners in this area.

I have used this company three times. I asked him to check the heating and cooling system when I first moved in five  years ago. I also asked to sign up for a maintenance contract. He said instead of a maintenance contract to just call him every two or three years to check the system - therrby saving the maintenance charge. About six months later, during the "100 year rain" in June, there was enough water in the basement to short out the electrical board in the furnace. He responded to my call promptly, went out of his way to check the warrenty (he had not installed the furnace) and worked to get the board replaced under warrenty. (There was a question about whether it would be covered.)  the work was done well and I had no problems with the furnace.
   In December of 2010, the battery in my thermostat went out (but I did not know that until later) and I called him late on a Sunday night because I had no heat. He answered my call within a half an hour. It turned out he was onthe Polar Express train with his grandchildren. He correctly identified the problem on the phone and t ried to instruct me on how to get the battery out.  Bercause I was timid and afraid I was breaking something, I could not get the battery out.  I called him back onthe train and he said he woudl be out that night if he got home before midnight or else first thing next morning.  I finally got the battery out that night and let him know. (He did not even charge for teh phone tutorial.)
I highly recommend him.

THEY INITIALLY GAVE ESTIMATE AND ASKED QUESTIONS. THEY WERE VERY INFORMATIVE AS FAR AS GIVING GOOD ADVICE ON SAVING MONEY, THEY CLEANED UP THE MESS THAT THE LAST AIR DUCT CLEANER LEFT. THEY TOLD US THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT FURNACES AS WELL AS THE DIFFERENT WARRANTIES. VERY HONEST AND UP FRONT. THEY WERE ALSO ON TIME
