Technician Jim and his associate Matt were fantastic. They came quickly as an emergency call. Jim diagnosed the problem right away (our chimney had a very unusual entry point) and jury-rigged a cover to prevent any new critters from entering. They were both very thorough, professional, and easy to work with. And I thought the price was fair considering it was an emergency during holidays.

My 20 year old son was at home for the call. They came and checked the chimney. no animals present. Service man didn't have a tall enough ladder to replace chimney cap. That would be another charge. Well tonight we found 2 raccoons in the chimney due to the fact the cap not being replaced.
Response from CRITTER CONTROL OF CLEVELAND
"We performed an inspection on 7/31/17 and our technician did not see the raccoons in the chimney at that time. Our technicians carry a 28' ladder on the truck and the customer's chimney required a taller ladder. The technician did inform the customer that we can install a chimney screen on another day. The technician was told that they would call us if they wanted a screen installed. The office followed up with the customer on 8/26/17 to see if she was interested in the chimney screen and the office was told no. We would be more than happy to do a follow up to set traps to catch the raccoons at a per animal charge and once they are removed install a chimney screen at the appropriate cost."

It went okay. It was very good. It's excellent. What makes them so great is their quick response. I call them in the morning and they would be back out here in an hour or two to pick up the animal that was in there and I would call them every morning and say there's nothing in the cage right now and there is something in the cage and they put food in there. The mere fact that so many barn animals got caught, 8 I believe, that's a very good sign that everything, the food they put in there, the tempting was good. The price is okay too.

I had a problem with moles in an 80' x 15' mulched area in the middle of my backyard. During my initial phone contact it was explained that they would places traps where appropriate, that the traps would be checked every other day for 1 week and the cost would be $250. I agreed and their rep (I believe she was the manager) arrived on time and went right to work inspecting the area, identifying the active tunnels and setting a total of 13 traps. She mentioned that usually there's only one mole, which was quite a surprise to me given how many tunnels there were, but she was pretty optimistic that the traps would do the job. I wasn't home when they made their first follow-up visit but I found out later that one mole had been trapped and was removed. I was home for the 2nd visit -- all 13 traps were checked but all were empty -- and the final visit, where a 2nd mole had paid the price and was removed along with all of the traps. Later that day I drove back and forth over the entire area with my John Deere garden tractor to flatten all of the tunnels so that I'd be able to spot any new tunnels or mounds. I have seen a mound and a tunnel or two in the last 3 weeks but it's possible the tunnels were ones that I missed / didn't flatten and maybe the mound was one last mole who dug his way out to seek greener pastures. In any event, Critter Control did exactly what they said they'd do, they reduced my mole population by 2, and I would definitely use them again if the need arises.

"Traps were set in the attic on 2/16/13. There was no evidence of raccoons in the attic. There was evidence of mice in the attic. On 2/22/13 the traps were removed, all the peanut butter in the trap was eatten by the mice. Mouse poison placed in the attic , at no additional cost. I also secured some loose siding in the area of the client was hearing the noises and secured a hanging gutter, this service was also provided to the client at no additional cost. It was suggested that a chimney screen be installed to prevent possible animal enrty. The client was instucted to give the mouse poison 14 days to work. And then if she still had activity to call , and we would be more than happy to reset the traps on her deck at the suspected climb piont. When we made a follow up call in March, the client stated she had no more activity. I do believe we went above and beyond to help the client out. And if the client would have called us back she would have been taken care of."

They were prompt and they quickly came to haul it away and they didn't keep it caged up all day. They expect the household to bait the trap.

I had to have 5 different companies come out and this company was able to diagnose the problem. Mark did a really good job. He takes his time and he has a very good eye for problem areas in your home. I am glad they figured out the problem.
I kept calling them in a number of times in May, June, and July, but they never called me back. I eventually needed to. They do not follow through
The other person concluded they were birds and not rodents.

He didn't do anything. The technician told us there might be an animal in our chimney, but didn't try to catch anything. He tracked mud everywhere too! The animal ended up leaving on its own. It wasn't a very good experience.
Response from CRITTER CONTROL OF CLEVELAND
"The customer called us for an animal in the chimney. The service tech determined the animal was not presently in the chimney. It was suggested that we install chimney screen to keep the animal(s) out. The customer did not wish to have us install a chimney screen. And as always we give our clients a 10 warrenty. We charged for an inspection only. I only wish she would have contacted me about the mud. The service personal are to make all resonible effort not to track dirt into the house. But, occasionally it will happen."

I found them on Angie's List. The people were fine. The problem is they ended up putting poison which I didn't really want to do. They didn't catch anything in the traps. It was for mice so they ended up putting poison. They were good. I thought it was a little pricey for putting the poison. It was $183 for putting poison for mice and then they put traps, but they never caught anything and they just told me that I would have to patch. There was some hole, but they never patched them and I had to patch them myself. I thought it was too expensive for what they did. They were pretty responsive. I would not use them again in the future.

They set up some traps, but didn't come back to check them. The guy came out two hours late, as well. They charged me less because he came late, but they never came back.
Response from CRITTER CONTROL OF CLEVELAND
"We looked this account up by both address and by name. We were unable to locate any service records. When we set traps we are in contact with our cousters on a daily bases for a report to see if the traps are empty or if anything was captured. At the end of the trapping session we remove our traps."

They are just a regular company. They are very professional. We had a lot of raccoons coming to our house. They only took the raccoons away, and didn’t make any good suggestions to keep them from coming back.
Response from CRITTER CONTROL OF CLEVELAND
"The repairs need to keep the raccoons out of Member attic were to extensive for us to repair. It was suggested she call "The House Doctors" to replace her soffits."

I heard noises in my chimney one evening, a lot of movement and scratching. I called Critter Control to check it out. The Service Representative arrived on time, inspected the chimney and also poured in professional strength pepper granules. He believes it was a squirrel from what he saw. He also informed me that he would not be able to re-install the chimney cap due to the deterioration of my chimney flue/tile. He suggested I call for Chimney Repair service and get the flue pipe/tile repaired as soon as possible.

They came and caught the groundhog within a day. They put a trap up in the morning and at four o'clock in the afternoon, we noticed that it was caught. I also had them put up some wire-mesh screening around the deck and air conditioner so that it would prevent the animals from getting in again. I am just in shock still thinking about how good of a job they did.

I was not totally pleased with the follow-up. I still heard the noises after they left, but the squirrels finally left. They identified where the squirrels were coming in and told me it would be an extra charge to fill the hole and I was better off to call a handyman to do it.
Response from CRITTER CONTROL OF CLEVELAND
"Our priceing for service is broken down as follows. 1. Service Call 2. Price per animal 3. Price for repairs ( we can do minor repairs nothing major). Any repairs we do are guaranteed for 1 year against animal entry at the repair point. If the entry point is not sealed when our traps are removed there is always the possiblity another animal will move in. Our records show we did work for member in June of 2007 not in July of 2008. When we do remove our traps we tell our client they have a 10 day warrenty to call us back if they continue to hear something."
