Next Step Flooring

It was perfect! Dave should teach classes in how to run a business! He and the installers are courteous, friendly and professional. They arrive on time, do their work, without stopping for breaks, and they clean up after themselves. They are very aware that they are working in 'homes' not just houses. I would never consider hiring anyone else. Dave even brought presents, after the work was done. Every company should perform this well!!!!!

Dave exceeded my expectations on every level! He brought the samples to my home and was punctual. The installers were great, well mannered and efficient. They cleaned up after working. I highly recommend this company. They go above and beyond to make certain the job is done correctly and that you are satisfied. Just wish I had done it sooner! I love it and will use this company to redo my entire upstairs!

Dave and his crew are top notch professionals. I had them do carpet and tile in the basement and it looks great. They were on time and very friendly. We discussed what I was looking for and Dave came back with some excellent options. The job took 2-3 days and they were very polite and easy to work with. They moved all my furniture and put it all back in the right spot! I liked the basement so much I purchased carpet for my living room and they were able to come back the next day and do it. It is a pleasure to find a company that does what they say they're going to do! I want to get laminate flooring in my kitchen and look forward to having Next Step Flooring back.

Since then, we’ve decided to use Next Step Flooring exclusively for flooring on ALL of our projects. Being in the construction industry, I know firsthand what’s out there and what you get for your money. They are not the cheapest, but you definitely get what you pay for. The days of being over budget, missed deadlines and upset clients are over!!! It is so nice being able to recommend a trustworthy company and NEVER HAVE TO WORRY about what is going on or if work is getting done. I purchased carpeting for 3 bedrooms, hallway, living room, and dining room (over $5200). When I first met D. Mallardi, he was very helpful and professional. I explained I wanted the carpeting to be the same in all areas, but I couldn't afford to install all areas at once. I asked him if this would be a problem, and he said it wouldn't. I had the 3 bedrooms installed in May 2012. I asked at that time if I should have the hallway done at the same time, and Dave said no---it wouldn't be a problem. During installation,I was asked by Mr. Millardi if the installer could put one bedroom carpet in a different direction to avoid a seam. I asked if that would be a problem when the other carpet was installed and was told and quot;noand quot; by both Mr. Millardi and the installer. The bedrooms looked good when they were completed. When I called to have the remainder of the carpeting installed (in July 2012), I was then told that there could be a difference in color because the areas weren't installed at the same time. I reminded Mr. Millardi that I had specifically asked if different installation times would be a problem, and he had told me and quot;no.and quot; He said he would take responsibility for that decision----but didn't say how. After installation was completed, there were several obvious spaces between the seams of the bedroom carpets and the hallway carpet. There was also a noticable color difference. After phone calls to Mr. Millardi, I agreed to allow the installer to attempt to correct the problems (twice). When that didn't help, Mr. Milalrdi had another installer come to attempt to correct the problems. He did make improvements in the spaces between the carpets. While he was working, he asked me if the carpeting was the same in the bedrooms and the hallway. I said and quot;yesand quot; and asked why he asked me that question. He said it was because the colors were different. When Mr. Millardi arrived, he and the installer told me to wait a few weeks to see if the seams worked themselves together, which I did. I contacted Mr. Millardi by letter on August 18 expressing my disappointment with the installation---listing the problems with the color difference and the seams in the upstairs areas. I explained that I am hoping to retire in a few years and was in the process of completing some and quot;bigand quot; jobs before I retired and that I was very unhappy with the installation in the upstairs area. I received no response to this letter. I waited until Sept. 10 to write requesting the problems be corrected----and to have the bedrooms and hallway replaced. I asked him to contact me as soon as possible. I received no response to this letter. I waited until October 1 to send another letter asking for a refund of the total amount ($5279.69), so I could have someone else redo the entire area. I have not received a response to this letter as of 10/15/12.

They were friendly and prompt. They were very accommodating. The service was quick. I will absolutely use them again in the future.

We are very happy with our new carpet. The owner offered us many choices of carpet/colors to choose from, so we purchased exactly what we wanted. Price is definitely competitive. Service was professional and timely, and we were very happy with the installation and clean-up. We plan to hire Next Step to replace our bathroom floors.
