Jimmy's Lawn Care

Committed to clearing back yard of cypress tree debris on Tuesday or Wednesday November 23 or November 24th. I was very clear that this was a two day window job and I desperately needed to have the lawn cleared prior to Thanksgiving. I was told no problem and that they would have a crew come out on Tuesday or Wednesday but that it would probably be on Wednesday. When I had not seen or heard from them by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday the 24th I called. Got answering machine and asked when they would be there. Received a call back over an hour later. Kids yelling in background and Jimmy told me they would not be there but he could get to me in a week or so. I told him no thanks and said I was very upset at which point he hung up on me. Very unprofessional. They gave me no chance to get someone else to do the the job. They should have known from the get go whether or not they could or couldn't do this job. Jimmy cited weather as one of his various excuses. As I was talking to him on the phone, my neighbor walked to his mailbox in shorts and sandals so weather wasn't the problem. The hanging up was very unprofessional of him, as well as committing and reneging on the job. I only contacted him in the first place because his business card that he left while soliciting business said he was endorsed by Angie's list. I would not keep him on on the list if I had anything to do with running your recommended businesses.

He is a young guy trying to make a go of his business. He was here when he said he would be. The mower he uses didn't go through my gate, but he found another mower to get the job done. My yard looks great. I'm going to ask him for some leaf removal this fall and he may help with snow removal if I can get this busy guy to slow down. His fee is reasonable too.
