They knew they had to be here by 8 each day so my wife to let them in and get to work on time but was 35 minutes late the 1st day and 10-15 minutes late each subsequent day. The drywall patch work is not smooth or blended in well and you can easily see where the work was done. Painting was even worse. Wall to ceiling lines were totally messy and nowhere near straight. Had visible roller marks all over the walls, numerous spots were you can see through to the color they painted over and there is drywall dust embedded in the paint. They obviously sanded the drywall repair on the ceiling while the walls were still tacky. They painted a dark basement stairway with no extra lighting. Needless to say it doesn't look good. Had them out twice to correct the issues and the wall to ceilings lines are much better, but they never managed to fix the rest. I finally gave up Will never use again or recommend to anyone.

Awesome. Mark and his team came in and successfully did all if the repairs. Which included touch up painting, small repairs, and other things!

hit and miss on calls and scheduling was tight but came out on a weekend to get the job done. No hidden costs and time to install was exactly as estimated. His uncle was a delight.

Mark got back to me immediately when called. He was on time for the appointment. The "flange?" was rusted, so it took longer than originally anticipated, but he charged the same price he pre-quoted (labor only - I purchased toilet).

They removed the old floor and put in the new floor in a day and 1/2. They did an excellent job at a reasonable price

Mark was very responsive all the way to the end. They finished the project in two days, which I thought was very quick. But, their fast work didn't substitute quality. Everything was well done to my satisfaction, even making sure that I inspected it at the end. Overall, I'd definitely hire him and his crew again.

Called contractor to come back and re-do area on bathroom wall that after they painted the

skimcoat did not blend in with exiting plaster and stuck out like a sore thumb. After first responding that  wasn't his work, the customer is always wrong, he came back to correct issue. Also most of the chalking had to be redone. I wish I could post pictures. When they painted the bathroom they didn't even take the register off the wall and u could c the old paint there. Had them take off and paint that area. Bathroom really needed a second coat of paint so I had to put another coat of paint on walls to make a ok paint job a nice paint job. Ok contractor if u don't care about detail. The extra 20 min it takes to make an ok job really nice.

Excellent service, very prompt and professional, very high quality repair

Mr. Makis checked out a water leak in the ceiling in the  basement bathroom shower, and found it was actually coming from the upstairs bathtub. The crawlspace for the bathtub plumbing was located in a small linen closet, and was not easily accessible, but he ended up finding several leaks and repairing them with new parts, which he had on his truck.  Even though the area was hard to get to he went ahead and found and repaired the problem -  when he was done he ran water in the bathtub and rechecked everything.  He explained everything,told me what needed done to fix it and advised on other needed household repairs.  I was not looking forward to finding a place to come in and do this repair, but after finding his name on Angie's List I thought great reviews why not give him a call, and I'm really glad I did.  Good response time and fair amount charged on this challenging job.

Would I call him again DEFINITELY!  It is so reassuring knowing I have someone to call when I have something I can't do.

I can tell he did an excellent job on my steps.  He was a hard worker and doesnt mess around.  He didnt even take a break.  He did such a great job that I am having him come back out tomorrow to paint my walls, ceiling, window frames, and install another hand rail for my stairs.  He is also going to install a storm door for my front doorway. 

He is an excellent guy and picked a great door.  It seems to be a family operation that works well together in teams. 

It went well. Arrived at time he said he would and completed job in the time frame he estimated it would take. Also cleaned up after finishing work.

Mark and his crew were amazing. They were friendly, thorough and professional. I own a very old home, and this was not an easy job. I feel that I paid a fair price. They had it done on day two- ahead of schedule. I have already asked Makis Home Improvement to return to rebuild my basement stairs. I will stick with Makis for all of my home improvement needs-of which I have many! I am a very satisfied customer. I could not have asked for more.

It went well he ran into a problem that took him one extra day. It turned out good

Mark returned my call the same day I left a message. He was very friendly and helpful. They showed up on time and finished in a timely manor. He went out of his way to make sure my faucet was working before he left. We have other plumbing issues and will call Mark to do the work.
