"We had not completed the small project for this customer on 8/1/2017. We did remove a drop ceiling in the kitchen, replaced lighting, and painted the ceiling and walls. WE ALSO re-wired the kitchen lights and repaired drywall, and re-textured your ceiling for about $1,000.00 worth of labor and material NOT CHARGED to you as we did not want your lights hanging down the way they were after removing the drop ceiling. As far as the painting is concerned. The evidence of the prior (3 years ago) of your painting the walls and trim was very sloppy. We did not leave any paint splatter anywhere from us. It was prior paint splatters. The switch plates were not made available to us on 8/1/2017. But when we came back on 8/2/2017 they were there. We readily put them on for the customer. The job took 3 days to complete due to the drywall re-texturing that needs to dry between coats. Remember, this was not charged nor contracted for. It was done for the customer as we do not feel it was professional to leave lights hanging down from the ceiling removal."
