BARRONS LAWN SERVICE LLC

We had lots of weeds that Barron’s Lawn Service/Weed Man/US Lawn in Toledo, OH had not eliminated so they applied a different weed killer July, 2020 and it killed everything including the grass and they admitted it. Our lawn is in worse shape than before they started and it stayed dead all winter. They threw a little seed on top of all the dead grass and would not do anything else to correct their mistake. We raked up the dead grass, broadcast seed, fertilizer, watered and still no grass so we added top soil, broadcast more seed and fertilizer, watered again, then got some growth. All of this was out of pocket cost to me caused by their lawn treatments. We’ve been with them 14 years and this is the poor treatment they chose to provide so we terminated them.

In addition to taking 3 weeks and several contacts to get the job finished we were very disappointed in the quality of plants provided. The Lowe's on Central Ave provided better quality plants. Further we were disgusted that the workers came onto our property to final finish the work and completely ignored me. They didn't acknowledge hello,

When I got home I checked the lawn and could see no sign of any service work, they did do some edging by the street. After several calls I found out that they ran the mower with the blade set at 3 and 1/2 inches --that would be at least 3 inches above any grass. The mower was not set low enough to pick up any yard debris, they might as well have spent time pretending to shovel snow on my driveway. When I called Barron's I expected them to reduce their charges to reflect the minimal service they performed, but was told that I should have canceled their trip the night before. The owner said that he was 100% right and it was reasonable for his people to mow a lawn before the grass started growing. I made very sure that he understood that we were canceling his service.
This was my first and last experience with them. Several people on my street have their lawns mowed by different providers, the other services waited until the grass started growing --before they showed up. I guess Barron's lawn service needed the money.

We had no complaints about any of the lawn/leaf/clean-up services provided.  The crews did a pretty good job.  Had to point out a section of lawn that they seemed to think was not ours whenever a different crew mowed, but this wasn't a  major problem.  The snow removal was timely and efficient, but they kept dumping the snow on neighbors' lawns.  We asked them not to, but they kept it up.  Eventually, there was an accounting error where they insisted we had not paid when we had.  We challenged their assertion, but paid the amount they said we owed until the snafu could be sorted out.  We then provided canceled checks and detail of work done to bolster our claim of payment made.  They would have none of it and insisted we were trying to stiff them.  I worked with their accountant and found out what had happened to our 'missing' payments.  She took the information to the owner, but apparently he refused to believe the black and white proof in front of his eyes.   They would send me past due notices now and then ... and even had their sales force try to get me back as a customer!  I told them I'd consider it if they'd pay me what they owed me.  I send them a few invoices for the $300+ we had overpaid, to no avail.  It was a costly mistake to make the payment we did not owe, but lesson learned.  While the work performed was more than satisfactory, I would never use their service again because of their accounting practices. 

They were on time and they were also professional. They did a great job.

As a lawn service they were OK, but when my house sideboard was damaged I got a look at the real Barron's. First time, the damage was repaired after a lengthy delay. Second time no luck, no calls were returned & my sideboard remains broken.

We called Barron's two years ago and had them quote our lawn. The price seemed reasonable so we had them start mowing. They have been a very professional outfit the entire two years. I recommended them to my boss and he has also been using them for two years. Give them a try, you can't go wrong.
