Animal Training Service
Scott is NE Ohio's dog whisperer. He not only works with correcting dog behavior but also the human behavior. We have three large dogs that we were unable to walk without getting pulled over. After a lot of work and Scott's help we are now complimented on how well behaved our dogs are. We used Versatile Canine a few years ago, but now that I am a member of a Angie's List I wanted to take the time to share my experience.

Our dog had leash anxiety. Scott identified the issue and provided guidance to correct the issue. My wife and I were amazed how Scott can explain the behavior of our dog. We are very happy with the results.

Our dog has a new lease on life and so do we. We have the knowledge and tools to deal with our dog who has responded amazingly to Scott's rehabilitation. Scott taught us so much. He totally knows a dog's pysche... Now people can come over, we can take him for walks and runs, he can ride in a car, eat his food without gobbling it, get along with other dogs... it is just amazing considering the state our dog was in. He is still what I call "a special needs dog" because we always need to practice what we learned with him but the transformation is unbelievable. Everyone who knew our dog before when he acted like Cujo can't believe the change.

I used Scott's behavioral services when I adopted the two rescue dogs given their prior tough luck experiences. Due to my divorce, I needed to kennel the Chessies with a facility that would provide a fair amount of interactive exercise to replicate my structured environment for the dogs. The facilities are times nicer than my own house! Scott provides a large amount of socialization activities so the Chessies don't adopt unwanted behaviors during their boarding period. During my absence, Scott provided periodic updates on the Chessies' progress so I could worry less about the separation effects. When I returned to retriever them - the Chessies showed no ill effects for the week long stay. Since the first boarding, I have engaged Scott's services several times for other business trips.

Scott started us out with the basics on dog behavior after he observed our dogs' situation (e.g., fear-aggression). He showed us the foundational elements to improve our behavior and body language which feeds into our dogs' issues. We learned the techniques on leash controls to drive healthy change into the daily routine that we took for mere bathroom relief. We observed how best to lead the pack take charge before there were problems. My wife worked on her positioning to become more assertive which provides security for the pack. We transitioned into our home to see how we can control the pack when people stop by unexpectedly. In the past, we usually looked to lock the dogs into another room just to answer our door. Finally, we transformed the eat routine into another learning experience so we can manage controlled feeding for three dogs without incident. In about a week's time, we expect our dogs can be taken almost anywhere while being under control, polite and attentive to us! Clearly - a life change for all.
