Jon Nave Excavating

In order to do some remodeling of my old farmhouse, it was necessary to replace my antiquated septic tank.  Our county has some arcane rules and a VERY rigid septic inspector.  The inspector is so difficult that many excavators no longer will do this kind of work in our county.

I contacted the Jon Nave Excavating Company and they agreed to give me an estimate.  Mrs. Nave was there the next morning and fulfilled this promise.  We were met with some setbacks due to extremely wet weather but Mrs. Nave stayed in touch so that I never worried about getting the job done.  From time to time they would pop in and check the ground to see if they could begin the job.

On August 12 Mrs. nave called and said they were coming.  She had timed the  arrangements for all subcontractors to arrive and make the job flow.

The Naves are a husband and wife team.  They are a team that would make a professional sports team green with envy.  They work together like an analog clock mechanism.  It was a joy to watch them work.  They were so cautious that Mr. Nave stopped for the rescue of a displaced frog.  They were so precise that they were able to save a volunteer pumpkin that was within inches of the work site.

They worked diligently all day and my drainage was only compromised for a few minutes while they connected to the new system.

The next morning they were here early for the dreaded inspector to approve the job.  They knew every code,rule, and bylaw better than they inspector. The job was approved in short order.  

They carefully back filled the  area,cleaned up and restored all surfaced.  They brought the job in for less than the estimate.
