Zelaya's Lawn Care

I've used Zelaya's Lawn Care for nearly 8 years for grass cutting, fall cleanup, spring cleanup, and most of my mulching (whatever I don't do myself). He's communicative, timely, and they get the work done completely; even once worked under spotlights and car lights to get work completed before leaving.

Zelaya has been great.  I have used them for the past 10 to 15 years.  They last plowed my drive on 1-26-15.

Excellent work done on my perennial beds. I also use them for lawn mowing and am very pleased.

Those guys are out there and are very punctual. We started using them because we saw them at some of our neighbors and said we wish our guys would show up and get the job done because we had a younger guy that we liked personally but he would be a no show and we wouldn't know where he was. Our grass was getting long and my husband would go out and do it himself. He is late getting home from work which is why we hired someone to do it so it would be less that he had to do. This other company was doing the people across the street and we wanted to switch to them because they were so reliable, on time, they did such and amazing job. It has been a good switch.

They are very good and do a good job. They have a hard working crew and they appear attention to detail. I would rate them high overall. I would use them again in the future.

I didn't use them, but they were prompt, courteous and gave us an estimate right away. I will have them quote again in the future.

Everything went fine with them. We would probably continue to use them if we needed it.

Julio came out to quote mowing/trimming and mulching. He was very nice, friendly and professional. He quoted lawn services (mowing and trimming) at $25 which was very reasonable. He quoted mulching, planting grass seed, trimming bushes and spring clean up at $700 including the mulch which was not bad compared to other quotes. I asked him to mow and I would get back to him about the mulching. They came when expected and did a nice job. They missed some trimming and mowing in the back yard that was outside of a garden fence but they may not have known it was on our property. I called him back and asked them to mow the next week and instructed him about the missed mowing and trimming. I also asked if he could quote the mulching work at a lower price without the bush trimming/grass seed planting and spring clean up. He said he would think about what it would cost and that they would mow again at the end of the week. We returned on Sunday and the yard had not been mowed. I left several messages throughout the week and he did not return one call. He basically disappeared on me and I don't know why. Strange!

They never contacted me back. I've called them at least 3 times and I am still waiting.

You get what you pay for...Zelaya's has good prices. Your yard will get mowed, but don't expect it to look manicured. I have noticed more than once that they might miss a small area, or forget to trim somewhere. Usually I overlook it because as I said..the price is right. I have called twice about problems. I did not get a return call, however, the problem was fixed at their next visit a week later.

They are very cheap and I really enjoyed using them. They did very good work. I quit using them because even after I asked they kept leaving my gate open and my dog would get out. There was a little language barrier as well.

They are dependable. I never have to call them, they just come and do it for me. They clean up when they are finished. The price is reasonable for the quality of service.

Julio is great to work with. He returns calls and sees that work is done as agreed to.

Price is an average visit.

Julio has been quick to respond to our requests and needs. The price seemed very reasonable, and the crew is professional and works very fast. We appreciate the fact they only mow when necessary, every 10 days or so. I think this is an honest and efficient operation.

THEY HAVE ALSO RE-SEEDED MY LAWN AND GRADED IT. WHEN HE DID THAT IT WAS INFERIOR DIRT AND THE WRONG SEED. IT IS A SHADED AREA AND I HAVE RECEIVED OTHER OPINIONS THAT SAY IT WAS THE WRONG SEED. I CALLED HIM AND HE SAID HE WOULD COME AND LOOK AT IT. HE DID COME BUT DID NOT TAKE CARE OF IT. I HAVE SENT HIM 3 LETTERS AND CALLED HIM NUMEROUS TIMES AND HE HAS NEVER TAKEN CARE OF THE PROBLEM. HE MOWS OUR GRASS AND HAS CHARGED FOR TIMES THAT HE WAS NOT THERE. I CAN TELL BECAUSE SOME OF THE LEAVES IN CERTAIN AREAS ARE UNDISTURBED.

JULIO IS VERY COURTEOUS AND RESPONSIVE. HAVE BEEN USING THIS COMPANY FOR YEARS. LANDSCAPING ALWAYS LOOKS GREAT WHEN THEY ARE DONE. REASONABLE PRICE.

A NEIGHBOR RECOMMENDED THEM, AND THEY ARE GREAT. THEY COME AS OFTEN AS NEEDED, DEPENDING ON THE WEATHER, AND DON`T DISTURB US. THEIR BILLS ARRIVE PROMPTLY AND ARE DETAILED. THEY ARE A HISPANIC OWNED AND OPERATED COMPANY AND WE LIKE TO SUPPORT HISPANIC COMPANIES (WE ARE FROM CALIFORNIA ORIGINALLY).

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

VERY GOOD WORK AT REASONABLE RATES. THEY WORK QUICKLY AND ARE FLEXIBLE. THE PLANTING THEY DID FOR US WAS DONE WELL ALTHOUGH SOME OF THE PLANTS COULD HAVE BEEN PLACED DEEPER.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB.
