It was great. They were great, friendly people to deal with. They understood the problems and what to do about them right away. They were reliable and punctual. The problems have been remedied to our satisfaction.

After getting several quotes, it became obvious to me that the folks at WeGetTheMoldOut had a much better understanding of my situation than their competitors. They came up with a plan to fix the problem that didn't break the bank, while ensuring that the problem didn't come back. Once the work began, they showed up on time, and went to town. They completed the job on time, and actually did some extra work that was not included in their scope of work. They were professional, courteous, and made a bad situation bearable. If you are a home owner with this problem, this is the company to use.

Chris came out to inspect our attic issues the day after we called. He inspected the attic and discussed our options. Although attic issues had been dealt with in the past, it appeared that a regrowth may have occurred. Instead of spending hundreds of dollars in testing, we opted to have the area treated and any issues resolved. Chris' crew came out as scheduled a few weeks later, setup containment, removed baffles, HEPA vacuum to control spore contamination, applied antifungal cleaning product, applied white antifungal coating, and resecured the baffles. Suggested a roofing contractor verify proper balance of attic ventilation to prevent future problems. Punctual, thorough, knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend to others.

I highly recommend WeGetTheMoldOut. They are the only people I would use for a water problem. Tom Flood is an expert in this field. His crew members are courteous, do their job using the industry guidelines and clean up after themselves. This company came in and were able to correct the mistakes of the company we had start the job. Using negative air flow, personal protective equipment and the scrubber fans properly during the entire job makes a difference for allergy sufferers like me.

I cannot say enough positive things about Chris and his company.  He's knowledgeable and thorough.  He's been most accommodating to my requests for his assistance on my time schedule.  Although the price for our attic sounds high, the cost of this type of work is always somewhat expensive and we believe that the price we received was very fair for the work done.  Again, I would definitely recommend WeGetTheMoldOut to anyone with similar needs.

They were very nice about it. They came out and did it without any problem. I am very satisfied with them. They are very responsive. They came out pretty quickly and they took care of the problem. They did it and moved on. The last time I used them it didn't cost anything because they were coming back to do something that they missed the year before. There was no charge.

The appraiser for the home we're buying noted a very small patch of mold around sump in basement which prompted the bank to require a documented mold inspection of the basement. I e-mailed the guys We Get The Mold Out after business hours on Friday. They e-mailed me back a couple times over the weekend and ended up meeting me at lunch to perform a mold inspection. Very professional and thorough, went out of their way to help me out on short notice.

We never received certificate regarding work performed, warranty. They had to come back a few times to do touch up. Three months after they serviced the duct work, I went to change the air filter to which I struggled to pull out because of the amount of debris they left there and missed cleaning up. They did come back to clean that up and reclean parts of the duct work?? There was also a large amount of dust left in an area on the basement floor they did not clean up.

The work was performed on schedule and for the cost quoted. The cost was a bit on the high side. Despite about 5 requests I could not obtain a receipt so that I would have proof of the work that was done, especially needed if/when we resell the house. I asked many times and received no response and no receipt. I even specifically mentioned that if I did not have a response or a receipt by a particular date, I was going to have to include this information in my review. Very disappointing.
Response from WeGetTheMoldOut.com
"1. Testing was not requested on first phone call. An inspection of mold was requested and a estimate to cleanup what was found was submitted. 2. A second trip was made to conduct testing. 3. The lab delayed test results; that is beyond our control. 4. While mold was not toxic; it was pervasive throughout the crawl space and with over 100 square feet of mold it should be cleaned (remediated) according to the EPA. This realtor was making a judgement for their client that the amount of mold in this home was not an issue for buyer. Be concerned if your realtor is making judgements as to what is safe for you. 5. It is our goal to provide a safe environment for our customers."

This was an absolutely terrible experience. Air Technology came recommended by two sources -- a home inspector and a realtor who work closely with our realtor. Our realtor called Air Tech and exlpained that we needed testing done for final approval for our mortgage. We were supposed to close the Tuesday the following week, and Tom said they'd be out to get a sample that week, and that we should have the results by Friday. On Thursday, our realtor received an estimate for about $1500 for remediation. Our realtor then contacted the company and asked for clarification since there were no lab results, just an estimate for remediation. She was told that they hadn't taken a sample, they didn't know they were supposed to. This was on Thursday. The realtor informed them that, yes, the lab results were ALL that we needed, we just needed to confirm that the mold was not toxic. They said they'd get a sample on Friday, rush the results, and that we should have the results on Monday or Tuesday morning. In the end, we didn't get the results in time and had to push back the closing. At one point Tom told my realtor that he has spoken to the lab, that he didn't have a report yet, but that it was non-toxic mold. He said he'd write up a letter on letterhead saying it was non-toxic and that official lab results were coming the following day, and send it by 5:00 Monday. We were hoping this would keep us from having to push back the closing. But Tom never sent it. When we finally had everything in order, my realtor told Tom that we had pushed back the closing and that she hoped he wasn't expecting payment. He actually hung up on her! We paid the invoice simply because I didn't think it was a battle worth fighting, but I will never use this company again! Even if the mold had been toxic and we'd had to have remediation, I would have found another company to do it.

"The lab took longer to process the sample. The lab works on its own timeline, and in this case took too long"

They did a very good job. They did forget to show up one time and apologized. They offered me options because of that. The first guy that came in did not have any extra equipment on for protection. Overall the job turned out fine and it looks like they did a thorough job.

My home inspector recomended Air Technology for the mold remediation in my attic. The owner, Tom Flood, doesn't seem to be too serious about his business. When I called to get a qoute and eventually to schedule the job he always asked me to call him back because he was going into a meeting. I found it a little insulting that he wanted me to take the initiative to give him the work. When Tom came to give me a qoute, at first, he didn't even want to get in the attic to see what needed to be done. He was content just looking at the home inspection report. When I questioned if he wanted to stand by a qoute without seeing what needed to be done he went up into the attic. On the day his crew was scheduled they showed up almost an hour late. They said they were not told of an arrival time but only that this was their first job. Once the crew got started, I finally sat down to eat breakfast when I hear someone from inside the house calling my name. It was Tom who showed up, entered my house and walked through half the lower level looking for me. I got up from breakfast to meet with him when he decided to take a business call in my kitchen making me wait. His main concern for stopping by seemed to be to collect payment. He then checked with his guys and left. A little later he sent me an email saying that they found some additional mold and said that they would treat it for an additional $195. I told him that's no good since he should have seen it when he gave me my qoute. His crew told him about the mold while he was here at my house, however, he didn't mention it face to face but instead sent the email. Remember, he didn't even want to look in the attic when giving the qoute. He did do the work at no charge. His crew was very nice and careful of my house. I believe that they did a good job. Their paint sprayer broke on them and they needed to get a new one. They ended up spending the whole day at my house to do a 1/2 day job but those things happen and they were very polite and informative. I later see that I got a charged $600 for a $595 qoute. I have repeatedly asked for a receipt and the Certificate of Completion that is to be issued per our contract but have not received either. It has been nearly two months since the work was completed. I'm tired of asking and will be calling my home inspector to tell him not to refer Air Technology to his future customers and will be disputing the charges with my credit card company until I receive closure. IN RESPONSE TO YOUR RESPONSE: Yes, Mr. Flood some people can be difficult to work with and you are one of them. I don't see how I mis-communicated. I asked for a price to take care of the mold problem in my attic and paid you to do so. Simple as that. Yes, the Certificate of Completion was emailed to me on January 26, 2010. It only took you 3 1/2 months to get it to me with persistent inquiry. Of course, I had to dispute your charges with my credit card company before you would send it. If you did over double the work area quoted, it was because you did a poor job with your initial quote. As a reminder, you didn't even want to look in the attic, until I persisted. Your initial quote was given 8-31-2009 and work was performed 10-12-2009. About 6 weeks apart, not 4 months. So now you can add liar to your character profile as well. The mold hadn't grown, you just didn't do a thorough job surveying the site when you gave the qoute. Once again, you could have addressed the additional mold while you were at my house, but instead chose to leave and send me an email asking for more money. Either way, I wouldn't have paid it. I'll bet getting you to honor your warranty is a real chore.

"Sometimes people can be difficult to work with. We both mis communicated. Certificate of Completion was given to home owner. We did over double the work area quoted because the mold had grown--we should have been better at communicating the change between quote and hired to do work four months later. Again, glad to make this home safer after we finished work."

We had a water leak in our bathroom that affected a part of our wall and the ceiling in the basement below. We thought we had dried everything adequately but started to see mold appear, which made us concerned about the health of our family. I contacted Tom to take a look and he was able to visit us on the same day. He thoroughly described what he saw and the proposed solutions to the problem, including low cost things that we could on our own to help the problem (running dehumidifiers, installing a ceiling fan, finding ways to circulate air better in our basement, etc.). He provided a rough estimate that day and within 24 hours he sent the full estimate. The work was scheduled in a week or so. The workers arrived on time and did a great job of fixing our problem. They left things in a clean and neat condition.

"Pleasure working with TIBBLES. We solved the problem and she has two years of knowing the area will be trouble free. Ducts and the furnace air handler should be cleaned every five years. This service is not part of the annual inspection the HVAC companies do that see the furnace is firing properly for the winter heating period"

AMAZING. I have nothing negative to say. Tom is exceptionally responsive both by phone and via email. He spent much more time at the job making it perfect. Tom is a very positive person and makes the process much less stressful (who likes mold,eh?) and makes you feel comfortable in your home after the work is completed. If you have any water issues or air quality issues I would only go to him. His crew are great to work with as well. He personally monitors the jobsite which was important to us.

My experience of working with them was fantastic. I had molds growing in my basement because of which I had breathing problems. I had checked out other companies as well. Air Technology seemed to have very satisfied customers and a good price. So, I contacted them one afternoon. They came out the very next day. They completed the work within two days. Now, I can breathe well and even turn the furnace on with out any dust or mold. Their price was very good. Their estimate was accurate. They were very professional. They were very nice and they knew exactly what they were doing. If they had any questions, they didn’t hesitate to ask me. They didn’t assume things. They even recommended the furnace to be cleaned every 3-5 years. I am extremely satisfied with them.

We were at the beginning of a bathroom remodeling project and when we completed the demolition of the existing bathroom we discovered that we had a lot of mold on our walls and floors. Air Technology promptly gave us an estimate, explained what they could/would do, and promptly scheduled and completed the work. They were very professional from start to finish.
