He did the plans and installation. It's was the whole nine years. Roger is an old guy and comes when he feels like it, but he has great plans. He is not very prompt, but the quality is worth it. He could come when he said he was going to.

We were disappointed because we felt that our preferences were not considered following two separate paid consultations for landscape design services. We first visited the nursery following our at-home consultation to review plans that were drawn up. Immediately afterwards, we walked around the nursery to indicate preferences/requirements for plantings and colors that would clearly require a re-working of the design. We returned two weeks later and were presented with the exact same plans/drawing with no modifications based on our preferences from the last visit and vague pricing. We clearly reiterated our need for changes but they didn't seem to be heard. We were taken aback by the fact that no real effort was made to improve upon the design over the course of the re-working period. It was far less of a collaboration than we had hoped for, and at this point we really feel like we were mislead in terms of getting individualized design services. We are back to square one and out $350.

Roger was delightful to work with. He came to look at our yard and talk about what would work best. We then went to his nursery to see the plants that he was suggesting. He took a lot of time with us reviewing the various options and care for our new planting. He and his crew came on the day scheduled and sculpted the back yard beds and an area in front where we had taken down a larger tree. They also planted everything that day and the next. Roger had a number of very original ideas for us and even used some of our old plantings which he moved so we could continue to use them without buying new. I highly recommend Seeley's Landscape Nursery; you will not be disappointed! We love sitting out in the back among all the beautiful new plants!

We purchased a tree in the fall of 2011 ? during their end of season sale. In the spring of 2012 we realized the tree trunk was damaged ? as opposed to those being natural flaws in the trunk as we thought when we purchased it.
I contacted the owner and discussed the situation, he told me repeatedly that he would stop by and look at the tree and ?make it good? when his 2012 seasonal tree stock arrived. Let's just say that we did not connect to resolve the situation for almost a year. We came to an agreement where he came and removed the tree and refunded the majority of my money in March 2013.

Seelys has been helping me with plant selection. They are wonderful to work with. They have quality products, a huge variety, and surprising depth of knowledge of their products. My home is looking great! With their suggestions I have stepped out of my comfort box of the norm and bought more uncommon plants and combinations that look wonderful! I cannot believe this is my yard.
Seelys is s pleasure to deal with. They add even more pleasure to digging in dirt!

We contacted them in mid-May of 2011 and received a design in June. We went to their facility a selected pavers to be used in the design. Mary did a very satisfactory design of the project and we were very pleased with her work. Later, it would appear that the pavers were not ordered yet at that time. There were seemingly long delays between progress reports. We called often to ask what was happening and were told there were other jobs scheduled ahead of us. When we were finally told we were next we received a call just a few days later informing us that the pavers we had selected were no long being made, indicating they had been ordered at the time we selected them. The company was able to get a new lot of the selected pavers produced and finally began the job in mid-July. Rain contributed to some interuptions in the work and it was not until late July the work was finally completed. Our sprinkler system water lines were cut by shovels several times and it appeared that they repaired them all. When I called my sprinkler company to come and relocate some of sprinler heads to accomodate the new plantings the technician discovered numerous other leaks that resulted from shovels cuts. We are happy with the final result but it was not a pleasany experience.
In the future I would try to get a specific completion date with penalties for failure to meet that date for any reason other than rain.

We liked the designs they made and the work was good. We are pleased with the outcome. Our neighbors told us that it looks good. We had used them two years ago and we were very happy with them and that is why we used them again.

It was a very nice place, the people were quite friendly and the price was right. The quality of the mulch turned out to be poor though. The first problem we encountered was when we laid the mulch out and found quite a few foreign objects (trash) in the mulch. There were small bits of rubber, plastic and steel. I emailed them about the problem and they said they'd pass that problem on to their provider. The second problem with the mulch came a few days after it was spread when it began to sprout brown slime mold, also known as "dog-vomit" mold. Because we've never had anything like that in our yard or mulch before we are again attributing it to the poor quality of the mulch. It was such a nice place, close by and had what appeared to be a great selection otherwise. I just won't be getting anymore mulch from them.

When he took down the decorations in Jan 2005, he told us that he would put the lights in a box, and put our name on them, and since we "Paid for the lights", if we used his service again in Dec 2005, the charge would be less. We contacted him in Nov 2005, and again arranged to have the decorations put up. He said it would be $875.00 this time since we paid for lights, and he didn't have to put up the hooks. About 2 weeks after he put them up, all the greens turned brown, and looked awful. He did come out, and put up new greens which again started to turn brown in about 2 weeks. In Jan 2006 we called to have the decorations taken down and since we had decided not to use him again. We told him to leave the lights since we bought them we would store them here at our home. He said we didn't buy them but only rented them. After much arguing he finally agreed to leave the lights, but it took about 5 days after the initial contact to have him come out and take down the decorations.

WHAT A CHARMING PLACE! VERY FRIENDLY AND HOMEY. WE WERE FREE TO WANDER THE GROUNDS AND PICK JUST THE RIGHT PLANTS IN PEACE AND QUIET. NOT AT ALL LIKE OTHER PLACES THAT ARE 'STORES' WHERE YOU'RE STEPPING OVER 12 PEOPLE TO PICK THE ROSEBUSH YOU WANT. THIS HAD MORE THE FEEL OF A U-PICK-IT FARM. YET THEY WERE QUITE ATTENTIVE TO OUR NEEDS AND HELPED TO DISTRACT MY TODDLER WHILE I CONCENTRATED ON MY FINAL DECISIONS. THE HOSTA SELECTION IS INCREDIBLE--I WISH I'D HAD ALL DAY TO BROWSE!
