Very smooth and terrific job from start to finish. Always came on time as promised and the job was completed as explained. I'd gotten five estimates on this job and Ralph Rhodes, Sr. was the most thorough in talking me through the processes required to do the job and was the quickest to offer me an estimate. Very, very reasonable cost.

Ralph was very good, prompt, courteous and knew what he was doing. His prices were reasonable. He was a quality person. With our old step, we had a drainage problem. The (new) job isn't really dry yet but based on our results so far, it looks like the work was good. We've only had one rain since the work was done but, from the one rain, it appears he solved our drainage problem. If we need any masonry work done in the future, Ralph will be the first person we call.

Ralph provided an estimate for the new chimney, and based on several recommendations and my personal interaction with him, I decided to award the contract to him. Ralph spent a great deal of time talking with me and explaining how everything would work. We interacted often about the choice and size of brick and other details. Unfortunately, the day before Ralph was to start work, his wife had a medical emergency and he had to delay the start date by a day. Then the bricks didn't arrive, resulting in another day's delay. With another project pressing Ralph and roofers waiting in the wings for him to finish the chimney, he put in a marathon session the last day. As a result the final results were not as good as I was expecting. I believe the chimney is perfectly serviceable, but a close inspection reveals it is not completely square or as aesthetically pleasing as I would have liked it to be.

RALPH WAS EXCELLENT. PERSONALLY, HE WAS PROMPT, COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL. HE FOLLOWED UP PROMPTLY WITH ALL CALLS AND INQUIRIES, AND DID EXCELLENT WORK. HE PERSONALLY PICKED UP THE TROWEL WHEN ONE OF HIS WORKERS WAS ABSENT, TO KEEP THE PROJECT ON SCHEDULE. I BELIEVE HE DOES MOSTLY COMMERCIAL WORK, SO CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY IF HE'LL TAKE ON YOUR RESIDENTIAL PROJECT.
