I originally contacted them in October 2016. When they finally got around to coming in late November 2016, I had already closed the pool, so they just removed the old sand and left the sand filter disassembled all winter long. This spring I contact them multiple times to come and finish the job. I have to leave my dog in the backyard when we go to work, so every time I want them to come I have to make alternate arrangements, but they typically don't show up or show up very late. Finally after 3 visits in the two weeks I now have a sand filter that leaks around its big flange (which wasn't the case last November) and the pump can't draw when the skimmer is not shut off. So things keep getting worse every time they come by, and I have spent extra money for dog daycare to boot. I have no intention of paying if they dare to send me a bill.

Worst experience ever!! Terrible customer service. Complete lack of follow up! I had scheduled this work in March!! And they opened the pool on time but first cleaning is completely another story! They were supposed to come out and clean the pool after the initial chemical add and that was a week ago!!! I have had to call them 5 to 6 times to get an update. I keep getting a response of we are running behind. Whatever that means! It's like I am at their mercy when they come and clean my pool! I scheduled this 2 months from the service date. If other people got rained on during their scheduled date, they should get a rain check not me! I would expect the same for me! If it rained the day they were going to come clean my pool I would expect them to give me another date. Rather making other people wait! Angie's list needs to either take them off their list or make them follow up and make me whole! Angie's list prides itself on great service providers well this one is far from that! Whatever you do - DO NOT use this company! We made a HUGE mistake and now we are trapped as its near impossible for us to get another company at this short notice and we are left with a dirty pool until these folks decide to grace us with their service!!

When the crew came out on Monday, the algae had dried on the walls. The pool technician and two subcontractorsand mdash;two men and one woman and ndash; worked to finish emptying the water and to clean the pool. I was glad to see a woman on the job. The men used the power washers. They did a good job getting the pool clean in the usual amount of time (about 4 hours) and were good natured about it. The crew helped set up the ladder and store the winter cover. The pressure washer did remove some paint from the top concrete step so that it looked pretty bad. This was minor however and repairable. I called the owner and he agreed to come out and repaint the top step. However, they had held the power washer very close, about two inches from the walls, and in the evening after they had left I could see that they had indeed made many scratches in the walls all around the pool with the strokes of the power washers. The pool owner didn't come out the next day. I think I had told him about the scratches. I later cancelled my request to have the step painted, since I wanted to get water in the pool as soon as possible. I was also pretty upset about how this job had been done. A few days later, a different staffer came out to balance the water and set the equipment up and finish getting the pool ready. This required two visits because the water level wasn't quite high enough (my fault here). It went okay. I mentioned the marks and he said maybe they could be made to blend in. The stainless steel liner of the pool has been in place for probably over twenty years and had been smooth and shiny the whole time, despite having been cleaned many seasons. I don't see why it could not have been cleaned without being damaged. I felt very let down by this company. I believe the power washers were used incorrectly. Fortunately, at present, when the pool is filled with water these scratches are barely noticeable most of the time. No effort was made to apologize for this damage or to make it up to me in any way.

With everything that has come to light since we stopped Poseidon's involvement with our pool, I cannot recommend this company for anything beyond very simple pool maintenance.
This review is written two years after our last contact because it is only now that the full damage has been made clear now that the pool has been emptied, resurfaced, primed and painted.

Mark and Chip were awesome to work with. They were VERY professional and always got back with us right away when we called. I found their name here on Angies List which is the reason we joined Angie's List. I didn't want just anyone putting in our pool so relied on reviews I found here. They stuck with the job until it was complete and we would call them again.

We have had two men who have come at different times as needed from Poseidon Pool. They both have helped us get familiar with taking care of a pool and getting it cleaned after we bought our house, and have been very professional, patient, and thorough.

Prior to moving to the Columbus area, we had built a pool in New England and did not think we would be able to attain the same high level of satisfaction from a pool contractor. Well, enter Chip, Mark and the other team members from Poseidon Pools who and quot;topped the scalesand quot; for craftsmanship, superior customer service and professionalism. Here's our story....
Chip, the owner, was the first contractor (out of the 4 we met with) to return our phone call for a new pool build. When he came to our home he shared with us his company information and philosophy, new construction step by step process, portfolio of work and sample wall materials. He portrayed himself very well, was a good listener and had a great demeanor. In addition, his (Poseidon Pools) references were glowing regarding customer service, cleanliness of job site and overall professionalism of his team. Also, throughout the negotiation process Chip was very fair to deal with, and we had repeated discussions in the evening hours to talk through various questions we had. He was very responsive and continued to be so throughout the process.
After selecting Poseidon, Mark (on-site manager) came to our home to help us and quot;map outand quot; where the pool was going to be in our yard. Was he and quot;ever patientand quot; with us as we changed our minds several times before we arrived at the and quot;right place.and quot; Equally patient was Chip in dealing with several nuances and unforseen mishaps with the permit process from the town. When the hole was being dug and the wall construction commenced, Mark and team worked tirelessly to get the pool finished within their timeline -even though and quot;mother natureand quot; was complicating the process with a rainy spring. During the construction process we always knew when they were coming, who was coming and what they were doing. In addition, they and quot;cleaned upand quot; after themselves before they left for the day.
We are thoroughly satisfied with our pool and would highly recommend Poseidon Pools to anyone!

Always the same two guys come out to do the work for years. They know everything about our systems. They come out in the beginning to open it and come out at the need of the season to close it. If our pool water gets messed up or some allergy stuff grows, they come out and fix it for us. They just charge for the chemicals.

Chip is awesome, he's easy to get ahold of, quick to respond, and great to work with. He (and everyone else at Poseidon) helped me learn how to take care of my new pool (which was hard b/c I knew nothing and still have a lot to learn). I will use them every year for my opening and closings.

Good service. Service provider knows about subject and gave good advice. Went beyond normal service in order to force liner supplier to honor guarantee; liner had to be replaced due to leak caused by manufacturing error.

I would stand by their weekly cleaning. The cleaning is done as per my specifications and is entirely satisfactory. I am not satisfied with anything they do but the weekly cleaning. They are very responsive. If you call them, they will call you back. They are reliable. The guys, who come out, are fine. I will continue to use them for cleaning only.

Overall experience was good. If I had to do it over again I would paint in the fall instead of the spring. In the fall a problem came to light. Wrong type of screws had been used to secure a plastic cover over the two inlet jets. (2 plastic covers). They did not fit, this resulted in one or two of them coming out. Also, they were not stainless steel so they rusted, created rust stains around the floor of the pool by the inland jets. I called the company and explained what had happened. They said that they would repair it in the spring, cleaning up the stain and replacing screws.

I asked Poseidon to repair my pool heater. They came out and told me I needed a new igniter for the heater. I bought the igniter from them and installed it myself. The problem was not fixed. Two weeks later, they returned to pick up the igniter, and credited my account. However, they would not fix my heater. After 3 weeks of waiting, there was no progress in the repair and they will not come back.

We are extremely pleased with the work and attitude that is consistently demonstrated by Poseidon Pools. On the occasions when we have had a party or special event at our home, they have come on the day requested to make sure our pool is clean on that day. We believe their charges are very reasonable for the services they perform. They communicate with us regularly to make sure our expectations are being met. Chip has personally come to our home on occasions when we needed special service or had a difficult problem.

MORE THAN 6 MONTHS AGO A COVER OF THE SWIMSPA WAS RUINED BY ONE OF THEIR ASSOCIATES. THEY ADMITTED THEIR FAULT AND PROMISED TO REPLACE IT. AFTER NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS AND LETTERS WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR IT. WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO ENJOY THE SPA AS MUCH AS WE EXPECTED TO (WE MOVED IN 5 MONTHS AGO). ALSO THEY APPEARED NOT TO BE ABLE TO REPAIR SOME LOOSE TILES: USED THE WRONG MATERIAL, SO THE TILES GOT LOOSE AGAIN WITHIN 1 WEEK.
