About us
Tim and Mariana began operating their franchise in October 2002. They have earned the trust of buyers, sellers and real estate professionals, growing into one of the largest and most respected companies in the area, offering professional home inspections, termite inspections and radon testing. The team (2 inspectors) has inspected over 3,000 properties in all kinds of neighborhoods, from older historic neighborhoods, to the new luxury homes of the growing suburbs, and everything in between. We inspect residential single, multi unit homes and investment property. All home inspections are completed according to The Standards of Practice of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). Tim is the President of the Ohio Chapter of The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI®). Our goal is to enable you to be an informed customer who is familiar with the details of the home. We strongly encourage you to attend the inspection, which provides an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about your prospective new home. During the inspection, we will point out and discuss areas of concern regarding the property. You will then be provided with a computerized, detailed, unbiased report with all of this information and much more. For sellers, a pre-listing inspection can detect previously unknown problems or potential upgrades that you wish to address prior to selling your home. Being aware of issues in advance will allow for disclosure of problems, which can result in smoother transactions for all parties. Call our office to learn more about our services. We look forward to working for you.

Tim Buell did a horrible job evaluating a condo my brother ended up purchasing. The unit he bought had not been occupied for a while, so there was not a lot evidence of water issues when we did our tour. After he moved in he discovered water in the basement and water in the first floor closet ceiling and bathroom ceiling. Buell missed cracks in the exterior foundation that had allowed water to flow into both sides of the basement and 3 leaks in upstairs plumbing that took out the ceilings. If he had opened any of the plumbing access panels or looked behind one of the non-working electrical outlets, he would have found corrosion and mold indicating major problems. His defense is that Pillar to Post only allows for visual inspection of the house. He is not allowed to open access panels and open anything electrical. We thought that we had hired a professional service that would find the hidden issues in a property. That is not what you get when you hire Pillar to Post.
This is just one of the obvious things he missed. The report that's generated is also sub-par. Basically it's just a bunch of check marks in boxes, 2 pages of GENERIC crap not related to your house, and then maybe 1-2 pages specific to the property. Missed sections such as basement, kitchen, etc.
