Description of Work: Nimon Collier completely removed our old kitchen, down to the studs and built a new kitchen for us. They also removed and replaced flooring and woodwork. Their design suggestions were terrific and we love our new kitchen. Everyone associated with Nimon Collier is extremely professional, including the people with whom they subcontract. The project manager made sure, on a daily basis, that we were pleased with the project, the workers, and the state of our home. They made a strong effort to leave the house clean every day and to take steps to contain dust, debris and odors. They might cost a tad more than other builders, but their estimate was accurate and we had no unpleasant add-ons or surprises, and I think that the professionalism and care that they take is worth a premium. I would highly recommend Nimon Collier.

Description of Work: We had Nimon Collier take care of a long list of handyman work at our house from fixing a door handle to cleaning out the dryer. Ben was very professional and friendly. We were very pleased with the work and plan on hiring Nimon Collier again in the future.

 + 1 moreThe project went excellently and was completed pretty much on time. A few weather delays (snow and ice) slowed the project at the end but that was unavoidable. We were so pleased with this job we now have the company under contract for another, much smaller project. I would recommend Nimon-Collier. The project came in right on budget except for a few modifications that we decided to make during the process. All changes were agreed upon in advance with a signed change order. There were no surprises!
Description of Work: This was a home remodeling project that included expanding the kitchen and adding a mud room, full bathroom, family room and screened porch on the first floor and a new bedroom upstairs. Also included were: updating plumbing and electrical service, repair and refinish wood floors throughout, paint the entire interior, gut kitchen and install new cabinets, counters and flooring. Also included were all new appliances in the kitchen and a tankless water heater. One of the most impressive aspects of the project was the beautiful woodworking and then staining so that the new woodwork matched the 80 year old woodwork. If you were not told in advance you would not guess that the house has been expanded and new woodwork installed. Part of the success of the project was the excellent interaction between Kevin Nimon and our architect, Sandra LaFontaine. Her creative design makes the house appear to have been built all at the same time rather than an addition to an 80 year old home. I was so impressed that Kevin and Sandra patiently worked through the large and small details. Finally Kevin and his team helped me move all the furniture out of the house (to the POD) and then back into the house.

Description of Work: I called Nimon-Collier to get an estimate after being referred by someone who knew them well. I got a call back from David Collier 3 days after my initial call and he mentioend that Kevin would call me back to discuss details. Kevin never called !!

 + 0 moreWe completely gutted the first floor. We took the first floor down to the studs. Added a second story (700 square feet). The second floor we added two bedrooms and a full bath. We reconfigured the first floor so we could have a gourmet kitchen, master suite, library and powder room. The original entrance was on the side of the house so we moved it to the front of the house. We had a new furnace and duct work installed. As well as, updated plumbing and electric. Kevin and Dave did an outstanding job on the project. The project lasted about 6 months. We appreciated the fact that each day workers were at the house someone from Dave's team was present the entire time. Dave and Kevin made sure that each day the house wasn't a mess. We appreciated his efforts to keep the house clean. The craftsmen that Dave used were superb! We had custom kitchen cabinets and several built-in's made by his master carpenter. He is fantastic to work with and his work is beautiful. The tile work and trim turned out better than we had envisioned. The project from start to finish was done professionally, on time and on budget. Thank you Nimon and Collier!

 + 1 moreThey made it easier for us. I was expecting a lot of mess and dust but they did a wonderful job. They removed a lot of things before construction, cleaned up very nicely as they worked and thoroughly when they completed. The construction was very good.
Description of Work: They did quite a lot. They extended our kitchen, basement and created a mud room. They also redid all of our floors.

 + -1 moreI can't tell you how satisfying it is to have a Nimon Collier professional come into my home and tackle the list of projects hanging around the house. Their "to do" home services division is just a gift to home owners like me who aren't sure where to turn with a wide range of home repairs. I always start with them when I have a problem, as I'm sure they'll know just what to do to address the problem. If they can't do it, they won't bluff their way thru the repair, but will send you on to a contractor who specializes in specific repairs (e.g. brick repair.) Their construction managers who perform the work are honest, friendly, skilled and very capable. I would let them to any repair in my home. In fact, when they're tackling a job they have found other problems, most recently rotting wood around a window that I hadn't even noticed. Their construction manager, Steve, alerted me to the problem, but never pressured me to perform the repair. When I said that I'd certainly want it fixed, he had the materials in his truck to tackle the work that day. It's always a relief to greet them at my door when they arrive. I know they'll do what I need and do it well.
Description of Work: They tackled my honey-do list with great professionalism. My projects included replacing and staining siding in several places, repairing flashing around patio door, replaced rotted wood around a window, repaired dry wall, checked source of outside rainwater leak. Measured and provided specs for a new replacement door, to be installed later.

Clean up was very well. They adjusted the plans and did a great job. They were out checking the job frequently. I would definitely recommend them. They were a pleasure to deal with.
