Jason responded promptly to my initial call. He gave a fair estimate and completed the job in a professional manner. He and his team had the job finished within a week of my initial call. I was so happy with the work done, and I would definitely call him again.

To my surprise, he started the patio 7/20, a day or so AFTER a heavy rain. I stopped at home on my lunch break from work and found a big dually truck in my driveway, a "new" mud road w/ deep tire ruts, up the full length of my yard. a big dirt/mud 12' x 12' mess in my backyard where he drove, dropped supplies and turned around in my backyard. The patio was started - the base materials were down and he'd started the paver laying. I immediately said something about the damage to my yard and the fact that the pavers looked as though they were high and sagging to the center on one corner. He ASSURED me he would fix my yard and level the patio. He brought up how I got such a great price and he was doing me such a favor -so trust him. The next day I came home again for lunch. He was gone, the patio was done, the yard looked like a dirt mess with grass seed and mud and I had a new dirt road he created up the side of my yard. I emailed him my concerns on that night -7/21. No reply. I just happened to be at home on 7/22. He and 2 workers just showed up with a truck full of dirt. He was just going to dump more dirt on my yard and lay new seed WITHOUT contacting me. We spoke and I told him the patio still was sagging to the center, it looked unlevel and the yard looked awful. He was not happy with my assessment of his work. I again heard how he cut me such a wonderful deal and he had no room to do a big repair of my yard. I was totally shocked at his attitude and tone with me. I had made it a point not to raise my voice with him and remain calm as I relayed my concerns but I was totally intimidated at this point and told them to finish adding the dirt and escaped into my house until they left. I spent the rest of my summer NOT being able to use or let my puppy out in the back or side yards because of watering the mud mess surrounding my patio and side yard. My side yard where the truck drove left dually tire indents in what formerly was a nice side yard and the paver patio is NOT square, is high on 2 corners and sags in the center. So Garden Guru not only ruined yard for years to come, it ruined my summer. They did an awful job with the patio, I still don't have grass, I have an awful yard where he attempted to repair his trucks tire damage and I had an awful personal experience trying to work out my concerns with him. I reluctantly paid the balance just to be done with him. By the way the money I was "saved" on the patio deal, I MORE THAN MADE UP tending to and watering grass that didn't grow.

In a situation where so many unexpected crises occurred through no fault of theirs, the folks of Garden Guru took it all in stride. They worked efficiently and well. Their cleanup efforts at the end of each day were truly excellent and they were extremely accommodating to our needs under trying situations. Suffice to say that their work was uniformly excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone in search of superior landscaping work.
