Appliance Smart

After they were delivered, the stove had a cracked regulator so I called the store to find out what could be done. They said they would get a new regulator ordered and install it.  When a man did come out to fixed it, he left the stove setting 4 1/2 inches out from the wall.

 I again called the store and was told to just push it back myself.  I am older so I had to call a friend to help me. We tried but could not get it back close enough to the wall. I called the store again and they sent out  another man who discovered the first installer had the gas line twisted.  This man fixed the gas line and managed to get stove back where it belonged .

In total, it took eight days, after the appliances were delivered, before they finally were installed correctly and operational!!! 

My worse complaint was the fact I had to call the store numerous times to get the problems fix and each person I spoke with just didn't seen to care if it was fixed or not. 

Worse customer service I have ever had!

We’ve been having problems with the oven and nothing seems to turns on. I called ApplianceSmart and they said they cannot come out until Monday 8/19/13. I took the day off work and they then backed out last minute. I cannot keep taking days off of work and I cannot keep calling them back attempting to schedule this repair service. I have a family to cook for and at this point I simply want them to take the oven back and refund my money.

My experience with them was not great. The sales person seemed uninterested in helping me and was rather vague in his answers. I asked him about all the connections that I would need to get the washer/dryer working and he had me buy a power cord for the dryer. When the delivery people came they informed me that I should have bought a water hose and that they will not be able to install my washer/dryer. They mentioned that It wasn't unusual for appliance mart to do such things. When I called appliance smart, they were rather dismissive and claimed that they told me about the water hose which was definitely not true. I rejected the delivery and asked for a refund. I was told that they would issue me a check from their main office in MN which I am still waiting for. I ended up buying a set from Sears outlet.

The quality of the appliances from ApplianceSmart was good. They did a really good job all the way around. They have manufacturer's warranty and no issues since I bought the goods. They delivered and they put them in.

We bought an "as is" 18 cu ft Frigidaire refrigerator from Appliance Smart.  It had a couple scratches on the side  The price was about $150 less than what we had seen online.  The refrigerator you looked at is the one they deliver.  They touched up the scratches before delivery.  The deliver people arrived on time. They had to take off the side door and the door to the kitchen to remove the old refrigerator and bring in the new one.  The 2 gentlemen knew exactly what to do.  I was concerned about scratching the floor with the old one because it didn't roll well.  They took care  to lift it instead of trying to roll it.  They assembled the new refrigerator, set it into its location and leveled it.  One assembled while the other put the doors back in  their hinges.  They were here and gone in less than 30 minutes.

It was closeout appliances, so they had a discount.  We found that they had the same brands as other places, but their prices were better.  From my perspective, it was worth it because we could save 25% on our appliance.  Their service was not bad, but it wasn?t super either.

We purchased a refurbished washing machine, which I thought was a current model (later to find out it was from 2009).  The salesman convinced me that it I would have no trouble with it that the machine had been fully inspected and tested by their in-house service department.  I decided to pick it up and install it myself which went fine.  However after getting the machine balanced, we started to test it out.  The first load of clothes left a small puddle on the floor.  I assumed this was just the runoff from the hoses when I was connecting them.  I dried the floor and tried it again, same result.  I called the service department immediately, they are only open from 9 - 4, so I left a message.  I waited until 5 pm the next day and I heard nothing back.  This was the point where I said I'm done with this place; if they are going to cover my warranty and not call me back within 24 hours I would rather not mess with it.  I called the salesman and explained the situation and his first response was, call service.  I told him I did and they did not get back to me.  He then told me that this was not normal.  I told him, I was returning the washing machine.  The end result, I took the washing machine back and got my money back.  I will not shop at Appliance Smart again.

Everything turned out well. The first one that came in had a scratch on it but they were able to re-order it. We picked this one up and installed it ourselves.

John Barton, the Lead Sales Associate, handled all our purchases. He found our preferred Make and Model appliances and offered us fair purchase prices. We met our kitchen remodel schedule with only one "minor" delayed delivery: John worked diligently to locate the range and to get it delivered (although it created a 10 day delay for our installing contractor, who handled the inconvenience admirably). We got our 'preferred' appliance for a slight 'inconvenience' - no major harm was done.

We visited the store twice and on the second visit we made or purchase. Both times it took some time for someone to finally help us, but I think this was due to short staff. The salesman went over everything including the mail-in rebate for a $400 American Express gift card. They had two packages that included everything we needed, and he went over the low end and the high end packages. We decided to go with the high end package, and have the fridge and stove delivered. The delivery went smoothly as I think they don't do it themselves, but have another company do it.

They were very friendly when I went in there. They helped me find what I was looking for. They delivered the refrigerator for and they got it here on time.

I was in need of a new refrigerator at my business for employees to keep their lunches in. I did not want anything too fancy. Mark Arthur's was very helpful and directed me to a few different styles and informed me regarding the positive and negative aspects of each. Mr. Arthur's explained the warranty information, but was not pushy in any way. The refrigerator was delivered 2 days later.

The salesmen were very knowledgable and helpful with suggestions on how to install it.

Professional, on time, sold us a good product and delivered it. When we had trouble with the dishwasher leaking, they sent someone out to repair and reinstall it the next day. No problems since then!

The salesman was adequate for information. He did not set up delivery, we had to call back to get it scheduled. Delivery was on time, but lacked parts to put dryer on the stand. Store was notified and was going to call back. No call for several days. When we called back we were told a service person would call. No call for about a week. When we called again we were told a service person would call the next day and we stated it had to be an evening appointment. He did call with a day appointment. We asked again for resolution , a district manager or national customer service number and were told that it doesn't exist. We are seriously considering returning the set and starting a new.

Salespeople were friendly and very accommodating.

Decent selection of well rated dishwashers for an outlet. We purchased a scratch & dent for a very reasonable price for the quality. It had no visible marks and may have been previously used as a demo or test model. It has been installed and is working well. The company they referred for installation was prompt and professional. The installation cost was within the range quoted by Appliancesmart (it was at the top of the range because we needed new piping installed.) Our only complaint, which is minor, is that the sales representative told us the haul away of the old dishwasher would be free with installation. However the installation company charged $5 as they did not deliver the new dishwasher (we picked it up ourselves.)

I DID MY RESEARCH ON ANGIE'S LIST AND CONSUMER'S REPORTS AND WALKED INTO THE WAREHOUSE/STORE WITH A LIST OF A FEW MODELS THAT I WOULD CONSIDER. THEY HAD SEVERAL MACHINES OF MY TOP CHOICE MODEL AND THE SALESMAN HELPED ME FIND ALL OF THEM SO I COULD CHOOSE THE BEST ONE. SINCE EACH MACHINE HAS DIFFERENT BLEMISHES, THAT'S A NICE EFFORT BY THE SALESMAN. THEY DELIVERED IT TO OUR HOME IN COLUMBUS PROMPTLY AND WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS, HOOKED IT UP, AND IT'S BEEN HAPPILY WORKING FOR US FOR ABOUT 6 WEEKS NOW. NO PROBLEMS!

DIDN'T GO IN WITH HIGH EXPECTATIONS, BUT WAS TOTALLY WON OVER! WE THOUGHT THE SALESPEOPLE WOULD BE ENTIRELY UNKNOWLEDGEABLE GIVEN THAT THIS IS A FACTORY OUTLET KNOWN FOR SCRATCH & DENT ITEMS. BUT JESSE EVANS WAS ABLE TO ANSWER EVERY QUESTION WE ASKED AND DIRECTED RIGHT TO THE KINDS OF THINGS WE WANTED TO SEE. I CAN'T SEE ANY REASON TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR AN APPLIANCE AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE (SAME MODEL COSTS OVER $2500 ELSEWHERE)!
