Rite Rug

The installation went poorly from the start. The job was initially estimated to take 3 days - 2 days for the tile, 1 day for the hardwood.
- The original tile installation took three days (7/31, 8/1, 8/4) versus the scheduled two days (7/31, 8/1). The first two days the crew didn't start until 11am and stopped work by 330pm. Due to the additional installation time on the tile, the hardwood flooring installation date was moved from 8/5 to 8/14. The hardwood was installed on 8/14, but there were several installation flaws that needed to be addressed (several visible nicks in the wood, one mis-installed transition piece to carpet, one missing transition piece to tile). In addition, the quarter-round trim installed with the tile was wrong color.

• - The repair of the nicks on the hardwood, the replacement of the quarter-round installed on the tile, the re-installation of the hardwood-carpet transition, and the installation of the hardwood-tile transition were scheduled for 8/22. That appointment was cancelled late in the morning on that day due to scheduling issues and material unavailability. My wife was on the road from Wooster for the appointment when she got the cancellation call. The repairs were made on Saturday, 8/30. However, the hardwood-tile transition installed was the wrong color.

- Rite Rug installers missed an appointment to install the hardwood-tile transition on 9/25 due to scheduling issues (they overbooked).
- The next attempt to install the hardwood-tile transition was done on 9/26. Rite Rug supplied to wrong color transition piece to the installer.
- The adequate hardwood-tile transition was installed on 10/2
End result is that we have what we ordered, two months and two days after the start of the three-day project - after 5 additional vacation days taken and hours on the phone with Rite Rug customer service. So choose a vendor that works to do it right the first time, and if there are problems, that works to resolve them quickly. Unfortunately, we found that Rite Rig isn't that kind of vendor.

They did a great job. The installers worked really hard, they were clean and cleaned up their mess when they left though we had a little bit of issue with the customer service people afterwards.

It is very professional and looks great. They were the best service I've ever has personally. They did a beautiful job. Their salesman was an 'A'. They sent 2 Latinos out and one couldn't speak English and one could barely speak English but they sure knew what they were doing. There is a new floor tile that they actually grout. It was a beautiful product. These guys were so good, they have obviously done a lot of them. Everything was perfect. They sent a carpet layer out and their work was just as good. Their work was excellent.

The over all experience was horrific At store level it was not to bad Installation of back-slash was the first of MANY PROBLEMS that where encountered Other problems where installers not showing up on a scheduled time and no phone call from installer store or customer service Installer who did not want to do the job and left without doing the job Then when I had my vinyl  flooring put in again times scheduled wrong customer service not returning phone calls problems getting an installer to do the work Work that was promised to be done couldn't be done when floor was finally to be installed The project took longer than was promised and when I finally got the job done I had an issue with the floor and yet again I couldn't get return phone calls from customer service and when I would call back to find out what was going on all I got was the "run a round" I will never use Rite Rug again And I recommend that anyone thinking of using Rite Rug BEWARE!!

This experience was a nightmare from the start. Their customer service is extremely poor. They are very disorganized, and they are horrible with communication with both their customers and one another. We had problems with the carpeting of the stairs. They got the measurements wrong and they all disagreed on how the carpet should be installed. We had to get the head manager in Columbus to help us. That's when things started to change. We were happy the carpeting installers, just not the management. It took three and half months to get everything solved and the final installing because of the complications with the measurements, carpets not matching, they lost carpet, and the list goes on.
