Ace Asphalt Maintenance and Striping

Ace Asphalt was recommended by a friend. I called on Tuesday and left a message with the details of what I would like to have done with a call-back # and address. The owner called back a week later and said he would be up the next day to take a look. He never showed. I called again asking if he was going to be by. He showed up 4 days later. He measured the driveway and said he would get me a price. I've sent him text messages asking for a price and it's more than 2 weeks later and still not a word from him. I wouldn't recommend him if he was the last company in the area.

I called Ace Maintenance for an estimate to seal our driveway and to fill any cracks. We had received 3 estimates from companies to do the work.. Their estimate was not the lowest but we heard good reviews. The sealing was completed on the day scheduled and looks great. We've had our driveway sealed many times before and this was as good or better !

After several weeks of calling the provider, leaving messages and getting no response, I contacted Angie's List. Following this action, he finally contacted me. He mentioned he had other jobs in the neighborhood and would come after the completion of one of them. The job was performed and I waited more than one week before parking in the driveway. After allowing the appropriate time for it to cure , I noticed it seemed unfinished and that moisture was emanating from the several areas. The provider came inspected it in my absence and said he did not see problem with service provided. I responded I wanted it and that I would contact Angie's List to complain. in the meantime, I discovered that the provider is inflating prices for Angie's List customers. The service that I paid $135 for (an Angie's list "Deal" claimed to cost regularly $150) is actually costing my neighbors, from the same exact company, around $98 (even those that have a 3 car garage). On several occasions I asked the provider to reseal the driveway and I challenged him on the pricing. he said Angie's had recommended the pricing. Aside from the service issue, I am extremely that it appears that I could have paid a much cheaper price from the same company had I not bought the "Deal" from Angie's list. furthermore, the provider is extremely unresponsive. He never answers the phone and sometimes takes over a week to respond to e-mail or does not respond at all.

I called and was told they would come to inspect then call me back with an estimate in "a week or so." Three weeks later, still haven't heard from them.

It was fine. It turned out my driveway was bigger than the coupon allowed so they did the amount of work by the coupon and charged me for the remainder. They did the work fine. It's just that the extra invoice for doing the extra part came a long time after they had done the work so it was sort of a surprise. They are probably right along with everybody else on the price. The quality was okay. I expected the invoice a little more quickly. They should have either gotten me the invoice more quickly or leaving something behind that says there's going to be an extra charge of probably $200-300 more and they are going to have an invoice too within 4 weeks. I was completely unaware that there was going to be any extra charges. I understand that the coupon covered the driveway at a certain size so I'm not saying that they shouldn't have charged me, it's just being notified a little more timely would have been helpful.

I ordered a driveway seal online through Angie's List on July 8th. Angie's List billed my credit card $200 in July. On September 3rd, the vendor finally did seal our driveway. I would have appreciated a response to my phone calls (even if it was just to tell me it would be a while). In the end, the driveway was sealed, but I received a bill for an additional $300+ due to the additional square footage. While I understand this additional charge, I would have preferred being told what the total bill would be (at least approximately) before the work was completed.

I called in the morning looking for snow removal service. they showed up approx. 1 hour after I called. very responsive. gentleman that did the work was very professional. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for snow removal.

They actually got us in earlier than he thought he could. They were very efficient, polite and nice people. Everything was great.
