We definitely chose the right company!  A Family Moving Company provided an excellent moving service for my family! They were on time and got busy loading up our belongings! Friendly, helpful and dedicated to their job!  Sean and Tom1 started the job first and then Tom2 was called to assist our move!  All three men were great, helpful and super efficient!  Our move went great and I would highly recommend this company for your next move!  We had many large and heavy items that had to be moved and the job got done at a decent time saving us money in the long run! Everything was moved and our new place looked great!  My husband and I really appreciated A Family Moving Company and they delivered A+ service!

From the estimate to the move, this job was an A the whole way.  The movers Tom and Tom have worked for this componay for 15+ years and both were friendly, courteous and highly professional.  They worked hard, asked questions when needed and never bumped a wall in either house or damaged a piece of furniture etc. in any way.

I provided a tip to the for both gentleman to the "Lead Tom" and he immediately reported it to the other Tom so that it was completely transparent what had taken place.

They worked from 830am to 7pm.

Tom and Joe moved us and did an excellent job. The price charged was about half what the other movers estimated

The two men, Joe and Tom, were fast and efficient. They were careful with my furniture and hustled the entire time. They were late, which was no fault of theirs, by two and a half hours but the owner was so apologetic and gave me a 10% discount to make up for being late. A coworker referred me to A Family Moving Co. and I will use them again.

They were super efficient.  Nothing was broken during the move. They even repaired my night stand, they glued back on the leg.  They are really professional and it was an overall great experience.

The three man crew arrived one hour later than expected but we were aware that they have a move scheduled for that morning.  When they arrived, they were pleasant, courteous and very professional.  They did not complain about the weight of our boxes or items, the heat or the stairs.  This is my first experience with hiring movers and I feel very lucky to have found this company! 

They did a very good job and the price was a lot lower than I expected!

What a great experience...again!!  This is the second time that I have used A Family Moving and I would use them again.  I was ready for them to arrive and even though they were 20 minutes late, they started right in on the job.  They also all had great attitudes and they were not going to let me give up on getting some of the pieces in the new house until they had tried.  It was a real team environment.  They also moved large boxes of stone.  Like I said, I would use them again, since this is my second time.

Final cost for services rendered exceeded the estimate by 50%! Either they are clueless or, worse, they deliberately underestimate the real cost. Why would they do that? Because they are going to hold your belongings hostage until you pay up. They are "cash only" so you know they don't trust you. Suggest you return the favor.

I was a little concerned when only two movers showed up for our very large house but they did a great job. They worked quickly and very hard. Our only complaint is they estimated $520 and we had to pay $740. It was also concerning that that would not take a check or credit card. They only accept cash or cashier's check -- something that would have been helpful to know before the day of the move.

The first time they came they gave me an estimate of $300 so I went with them. Then when they were to do the job they said it would be a $200 more so they rescheduled because I didn't have that much cash. the second time they came they were 2 hours late. I told them that every thing needed moved and left to go to the new place. they didn't load up my desk and would not deliver it for me. They took hours longer than expected so they charged me more again. They destroyed the molding in the master bedroom at the place I was leaving. I called and complained but could not get anyone to respond to my complaints.

THE WORKMAN WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.

WE HAD TOM, JAMES, AND TOM F. THESE GUYS WERE AMAZING. I HAVE NEVER SEEN PEOPLE WORK SO HARD. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. OH YEAH, AND THEY WANTED TO SAVE ME MONEY SO THEY MADE SUGGESTIONS TO GET THE JOB DONE FASTER.

THEY CHARGED $75 AN HOUR. THEY SENT 2 PEOPLE. THEY WERE VERY ACCOMMODATING. THEY STORED ITEMS IN MY ATTIC FOR ME.

THEY CALLED TO SAY THEY WOULD BE LATE. WHEN THEY ARRIVED THEY HAD THREE MEN, NOT TWO AS I REQUESTED. THE HEAD MAN WANTED TO RENEGOTIATE THE TERMS. I AGREED TO HIS SUGGESTION OF MOVING THE ALL THE OBJECTS FOR 300.00 EVEN IF IT WENT OVER THE 2 HRS AGREED UPON WE WOULD ONLY BE CHARGED THE 300. WHEN HE REALIZED I WAS NOT GOING TO LET HIM WALK ACROSS THE LAWN HE SAID IT WOULD BE MORE. SO I SAID LET US GO BACK TO THE AGREED 2 HRS FOR 240. HE SAID NO THAT HE HAD 3 MEN NOT 2 AND IT WOULD BE ONLY 1 AND HALF HRS. THEN HE WANTED ALL HIS MONEY UP FRONT BEFORE THEY STARTED THE JOB. I SAID I WOULD GIVE HIM PART OF IT. HE SAID NO. (THIS WAS NOT TOLD TO ME WHEN I MADE THE ARRANGEMENT THAT I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO PAY BEFORE THE JOB WAS DONE). I WAS VERY UPSET AND WANTED TO TALK TO THE OWNER. HE CALLED AND TOLD THE OWNER I DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY FOR THE JOB. THE OWNER TOLD ME IT WAS NOT MY PROBLEM THEY SHOWED UP WITH 3 PEOPLE, SHE AGREED TO THE AGREED AMOUNT FOR 2 HRS, BUT EXPECTED TO BE PAID UP FRON

THEY RAISED THE PRICE AFTER THE FACT BY ABOUT $400. THEY ARE NOT CALLING BACK AFTER I HAD TO CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT DUE TO ILLNESS. OUR BIG SCREEN AND WALLS WERE DAMAGED. I WAS TOLD THINGS WOULD BE DISASSEMBLED & REASSEMBLED. BECAUSE OF THE COST OVER-RUNS, PARTS OF ITEMS WERE LEFT AT THE PREVIOUS RESIDENCE. VERY FRUSTRATING.

THE MOVERS WERE 3 HOURS LATE, DUE TO A CALL OFF. WHEN THEY DID ARRIVE, THEY BROUGHT 3 MEN INSTEAD OF 2 AND TOLD ME IT IS EXTRA WITH 3 MEN. I WAS TOLD OVER THE PHONE, IT WOULD BE ONE PRICE AND WHEN THEY CAME IT WAS MORE, DUE TO THE EXTRA MAN I NEVER ASKED FOR. TWO OF THE MEN WERE NICE AND DID THEIR JOB, BUT THE THIRD MAN WAS A WASTE OF TIME. HE DIDN'T REALLY HELP, JUST WATCHED, AND I PAID EXTRA FOR THAT? THEIR TRUCK WASN'T AS BIG AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE, SO THINGS HAD TO BE SQUEEZED IN. I WAS NOT HAPPY THAT THEY WERE LATE AND THAT THE COST WAS MORE THAN I WAS TOLD. NOTHING WAS BROKEN.

THEY WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY WENT ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS AND DID THE JOB. THEY GOT CAUGHT UP IN TRAFFIC A BIT, SO THEY WERE 45 MINUTES LATE. THEY DIDN'T CALL, BUT ONCE THEY GOT HERE IT WAS WONDERFUL. THEY DID GREAT WORK!

THEY DIDN'T BREAK ANYTHING AND TOOK THEIR TIME. I DON'T HAVE ANY DISHES OR KITCHEN HUTCH OR THINGS LIKE THAT. A LOT OF MY STUFF I'VE HAD FOR A WHILE, SO I WASN'T TOO WORRIED ABOUT IT.

THEY HAD SOMEONE COME OUT BEFORE HAND AND GIVE US AN ESTIMATE. WE HAVE A PLAY SET THAT NEEDED TO BE MOVED. THE GUY THAT GAVE US THE ESTIMATE TOLD US THEY COULD MOVE IT, BUT ON MOVING DAY, THEY TOLD US THEY COULDN'T MOVE IT BECAUSE THE BOTTOM WAS 6 INCHES TOO BIG. I DON'T REALLY THINK IT WAS THE FAULT OF THE ESTIMATOR, HE JUST DIDN'T SEE THE BOTTOM PART. I WOULD JUST SUGGEST THAT IF YOU HAVE A SITUATION LIKE THAT, TO MAKE SURE THEY MEASURE EVERY INCH OF THE SET. MY ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT WAS I ASKED IF THERE WAS A TRUCK THAT COULD MOVE IT, AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE ONE OR ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ON HOW TO GET IT OVER.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB. WE WERE SATISFIED.

THEY BILLED US ALMOST TWICE THE AMOUNT WE WERE QUOTED PRIOR TO THE DAY OF OUR MOVE - THEY CHARGED BY THE HOUR AND WORKED AT A SNAILS PACE, TAKING BREAK AFTER BREAK AFTER BREAK. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND NOR USE THEM FOR ANY MOVING SERVICES IN THE FUTURE.

WE HAD ARRANGED TO MOVE ON A FRIDAY AFTERNOON. THE TWO MEN ARRIVED AT THE TIME AGREED UPON AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. WE HAD JUST HAD THE HARDWOOD FLOORS REDONE, AND IT WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO SET THE FURNITURE DOWN WITHOUT SLIDING IT ON THE FLOOR. THEY WERE VERY CAREFUL WITH EVERY ASPECT OF MOVING OUR THINGS. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH JUST HOW CAREFUL THEY WERE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

I WOULDN''T USE THEM AGAIN. THE WORKERS THEMSELVES TRIED TO PLEASE.

COST WAS THREE TIMES ORIGINAL BID, TOOK MORE MEN AND MORE TRIPS, TOOK TWO DAYS INSTEAD OF ONE AS WAS TOLD. WOULD NOT USE THEM AGAIN. IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE THEM MAKE THEM DO A WALK THROUGH WITH A MAXIMUM ESTIMATE.
