Tumlin & Sons Ltd

I called 5 companies for an estimate to replace part of a shared driveway including the apron & sidewalk. Four of the  companies gave me an estimate for the work. Two of the companies refused to get the permit to do the work. Tumlin & Sons answered my questions, said they would obtain the permit for the job, and scheduled the work in a timely manner. They did an excellent job on the driveway. 
This is a shared driveway. I could not see the workers from my house so I made a point to go out to where they were working several times a day. The men working on the driveway seemed fine with my "checking out" what they were doing and with me asking questions. They were always polite.
As this is a shared driveway. I asked Tumlin & Sons to notify both of my neighbors ( who would be sharing the cost) of when the project would be started so they could move their cars. That was just in case something happened that I could not notify them.
Tumlin & Sons did notify all of us in a timely manner.

They did a fine job.  Everything was top notch.  Their price may have been a little bit high but I got what I paid for.  They’re busy because they’re good.  They’re small as well and so if anyone wants to use them, they will have to wait.  They’re not going to be able to come out right away because they do good work and so they’re in demand.  There was a good 2 months delay before they could probably start, but they were upfront about that. They took a long time to be able to get the job scheduled but it was because they were busy.  They were upfront about that and told me it was two or three months before they could get me on the schedule. So if someone is expecting them to give a bid and then come right out and do it, then they won’t be able to do that.  They’re not a large shop.  They fill up with work quickly because of the quality work they do. People need to wait until they are available to do the job.
