He came rigiht away after I called him and removed all that black stuff that was growing on the roof.    He came back a year later to check on it to make sure it was still clean, which it was. I think he might have called once since then to see if we needed a retreatment, which we haven't needed yet.

Report submitted by The Mrs... When I called Rick Bernecker about the debris, he was nasty and then hung up on me. He will not take responsibility for the broken blade in my leaf mulcher that was caused by a piece of roof debris that I didn't see. He argued that this kind of thing happens all the time and even had the gall to argue that I was a "cheap" job, but they would have charged me over $700 if I hadn't paid them in cash. And then he said that since I had paid with cash, there wasn't even proof that they did this job, but I did get a receipt! Not only that, but they took the remaining paint and other materials with them that I had paid for, without giving me any credit towards them.

We wanted the black stuff off the roof because it looked nasty. I checked Angie's List to see who could do this service and who was well-recommended. I chose Bernecker's. I called the number and talked with Rick Bernecker himself. He came out the next day to give me an estimate and then returned on a day when the weather was suitable, which happened to be October 7th.

I was really pleased with them.

Very flexible with an aggressive time schedule. Showed up on time and did a fine job with the roof cleaning. While he was on the roof he also repaired some loose shingles. Very courteous and professional.

We first saw the company's ad in our local suburban paper. We checked them in Angie's List and noticed they had received "A"s in the reports. They did not disappoint. We only wish we'd found them years ago. Between the initial phone call and time of appointment, everything was handled quickly. Our 18-year-old roof looks like it is brand new. We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the work and the time service provided by the company.

House is in heavily wooded area, portions of the roof very susceptible to mold and mildew. Good job, roof looks great. Plan to have him back regularly.

The experience was very good, they did a good job. They haven't had to come back. I would use them again in the future and I would recommend them to others as well.

Mr. Bernecker came over and gave us an estimate to clean and seal our roof. We called him and he was over about 1 week later for the estimate. He went up on our roof and checked it out. He said he thought we had at least a good 10 years left on our roof. He mailed an estimate for us to sign and we mailed it back immediately. He called and scheduled a time to do the job. When he was finished, our roof looked brand new. I am so glad we called him. It is now 3 months later and I am so happy we didn't waste money to get a new roof. Excellent. I highly recommend this company.

They were professional and timely with the service provided. They also provided references and a copy of liability insurance when I requested these before I signed the contract.

He did an excellent job. He was on the roof for four hours, cleaning, applying the fungicide, and sealing the roof. He cleaned up afterwords, pressure washing the patio and side walks where the debris fell. The roof and gutters look like new.

Great! My 15 year old roof which I thought I would have to replace is now nearly new looking. Huge change of appearance. Money well spent.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB CLEANING MY ROOF, AND PUT ON A SPECIAL FUNGICIDE TO PREVENT FUTURE FUNGUS AND MILDEW. OUR ROOF LOOKS LIKE NEW AFTER 20 YEARS. HE REALLY KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING.
