Great Job!!

Owner Chris was very responsive to my initial request on Angie’s List and throughout the 3 day project. The crew Nick, Dan, and Chris were punctual, efficient, professional, courteous and could not have asked for a better team! I was working on a separate project and Nick even loaned me his mitre saw to help me!! I could not give these guys and Tri State Painting a high enough recommendation. Just excellent.

If you are looking for a professional company that does an excellent job of painting as well as being very conscious of things like cracks, uneven walls, calking issues, nail pops, nail holes, things that if you merely painted over would still look bad, then this is your company to hire. My house looks better now then it did 12 years ago when we built it. They did a beautiful job and well as great clean up from painting and sanding. This IS the company for you! Can't tell you how happy we are!

The painting went well with Chris doing everything as I had stated. He gave me choices on hardware shapes, and finishes. He was always polite and personable and knows the job well. He explained each step to be done. Chris is easy to like and gains your trust very soon. I will call him again for my painting needs.

Chris and his team were super thorough when they painted my home. They took extra time to ensure that 13 years of warping/shifting from our house settling was hardly noticeable. They say that painting is far more about preparation than the actual painting, and these guys do an awesome job with the prep.

I could not be happier with the work performed by Tri State Painting! Chris, Nick and the team were very professional and friendly! Their work is top-notch quality. They painted our entire home inside and out, and it looks beautiful! Our kitchen cabinets turned out amazing! They had great attitudes the whole project which was quite lengthy - even when I changed my mind on the island cabinet color from dark blue to white! We had hardwood floors installed prior to the painting project, and Chris and the team were very careful not to damage the floors. They even watched over other workers coming in and out of our home helping to ensure the floors and walls were not damaged. They were great cleaning up after work was performed each day also. I would absolutely hire them again!

Removed wallpaper in Family Room that had been applied directly to the drywall. The team was able to remove the wallpaper much quicker and easier than we expected. Fantastic job patching the Family Room and Kitchen (which previously had wallpaper removed). Great job priming wallpapered walls and painting ceilings and walls in both rooms. Estimated for time and cost was right on target. Great job with cover-up and clean-up. Team always on time. Communication can be a bit challenging. Scheduler was difficult to reach and calls to office generally required leaving message on voicemail. Highly recomended for the work performed...especially for wallpaper removal and drywall patching. We will be using them again for future projects.

Very well. There were 2-3 painters every day for four days to complete the work needed. They were all skilled painters and very neat. Everything looks great! The work done on the family room ceiling required removal of the existing textured surface and capping off a recessed light fixture prior to priming and painting and those tasks were performed well also.

What we anticipated the project taking a good two days to complete, was done, and done well, in one day by one person, Nick. He was prompt, professional, and particular with his attention to detail. We are very pleased with the completed work and clean up.

It went very well. One of the 2 painters didn't show up, but the owner actually came out in their place and they still put in the time/effort. Would definitely recommend.

They got started a day later then was scheduled but this communicated well before. Although, we tried to stay out of their way it is tough to quell the curiosity of toddlers and the employees were very accommodating of that fact and were awesome with my girls. Everything turned out very well. Very trustworthy. 100% would recommend.

The crew was very professional and nice to be around. They arrived on time and finished early. There was a follow up to ensure that we were happy with their work. I would definitely hire them again.

Accommodateing painters. Great work. Job took longer than expected but only because the painters wanted a quality product.

The 3 man crew was punctual and very professional. Their goal was to make this house look new and they certainly met that goal. I really didn’t think it would turn out so beautiful! Those painters didn’t stop- they worked the entire time they were here! I would recommend them to anyone!

Chris is wonderful to work with and is a perfectionist! He does a final walk-through once the job is complete and takes care of any imperfections. His crew works diligently and puts in long days. Chris guarantees his work and we highly recommend him.

The work went great! Chris was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Nick and his crew were very professional and clean. Very friendly group to work with.

I have hired many people over the years from various professions and I have to say that Nick and Kyle of Tri State Painting were the most professional, punctual, friendly, hard working, speedy, with TOP QUALITY RESULTS out of any of these professionals. I am SO VERY THRILLED to have found them and will hire them again. The only negative was in the scheduling to get them onsite (about 3mos later than desired but that may have been a glitchy anomaly for them?). That said, I would wait a year to get these guys back instead of lesser profesional and/or poor quality workers sooner! I only wish they did electrical, plumbing, carpentry...etc as well!

The work done was very professional and exceeded our expectations. The crew was very detailed oriented and spent most of their time prepping the house and fixing problem areas. I have had other painters do the entire house and Tri State exceeded their work by far. The work ethic of the entire crew was very high. I was very pleased with the entire job.

The work crew was excellent. They completed the work in a reasonable time, replaced all the rotted window sills and even cleaned all the windows! We have a large Tudor home with several highly peaked roof areas. The work must have been of some difficulty knowing it was also difficult when we had roofing done several years ago. The crew was polite, cleaned up very well and always stayed in contact with us. I would highly recommend them and would use them again with no hesitation.

There are 2 parts to this answer. I'll first start with the actual work. Nick and his crew were professionals. Nick was very nice and overall, they did a great job with the painting! The paint job completely freshened up the house. Even where the original paint would be hard to cover. I would definitely use their skills again. There were areas where they were careless and paint was splattered onto my glasses and plates in my kitchen cabinets. When they moved my refrigerator back, they broke/loosened the water line so I had water dripping into the basement. Luckily the basement is unfinished and I was there later in the day to catch it or it could have been a major issue. There were no apologies from the owner. He just blamed the water line being too fragile. Business - communication with Chris the owner was a nightmare. First, It took almost 2 weeks to receive a written quote (granted it was very detailed), but I had to email twice and ask for it. Didn't seem like he cared about the job even though it was what I thought was a big job. Although I appreciate his detailed pricing, I felt like he nickle and dime me for everything. $22 for plastic that is reused at every job and a bunch of other stuff...With that said, I still hired him so obviously, I thought his overall pricing was fair. I would have to follow-up with him several times on multiple communications before he would bother responding. And when he did, he wouldn't always answer all of my questions. Very frustrating when you are trying to coordinate everything. When the job was finished, he didn't even tell me. I followed up with him one day and he said they had finished 4 days ago. He initiated no contact. All communication was initiated by myself. There were other things too, but nothing major. Overall, my decision was based on his pricing and other user's comments on the work itself. To me the frustration was worth the money and finished product. Just wish he acted like the customer was important to his business. It's too bad because Chris seemed like a really nice guy. I would recommend the company with a caveat and have already done so.
