I got bids from two or three other contractors before talking to Tom. He was referred by a friend. Tom was great to work with and the bathroom remodel turned out really well. It took a little longer than expected but we weren't in a huge hurry so that was fine. What I really liked is that Tom's bid was quite clear and gave me enough information that I could make selections in the right price range to keep my actual costs in line with the bid. Tom's subcontractors were all nice to work with and Tom did everything he could to make it easy for me.
There are only a couple of things I wish were different. The first is the way the showerhead sits in the shower isn't comfortable for me (I'm 5'3and quot;.) It sprays too high in the shower so I end up standing right next to the glass. I think that should have been taken into account at Ferguson's, where I bought the shower hardware. They didn't ask much about the size of the shower or talk about how one shower head angle might work compared to another. I'm still solving the problem. Tom did try to make it better but we've gone back to the original setup. Not Tom's fault, but it's an area I could have used some help in. I was otherwise quite pleased with the help I got at Ferguson's.
The second is a problem with the cabinets that was not Tom's problem but rather Home Depot's problem. Tom installed cabinets that I ordered from Home Depot and the quality of the glaze isn't good and I'm having the doors replaced.
The bathroom has a lot of tile - floor, shower, and some of the wall by the tub - and it turned out beautifully. All of the plumbing was done very well and I have no worries about leaks. Tom made sure we had new pipes and shut-off valves etc. so the bathroom is like new.
Bottom line - he did high quality work and was very easy to work with, responsive when I had questions, and an all-around great guy.

It was fantastic. Absolutely excellent. He's a custom builder and he worked wit us to design the whole thing inspect he cost and he was here everyday to take care of our needs. We finished up around May or June of last year. We spent about $35000 with him.

Tom took care of the project from the beginning. He was onsite daily making sure that his workers or subs did as planned/promised.
The earth moving required a change in plan as we really needed to take some of the dirt offsite. So, at the last moment we had them take 12 truckloads away which made a big difference.
The concrete was done as planned, on time and schedule.
The old roof, (standard roof on an existing garage) was carefully partially removed. Then the skylights were relocated to higher up on the roof, and finally the new roof structure was built. This is a very strong structure designed for strong winds. It includes a beautiful stained beadboard ceiling which great ceiling fans and 6 can lights.
The electrician did a wonderful job hooking up all of the electric including our pool lights and new pool heater with outdoor sockets to use under the porch.
The final job was the new handrails which were added to the sidewalk leading up to the pool.
This job took some time, but turned out fantastic. Tom took care of us, and was our single point of contact. Whenever we had questions or changes, he took it all in stride and kept us happy, and incorporated the changes quickly at and a reasonable price.
He is a great guy to work with.

He does an excellent job. He is very customer service oriented. We were extremely happy with our results. He has good subcontractors. There was always someone here if he had a subcontractor working to greet and get things set up. We were extremely satisfied. He did a great job.

He was excellent. He was on time, congenial, straightforward and honest. He actually came back 5 years after he built the home and repaired a leak in a window free of charge because he thought it might have been installed improperly the first time. I would highly recommend him and I would build again with him in a heartbeat.
