Mr. Sutton came in and first of all he installed the cheapest things that he could possibly find. The doorbell was an example. We just took down it, threw it out, and bought another one. However, we paid for the one that he put in and the labor charge for installing it. We spent over three quarters of a million on our house, so it is not a cheap house. We spent almost $30000 on the electrical work, which was complete wiring of the house. He put in some track lighting over an island in the kitchen. There were hundreds of pieces in the track lighting. He took them out, spread them all over the living room floor, and didn’t know what to do. He left them there for a couple of weeks. We finally gathered them all up, put them in a box, and hired somebody else that wasn’t even an electrician who put it up just fine for us. We wound up paying Mr. Sutton for all the time that he spent doing nothing on it. We have a carpentry workshop, which is a large room of 14 x 30. We soundproofed it putting in a double layer of ceiling with stuff in between the floor joists and the top ceiling. We insulated all the studs so that we could put up wallboard without transmitting. We spent over $2000 on the whole lot for sound insulation. We bought some special lights that show daylight rather than the normal light output of lamps and then went to have him put it in the places that were marked on the ceiling where they can go. He just took a screwdriver and punched holes in the ceiling leaving big holes for him to pull his wires through. Of course when we have big holes there is sound transmittal, so we had to patch up all the holes that he had created. He didn’t patch them himself. The lights in the master bedroom kept going off. They are not ground fault interrupters. They are something new for bedrooms similar to ground fault interrupters. It kept tripping, so we told him he had to fix it. He agreed that he would have to. At that point, the walls were all up and painted. The house was ready to move in. He said in order to find out where it is tripping he has to punch walls and make holes in all the walls to pull out the boxes and look at. We thought he can’t do that, so my son-in-law and I tried to figure it ourselves. We went to the hardware shop before he could do anything. We tried buying a new circuit breaker and then put that in. Everything worked fine afterwards. We just had a defective circuit breaker. The work went on and on and on. We had a very bad experience with him. We wouldn’t recommend using him. We won’t use him again in the future.
Description of Work: We used the services of Mr. Mark Sutton of TC Electrical Services Inc in October of 2011. We built a house from the ground up, so we started off by hiring an architect, looking for land, and got a general contractor. The general contractor did most of the subcontracting work including Mr. Mark Sutton, and we did some of it ourselves. Mr. Sutton installed a cheap doorbell that we threw out. He did complete wiring of the house and put in some track lighting over an island in the kitchen for us. He installed some special lights that show daylight. His attempt to repair a defective circuit breaker was unsuccessful even after several times. We got that fixed ourselves by buying a buying a new circuit breaker.
