SNIDER ROOFING

Snider rec'd cardboard baffels to life insulation to allow air flow TO NON EXISTENT SOFFIT VENTS. Conversed w. 3 people at Snider: none understood fans, roofline vent, larger gable vents, etc. are all solutions less difficult than cutting holes in boards to create soffits. My gut said "Run Away!"

They were pleasant enough. We talked to him on the phone and set an appointment for December 7, 2011 to have them come out to give us an estimate for several apparent roof leaks. We had to go away that day for a doctor?s appointment and told him we would be home by 4:00 pm. We asked that he come after 4:00 p.m. so that he could access the attic to locate the leak(s). When we arrived home we found an estimate ($975.00) obviously based on a visual inspection. We did not sign the proposal or pay any money up front. Because we felt the estimate was quite high we proceded to get several other estimates. About a week or two later on a Saturday, workers just showed up at our home. We turned them away. Needless to say, we were quite unhappy with them for just showing up. If someone from their office had called us before they sent their crew out this issue could have been avoided. The repairs were made by another contractor to our satisfaction. On Monday, March 4 we were shocked to received an invoice for $975.00 from Snider Roofing for "work completed". We are extremely dissatisfied with our experience with them. We have sent them a certified letter directing them to void the invoice and that we would be notifying Angie's List of our continued experience. The certified letter was never claimed by Snider Roofing at the post office and was returned to me on March 9th. Approximately 3 weeks ago (May) I received a call from Snider Roofing asking to speak to my sister Janna. After telling the person that my sister had passed away in April and that Snider Roofing had not performed the work she said they would not contact me again. Yesterday, June 6th, I received another invoice from them for $975. I am furious with this business, have sent them a non-certified letter, and am giving them an "F".
