Tom was fantastic throughout the process. During the initial phone call, he did his best to talk me thru fixing the problem to forego a trip charge. However, the issue needed more. He was easy to get scheduled, and arrived on time. He meticulously went thru figuring out the problem, explaining what he was doing the whole time. He corrected the wiring connections on the GFCI, and then had to carefully trace and check the circuit going to the lamp post, where power was still out. By running a new temporary line to the post, he was able to conclusively determine that the issue was with the underground wiring installed by a local handyman. This was incorrectly done. Tom then went over a variety of options and recommended I seek out a company with the right equipment to correct the issue. While the post light still isn’t working, I now know why it’s not, and the garage outlets connected to the GFCI switch all work. He also diagnosed an issue inside concerning a bathroom light and fan, offering to fix the fan (the light turned out to be good), or showing me how I could do the job myself. I opted to change out the fan myself. He pointed out how to change out the electrical connecting pigtail as well. Tom was the most professional and helpful electrician I’ve had out, and I will definitely use him again when I need an electrician. He has my highest recommendation.

If I could give Radin Electric a higher rating I would. Professional, On time, courteous, Cleaned up afterwards. Tom, also gave me some sound advice regarding my Ceiling Fan. I took his advice and about the dimmer and speed control switches and i couldn't be happier. Better yet, my wife is thrilled with the results. Our fan was 17' from floor to ceiling. He had the equipment and the ladder to complete the jobs within hours. Great Job Tom and Joe.

once thye determined what was need ,then repair process began including proper mounting and wiring checks and some clipping for safety, I didn't even no about,and this was all done fast and frendley,i just stayed outa the way,to let em work,im verey impressed with the work done,and verey fare,trustworthey company.

Everything went smooth! Tom is transparently honest, fair, and professional while offering reasonable pricing. He was punctual, got the jobs done with competent knowledge and skills, and finished on schedule. Tom was a welcomed "find" and now our "go to" electrician for any electrical needs we may have! On a side Note: When I originally called, I relayed that we had no electricity from 1 outside outlet and the garage. I thought this would be an involved project to correct. I had not even considered checking the GFC reset switch in the nearest bathroom. He advised over the phone and by the end of our conversation the electricity restored - no charge! Wish I had called him before creatively plugging in Christmas lights!! :-)

Very responsive. My house was without water due to a water heater failure and the installer wouldn't install it to the electric because the local building code had changed and my current electrical outlet was no sufficient. Tom came out same day and did the work. Extremely personable and the quality of the work was excellent. He did the work for a fair price and provided me with options with all the pros and cons. I would definitely recommend this Company.

In addition to being very knowledgable and proficient, Tom and his assistant Joe are guided by one principle rarely found nowadays - integrity. Their craftsmanship is of the highest quality. It went great. I was given an estimate, they did their job and stuck to the estimate even though they forgot to charge for the network cables themselves and the work took them longer than expected. The programmable timer was an after thought, Tom swung by a store and bought two different timers for us to check out and we picked one. There was great attention to details, even small things like all the switch plate screws line up. Even on our painted plate that we had a dimmer put in, screws were lined up to keep with the painting. Pendant light had a gap on the adjustable tube for hanging and the swivel hole was aligned to face the rear rather than in the room. That's all difficult to get from any company these days.
We bought most of the stuff ahead of time, there were a couple of issues with the switches we chose. First, the color, we though it was ivory, but it turns out our old switches used to be white actually. Tom got that corrected for us. Two other switches were not compatible with LED bulbs, Tom took care of that for us too. With all instances here, we understood his markup of the parts, so we could have bought them ourselves, or bought from his inventory. The brands were the same and we made our choice, no real pressure there.
Tom's colleague, Joe, was a decent individual too. You could tell they were friends and used to doing this type of work and thinking through a variety of rough spots leftover from previous electricians.
We will be using Radin Electric again for our next round of work.
For the pricing, I was actually expecting more, so was pleasantly surprised. The cost savings here can now be applied to the next set of items on our list.

Tom helped us trouble-shoot some wiring in our house. We called him to put in a GFI in our bathroom and to either locate the doorbell wiring or re-wire the doorbell if necessary. Within minutes, Tom was able to find the existing wiring of the wired doorbell with his equipment even though it was hidden behind the walls. Tom helped us decide the best place to put our GFI for the bathroom and discussed options for moving an existing GFI in a different bathroom. He also installed tamper resistant outlets in certain areas of the house and new switches. He did a thorough job and didn't rush through the project. He answered all of our questions and was very professional.

I was having trouble with my cable box and my 50inch tv. When I hooked up hdmi from cable to back of tv sparks were flying. I deceded then that I needed an electricition. Mr . Radin checked basement electric box and then replaced plug . I liked the way he would explain each thing he was doing. He even checked my lines outside and repaired side box so there wouid be no leakage of water. Lately I have had some real doozy's to repair things. Mr. Radin even asked if I needed help moving TV bcause it was heavy.IFrom now on I will use Angie's list. So far the plumbing and electriction were excellent with no complaints.

Tom and Bob arrived on time. Tom checked the heat lamp switch and than checked the
circuit bracker one was off and not marked he decided to flip the switch which solved that problem. The ceiling light had some sockets that would not work. He said that it needed to be replaced. It was replaced and also replaced two more ceiling lights so that they matched the first replacement. As an after thought I ask Tom if he would check two ceiling fans that when in use were very wobbly. The family room ceiling fan was improperly mounted. Tom made some adjustments and the fan is working beautifully. The ceiling fan in the office had to be replaced because some of the parts were missing and the parts were not available for replacement. we got a new ceiling fan installed it. Tom also fix the ceiling damage caused by the original fan. He did a professional job.Tom and Bob were very friendly, polite and professional. They were very helpful when I was selecting the ceiling lights and ceiling fans. It was a very pleasant experience and would use them again.

This is the third time I have used Radin Electric. I just moved into a new house and discovered that two electrical outlets were not working. I called Tom and he came out the next morning. One of the issues was a fairly simple one and the other was a little tricky. He had to be creative and think outside the box to determine why the other one was not working. He did figure out and corrected the problem. In addition, I asked him if he had time to replace a couple of other outlets. He agreed to stay (unplanned) and install the additional outlets. I am so pleased that we arranged for him to return in a few weeks to replace all of the remaining plugs and switches since the existing ones are beginning to discolor.

They showed up on time, said he would have 2 man with him. and be done by 4 pm. All went well and out the door by 3 to 3:30. Cleaned up no sign of them anywhere. Mr Radin made all plan for inspector and showed up with him and passed with no hang ups.It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Our son recently had work done by Radin Electric, owner Tom Radin. Tom had replaced 3 ceiling/light fans in their home. My son was impressed by the quality and attention to detail of the work performed by Tom.
When our post light failed, we contacted Tom to diagnose the problem. We decided to add more projects to our list as described in the 'services performed' section. Tom came to our home and gave us estimates on the spot as to what each job would cost. It was a pleasant encounter having Tom do all our electrical work. It was a days worth of work and we were highly satisfied and pleased with the ultimate outcome. With no doubt, we will have Tom continue to do any upcoming electrical work in our home and will recommend him 'highly' to our friends.
