Peru's Tree Service

Great, good service, prompt, courteous, good estimate.

Peru's Tree Service was fabulous! They trimmed up my maple and ash, and ground two stumps for $450. Last year another company charged me $850 to trim the same trees and take down two othersmall trees. This company did not grind the stumps. I would say that I got much more for my money from this company. They used a cherry picker on my maple, so it wasn't an easy job. My calls to schedule and confirm were answered within two hours. I am very pleased with the service and will use them next year.

Tree was growing toward the house, engulfed in ivy, with so many birds in the tree that it caused a mess on the walkway making it hard to allow my two year old to play in the yard. Jesus gave me the best price of the three I called from angies list. I was out of town when the work was done but looked great when I returned. I'm very happy to have the tree gone.

Steve came out within a day of calling at the time we agreed upon. Checked with me on what we wanted done, cut & left alone. I had 2 other appointments set up but was so impressed with Steve & the great price that we cancelled the other appointments. This was on June 7th. Due to the bizarre weather of rain, the job was not done till June 24th. with Peru calling to say they would be by at 8:30 AM, they came at 8:25AM. The crew moved all the plants in pots on the patio & under the trees and got to work. There are several hosta & fern plants at the base of all these trees & they did not step on any of them. They were done around 11:00, cleaned up the area & asked if we wanted them to put all the plants back in place. They were by far the most reasonable of the 8 estimates that I got and no one could have done a better job, they were TERRIFIC! A++

In mid April, I purchased the BIG DEAL offer thru Angie's List from Peru's Tree service - $99 for $ 200 worth of tree service. Before purchasing the deal, I checked out the company bio info and while they were based in Hamilton, Oh .... there was no restriction of area served either in the comapny bio or the offer description. I live in Northern Ky and I just wanted to get some general in- tree debri clean-up. After purchasing the deal - I was contacted promptly by Peru's staff - and then basically a 2 month - phone tag was started. Peru's ALWAYS returned my calls promptly - but we just could not connect. When Jesus and I finally talked in June ....he discussed the "learning" he received of not restricting the service area - as he ended up going out pretty wide in response to the coupon purchases . ( I have since learned that they now have an area served listed in their bio - confirmed by Angie's List contact as being updated recently ) At this point ( June ) he and I agreed - coming to NKY now for this one situation was not so feasible and he offered to return my $99. I had the feeling that if I persisted - Jesus would have come over as he and his company's customer service reputation is very important to him. I agreed to the refund and received the check in the mail yesterday. I will also be following up with Angie's List - to offer feedback on Big Deal offers to consider being clearer on the offer area involved. This particular situation has been resolved to my satisfaction with Peru's - but a lot of time and effort were basically wasted in a way for both myself and this company - and I still have tree debri to resolve.

I was really happy with them. I had a lot of people come out and give me an estimate and they were the lowest. The guy that was in charge worked really well with me. He explained and told me which tree needed to come down and which didn’t. He was a little bit more upfront than some of the other companies about the trees that didn’t need to come down. Some of the other companies asked me to get them all down and its fine. They had given me a 2 week window before they could start the work, but they were actually able to start it right away. I was really happy with that. I was definitely looking to find the lowest estimate which would work. I would use them again in the future if need be.

I purchased a "deal" for Angie's list last month, I called for a quote, Steve called to say he would be out, but he lost my address information, so we traded phone messages, then Jesus called with a verbal quote which I approved, and the crew was there within the hour and the job was promptly completed.I was impressed with the neatness of the crew and the job site.

I had an old spruce that I wanted to be taken out. They also trimmed some trees around the home. I kept on adding things and they were always able to accommodate me and also removed a 35 year old ash. They brought 5 men and they were all working hard. They were very professional. They left my yard cleaner then the way it was when they came. Everything was absolutely wonderful.

Jesus was very prompt in inspecting our trees, submitting his bid, and arriving on time the day work was scheduled. The crew was polite, professional, and thorough with the work, including clean up.

They were very professional in there work and manner. They came on time and exceeded our expectations. We were please with the job that they performed and there estimate is what we paid.

they were taking out a dead tree, and we weren't home b/c we trusted them. I got a phone call from Jesus, saying that a tree we cut down we broke a limb on another tree, so we pruned up the other limbs on the other pine tree. We got home and saw that half the tree was gone. We ended up having him remove that tree for a price that we set. he wasn't happy about the price, but agreed to do it. They ended up ruining our beautiful pine tree in our yard. Also, when they ground the stumps they didn't cover anything, and so sawdust got all over house and property. The next time we asked him to be more cleanly, and he said his excuse was that he didn't charge us very much for those previous jobs. But he's very reasonable and they usually do pretty good work, but we just had those few mishaps. You literally get what you pay for.

It all went perfectly well in spite of this terrible rainy season. We called, they came, they gave a very affordable quote, they came back and did the whole job between rain storms. They also called they day before they came to do the work to say they would be here the next day, weather permitting. Great job.!

They did a good job. They did exactly what I wanted.

The tree was close to the house and to overhead cables, but the crew managed beautifully. They had to remove a section of my fence but that was put back and items in the yard were restored to their usual location when they finished. I was a bit surprised the sawdust pile from the stump wasn't removed, and the torn up parts of the lawn were not stamped down flat again, but the cost savings were well worth it. I would definitely use them again.

He was on time. It cost what they said it would. He was friendly.

Everything went great; the bid was the lowest of the three; they showed up on time; cut down the oak tree without damaging anything; and did a great job cleaning up. They moved a sitting bench and two bird baths to ensure no damage could occur while doing the job. They used all the safety equipment to ensure no one was hurt. I suggested by brother-in-law get a bid for some trees he wanted worked on and he also hired them!

Jesus returned my call promptly and came out the same day to give me an estimate. He told me on the phone that they were very busy because of all the storm damage, but as I indicated that a part of the tree was blocking the street he would come right away and at least get the limb out of the street. He was there a few hours after returning my call, gave me the estimate which was very reasonable, and true to his word, proceeded to cut up the limb in the street with a small chain saw and stack the pieces. He apologized that they would not be able to remove the entire tree until the next day because the extensive damage around town. Nick was there the next day, got right to work. Soon the tree and it's stump were history. He was very careful to move the heavy equipment on the road or walkway instead of my lawn so as not to damage any of my in-ground sprinkler heads. He saw to it that the area where the tree had been was thoroughly cleaned up before leaving, asking me to inspect it to be sure it met with my satisfaction. All in all they were terrific to work with, not promising anything they couldn't do and doing everything they promised. I highly recommend this company to anyone.

Jesus called me back within a few hours of requesting an estimate. He stopped by and gave us the estimate the same day. A few days later, we decided we needed additional work and asked him to modify the estimate. He stopped by the following morning (Saturday) and gave us another estimate. We were put on the schedule for the following Wed. The team showed up on time in the AM and completed the work before noon. They did a beautiful job on the trees and in cleaning up. I was amazed that they did that much work without leaving a mess behind. We had planned to remove only one tree and prune our large maple, but Jesus noted that the tree was unhealthy and hollow inside (we suspected the tree was not doing too well) and called me to recommended that we take the tree down for safety. He made time in his already tightly scheduled day to do the additional work of taking down the maple for an additional few hundred dollars - something that ended up saving us the cost of an additional visit. All in all, a wonderful experience with this company.

We had a large oak tree fall on our house, during a thunderstorm, damaging our roof and sending us into a state of panic. With our computer down, we pulled out the phone book and said a little prayer. Several companies advertised 24 hr emergency service, but Peru's was the only company that didn?t ring straight to an answering machine. A very nice woman answered the phone and paged the owner (Jesus) immediately. Within minutes Jesus called back to let us know he was on the way. We weren't sure if they?d be able to do much, but he arrived with 4 employees and equipment to start working right away. They were able to remove most of the branches to stabilize the tree and tarp up the roof to hold us through the night. The trunk of the tree was too large/heavy to remove without a crane, but they reassured us they would come back with a crane as soon as possible. The next morning Jesus called to let us know they?d be out that afternoon with the crane. They did an amazing job removing the tree and managed to pull it off our house without doing any more damage. Everyone in the neighborhood came out to watch the show and we were all incredibly impressed with the work that Peru's did. When they were finished they went through our yard and raked up all the debris. They even used a leaf blower on the roof before covering it back up with tarp. If it wasn?t for the large blue tarp covering our roof, you would never know anything had happened. Jesus and the people at Peru's went above and beyond what we would have ever expected from a tree company. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. We won't hesitate to recommend their services to anyone and everyone we know. They are fantastic!

He came to the house and gave us a quote within an hour of calling him. The crew removed the tree a few days later. They were quick and professional, and they left the whole area very clean.

Estimator was prompt and conducted himself as a professional. However, I did not avail this company of their services.

A branch fell from a tree onto my neighbor's roof. Since the tree was alive, the neighbor's renter cut the branch off the tree and suggested he was concerned about more branches falling. I eventually was able to contact the homeowner to get them to sign off on cutting the tree, since it was so close to the property line. By then I had an estimate from Peru's, including wood removal. I requested an estimate for just cutting the tree and leaving it for me to cut up, which they provided. This looked good to me and was comparable to or lower than other estimates I had, so I called to set up the work. Their trimmer was going to be out of town for a week. When he got back in town, we scheduled the work and it was completed 3 days later. They made sure any branches were removed from the neighbor's yard and showed up on the day of the appointment even earlier than we had plannexcd. I was happy with the professionalism and the work done.
