"[Member Information Removed], Your review contains loads of false information. Miami Heating & Cooling installed this system for the previous owner of the house and we completed the work on April 20th, 2022 where you purchased/took possession of the house on May 22nd, 2022. The HVAC system, was operating in heating mode when we completed it. We were then called out at the end of May, when our technician found that your air filter was extremely dirty and had not been changed (typically regular maintenance by the homeowner). Our technician asked if you had a new filter to replace it with since he didn't have a replacement filter on his van at the time (he had no problem finding the filter slot... likely a miscommunication between you and the technician). We received another call stating that the AC was not cooling and returned on June 16th, where we used OUR hose to clean off the air conditioner that had become covered with cottonwood tree seeds and it was at that time that we had to recover a small amount of refrigerant from the system to get it running at peak performance (when we were there previously, the outdoor temperatures were too low to get an accurate refrigerant pressure reading to properly adjust the factory charge). You were charged for the trip and the coil cleaning (which you did not pay). These were legitimate charges since the filter and unit accumulated the dirt and cottonwood seeds after our initial installation was completed for the previous owner. We take pride in our work, and taking care of our customers is our top priority."
They did honor the 10% discount for referral from AngiesList, but the reason I knocked price to a B was I found out about the $70 service call fee after the tech was onsite, and not when when I called. Service was good and I don't mind paying it, but would have preferred to know in advance.

Our policy is and always has been to have up front pricing on all of our work. The $70 diagnostic fee is normally explained by our office staff over the phone before any technicians are dispatched. We apologize for any misunderstanding about that and look forward to serving you again in the future."
