EUGENIO SHOE REPAIR & ORTHO

Dropped off shoe on May 30, was informed that it would be ready for pickup on Wednesday. I went to pick it up on Friday, June 6. The guy could not find my sandal. He asked me what was being done, I said the Velcro needed to be stitched onto strap. At this point, it's been 5 minutes and still no shoe. I asked for the shoe back and that I would try to repair it myself with some fabric glue from Joann Fabrics. He went nuts. Said that if I can fix it from something that I bought from Joann Fabrics that I would have a job there. Another 5 minutes has gone by with him explaining to be that it was not done because he missed "1" day of work. I said no problem but I want my shoe. He then went on to say that it takes 10-14 days to stitch the shoe. I said fine, why did you tell me that it would be done on Wednesday? I want my shoe. Finally my shoe is found, and yelling that it says to pick it up on the 30th. I then grabbed the shoe and as I was leaving he yells don't come back here. I won't .

He repaired the boots exactly as requested, in a timely manner and inexpensively.

Took my wife's favorite shoes in for a repair estimate, as one of the heel plates had come off.

Had my young boys with me, and we waited at the counter for several minutes. He finally shuffles towards us

from somewhere in the back. He greeted us with and quot;What do you have?and quot; His next comments as I asked if he could repair the shoes

were, and quot;These shoes are junkand quot;.... and quot;I only deal in quality materialsand quot;.....and quot;This is a Professional Shopand quot;. I made the mistake of asking

again if he could repair them.....he raised his hand and stated I shouldn't even ask such a question, as again, I was standing in a

Professional shop...?? Huh?

At this point I snatched the shoe back, and while bagging it up, he said and quot;Don't come backand quot;. No problem there.

If you seek rudeness, lack of professionalism, and enjoy the company of pompous store owners, then Eugenio Shoe Repair is the place for you. As for me, I'll go barefoot and hop on one leg for the rest of my life before stepping foot in Eugenio's again.

Eugenio told me that the stitching repair might not be able to be performed because of where it was on the boot as well as a rigid insert around the heel that might possibly break the needle, but he would give a try. I was very pleased with the repair he made. He is obviously a master of his craft.
The pair of boots had soles and heels replaced. Again the work was well crafted. The boots took on a second life thanks to Eugenio.
