BARNES ELECTRIC

We were very pleased with the work! Mr. Barnes and Charlie worked together, discussing the measures to be taken. Within about an hour, the work was completed. We were so pleased with their work, we hired them to return the following week to install an outside outlet and and quot;bubbleand quot; cover for our patio and yard tool needs! That work was done with the same expertise. We will certainly call Barnes Electric if more electrical work is to be done!-:)

I called Barnes Electric on Tuesday, 4/15/14 and Mr. Barnes answered my call immediately and came out that same day to give me an estimate on the work needed. His estimate was over $300.00 LESS than other estimates I had already gotten, and he was doing more work! (He actually was the one that suggested we install the GFI in our kitchen as we did not currently have one.) I told them they had the job and he and Charlie came to perform the work two days later, on Thursday, 4/17/14. They arrived right on time and immediately got to work.
We are updating our 1955 kitchen and had decided to convert the previously electric cooktop to gas. A plumber had already been out to run the gas line, but we were told we needed a 120v outlet to be installed inside the cabinet under the cooktop so the controls could be plugged in. There was already a 220 outlet there for the old cooktop, and this needed to be capped and the old wiring removed. Charlie actually moved the old 220 box and located it inside the cabinet wall so that it would no longer protrude into the cabinet; he also installed the new 120 outlet next to it. He then moved an existing outlet which controls the exhaust fan and light over the cooktop. This outlet was located in the wall directly above the cooktop and was not to code. He relocated this outlet to the wall next to the cooktop and re-ran all the wiring. He next installed a new GFI outlet adjacent to our kitchen sink - this outlet also has a light switch that controls the light above the sink.
Charlie performed the actual work and did an awesome job. He came prepared with everything needed to do the job and did the work quickly, efficiently, and expertly. They were very respectful of my home, kept mess to a minimum and left the work area clean and tidy when they were finished. And they were super nice to my nosy dog, Noah, who barked at them almost the entire time they were here. I am extremely pleased with the work they performed, and will definitely use them again when I need electrical work done.

They were always prompt and very professional. They did exactly what we asked them and they made suggestions when we didn't what we were talking about. They did a lot of things that I would have not thought to ask. We had several estimates and their price is significantly less than the other estimates were. They are our go to electricians.

We were very pleased with the work. We were able to make an appointment quickly and they were on time. Figuring out the external lights took a little work because it wasn't clear where the circuit was damaged, but they did this quickly and efficiently. Afterwards, I asked them to look at installing a vanity light in the bathroom, which they did on the spot and at no extra cost.

Very thorough, clean, complete job. Did not feel like I was being taken. Nice, honest, friendly people to have working in the house. In fact, we are having them back this friday for some additional work.
