DWYER CONCRETE LIFTING

They put in steel beams to keep our garage from falling in. They did this job during a winter season, and did an excellent job overall.

Their service and work were just ok. I had scheduled a date for the work to get done and several weeks later they called to say they had to reschedule, pushing the job out by another month. They did arrive on time the day of the job and where pleasent to me, however, while the guys were working in the basement I could hear them swearing all day long through out the first floor of my house. Good thing my son was at school. They broke one of my cardinal no-nos and used some of my tools they found in the basement to help get the job done. This included the use of one my fans to vent the cement dust to the outside. After they left I found a few problems with their work and a broken drain pipe on my heater and called to have them fix them. They did come out on two different occasions to fix the problems but I'm not at all confident that their work is up to par and it's definately a "that's as good as we can get it" company instead of a "this is the proper, correct and best way to do it" company.

They are wonderful. I received them from a friend who recommended them highly. They came and did the job very well. It's amazing to me that they can do that.

Estimate was done in a timely manner and the price was only sightly larger than what we were estimating. We had to call and schedule our dates though (no one called us back in the first week). Then we had to call two separate crews for the two different jobs. The first crew (back porch job) canceled the night before. The second crew (front porch) didn't show up at all (even after several promises that they were 'on their way'). Finally rescheduled both jobs the next week. The front porch job was done well and the back porch job could not be completed because the estimator thought the job could be done without piers. We were promised a reduction in price which the crew was unaware of and had to call in to confirm. The front porch is fine, but only because of the price reduction was it worth it.

They were fabulous and did what we expected. The price was good. They did what they said. They were in and out, and easy to work with. The neighbors liked them so much they ended up calling them for work.

Did a good job of raising sidewalk that had settled. My only complaint is they failed to show on the day agreed & when I called at 4:15, they told me they couldn't come out until the following week. When the job was done, I was satisfied. It is much cheaper than replacing the walkway. The process leaves a 2-inch round patch in each slab that is less conspicuous after a few weeks of curing. The office staff is courteous & the work crew was pleasant & receptive. Overall, I thought it was a good value. I think their minimum charge is $350, but they offered a discount when I mentioned Angie's List.

THE SIGNED CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZATION TO BEGIN THE WORK WAS SOMEHOW LOST AFTER WE MAILED IT TO THE COMPANY. AFTER A FEW PHONE CALLS TO DWYER THEY ACCEPTED A FAXED COPY. THE ACTUAL LEVELING WENT WELL AND WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS. A COMPANY REP LEFT A MESSAGE AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED TO GET FEEDBACK. I DID CALL THE REP BACK AS ONE OF THE CONCRETE PADS WAS A BIT LOOSE AND OUR GARDEN HOSE THAT WAS USED IN THE PROCESS WAS BENT AT THE NOZZLE CREATING A LEAK. THE REP DID NOT RETURN OUR CALL. IN THE END, I WAS ABLE TO FIX THE CONCRETE BLOCK MYSELF. THE PRICE WAS THE MOST COMPETITIVE OUT OF THE 3 COMPANIES THAT PLACED A BID.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH DWYER WAS A GOOD ONE. FOR THE INITIAL QUOTE, THE GENTLEMAN ARRIVED EXACTLY AT THE APPOINTED TIME. FOR THE ACTUAL WORK, THEY GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE OF WHEN THEY WOULD ARRIVE, AND THEY WERE THERE WITHIN AN HOUR OF THAT. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. THE JOB WAS COMPLETED QUICKLY, AND THEY DID NOT DAMAGE ANY OF MY LANDSCAPING. THEY ASKED ME TO COME OUT AND LOOK AT THE WORK BEFORE THEY STARTED TO PUT EVERYTHING AWAY, AND MADE SURE THAT I WAS SATISFIED AND HAD NO QUESTIONS. I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN, AND I WOULD REFER OTHERS TO USE THEM.

DWYER CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. I CHECKED IT WITH A LEVEL. THE ONLY PROBLEM THAT I HAD WAS THAT THEY DID NOT CLOSE MY GATE WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF LIFTING AND SLOPING THE CONCRETE FOR DRAINING THE RAIN. THEY WERE PROMPT AND EFFICIENT IN THEIR WORK.

THEY RESPONDED WITH AN ESTIMATE QUICKLY. THEIR ESTIMATE WAS THE LOWEST OF THE COMPANIES I CHECKED. THEY DID THE WORK WITHIN ABOUT A MONTH. A MONTH LATER I NOTICED CRACKING IN THE REPAIRED FOUNDATION. I HAVE CALLED FOUR TIMES OVER A PERIOD OF TWO WEEKS TO HAVE THEM EVALUATE THE PROBLEM. EACH TIME I AM TOLD THAT SOMEONE WILL CALL ME BACK. I'M STILL WAITING! SO MUCH FOR THEIR LIFETIME WARRANTY.

THEIR COMMUNICATION WAS GOOD, AND THEY DID A FOLLOW UP TWO WEEKS LATER.

THE WORK CREW WAS VERY NICE AND EFFICIENT AND DID THE JOB IN A VERY SHORT TIME. WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH HOW THE SYSTEM WORKED, AS WERE THE OTHER WORKMEN THAT WERE THERE. THE COMPANY CALLED ON 6/29 TO SETUP AN APPT. ON 7/5 AND THE CREW WAS ON TIME. THE SALESMAN WAS AT OUR HOME (APRIL 29TH) AND WE WHEN SIGNED THE CONTRACT HE STATED THAT ONE OF THE TRUCKS WAS DOWN AND IT WOULD BE SOMETIME AT THE END OF MAY BEFORE THE WORK COULD BE COMPLETED. THIS WAS UNDERSTANDABLE, BUT NOT TO HAVE THE WORK DONE UNTIL THE FIRST WEEK OF JULY IS NOT! WE HAD COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN ABOUT THIS COMPANY AND HAD STARTED TO THINK ABOUT ANOTHER COMPANY TO DO THE JOB.

OUTSTANDING WORK. THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THE JOB (AND THEIR ESTIMATE) WHEN THE PROJECT ENTAILED MUCH MORE THAN WAS EXPECTED/ESTIMATED, BECAUSE OF AN ERROR IN ASSESSING THE DO-ABILITY OF THE JOB. THEY ONLY CHARGED ME WHAT WAS ORIGINALLY AGREED UPON. MR. BJ DWYER WAS EXCEEDINGLY HELPFUL AND WILLING TO ACCOMPLISH THE JOB THEY PROMISED. AGAIN, A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE, AND I WHOLEHEARTEDLY RECOMMEND THEIR FIRM.

PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT. GAVE ADVICE ON FURTHER WORK, WHICH WOULD HELP IN THE FUTURE, WHICH THEY DID NOT DO.

FROM START TO FINISH THIS WAS SUCH A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. IT WAS CLEAR WE WERE DEALING WITH A PROFESSIONAL, EFFICIENT COMPANY. DWYER DID A FIRST CLASS JOB AND WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE COMPANY TO OTHERS.

THEY HAVE A ONE YEAR WITH NO INTEREST. THEY HAVE HAD TO COME BACK FOR TWO DIFFERENT THINGS BUT THEY HAVE HONORED THEIR LIFETIME WARRANTY. THEY ARE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.

WORK WAS DONE IN APRIL AND WITH ALL THE RAIN WE HAVE HAD A DRY BASEMENT. PROFESSIONAL, WELL ORGANIZED, I HAD ONE SMALL COMPLAINT AND THEY WERE IMMEDIATELY RESPONSIVE. COST WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THREE OTHER COMPANIES. HAD A LARGE TEAM AND IT TOOK ABOUT 2 AND A HALF DAYS. EXTREMELY PROMPT. I WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THEM. THE ADVANTAGE TO THIS COMPANY RAISING CONCRETE THEY CAN TELL IF THE WALLS ARE LEVEL OR BUCKLED AND CAN SEE IT AND REPAIR IT BEFORE THEY DO THE WATER PROOFING ITSELF.

THEY WERE NICE YOUNG MEN, THEY WERE ON TIME. WHEN THEY CAME TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE 7 BEAMS, BUT WHEN CAME TO DO THE JOB, THEY SAID THEY ONLY NEEDED TO USE 6, SO THEY CHARGED ME $300 LESS. I APPRECIATED THE HONESTY AND THE FACT THAT THEY WERE UP FRONT.

THE GENTLEMEN WHO CAME OUT TO DO THE WORK WERE COURTEOUS AND EFFICIENT AND GAVE ME TIPS ON HOW TO KEEP WATER AWAY FROM MY FOUNDATION.

WE ARE REAL PLEASED WITH THE WORK DONE ON OUR PORCH AND SIDEWALK. WE ALSO HAD NO CLEAN UP!
