It was a pleasure to work with Todd, the owner, his staff, and professional trades. Weekly onsite progress meetings helped us communicate and confirm our desires with the contractor. Todd was very attentive to our needs and coordinated with his trades to make sure our needs were met. This is a very well-organized and professional company from owner to office staff. Our newly expanded kitchen, bathroom and family room are beautiful. We will definitely recommend Renovations Unlimited, Inc. to others.

The owner, Todd Schmidt, met with us and helped us make general design decisions he then gave us the names of suppliers for cabinets and other sources. We chose The Cabinet Shop for our cabinets and got design drawings from Hans. Todd met with us several times to finalize our plans, he then provided us with a binder of work to be performed and a timeline. During the 10 week project Todd met with us every two weeks to go over work performed and to make changes. One of Todd's employees (a finish carpenter/job site manager) was at our home every day during the project dealing with subcontractors, suppliers, and doing finish carpentry work.

The job was finished on time (an extension of a few days was added to cover additional work we requested) and on budget. Todd, his crew, and his subcontractors were very professional and competent. No detail was too small to fix and no request for information or change was neglected. It is significant to note that Renovations Unlimited has a very good relationship with the subcontractors and suppliers they recommend and that we received the best care and advice from everyone Todd employed and/or recommended. People who work for and with Todd obviously respect his work ethic and attention to quality and want to do their best work for him.

We couldn't be happier with Renovations Unlimited and the work they did for us.

We worked with this company over the course of four+ months to add a great room, bedroom, and new patio on the back of our home. This involved removing a sun room and taking out a brick patio. We couldn't have asked for more professional and pleasant people to have in our home every day. We had scheduled meetings with the contractors twice a month to review what had been done and the plans for upcoming work. They were punctual and cleaned up after themselves daily. The end product was absolutely beautiful.

Our third floor had never been occupied before and you gained access from a hole in a closet ceiling. They took half the third floor and created a great room (with high ceilings) out of a bedroom and study on the second floor. They also created two bedrooms and a new bath on the third floor. On the second go round we had them convert a small study into a breakfast room, remodel two baths and made other aesthetic improvements.

I was not pleased with their quality control.

EXCELLENT!! Todd and his crew - Frank and Kevin were terrific :) They were prompt, professional, and very polite. The work to pin the brick front was so much quicker and neater than we had expected. They had to remove 3 - 2' x 6' planks of flooring from two bedrooms, drill through the brick front of our house, drill through the floor joists and block and screw the steel rod at each joist! This work was done in 3 days!! They were so neat, and made sure to cover up all the mess when they left so none of the children would hurt themselves. They even encountered some difficulty putting the floor boards back in since the house is so old and the floors are very uneven, but they came up with an easy solution that didn't cost us any more money. The second part of the job was to install the 8 structural columns in the basement. Todd met with our structural engineer twice at our house and had several phone conversations with him to be sure the work was being done to the specifications. The crew was so neat, that you wouldn't have even known they were here at the end of the day! The guys who did all the jackhammering of the concrete floor removed all the debris through a basement window. They covered up all the belongings in the basement so they wouldn't get dusty. The beams were installed and approved by the inspector very quickly. The project went off without a hitch!! I felt confident when even the Upper Arlington Building Inspector gave me a pat on the back and told me that these were great guys to work with and that they did an excellent job! Enough said!!

They were excellent, excellent communtion, prompt, and professional. Their follow thru and workmanship is great.

Because this was a relatively small job, the schedule was somewhat flexible. Once begun, it was completed in a timely fashion. All subcontractors were competent and responsive. Inspections all passed.

Problems: 1. Vendor incured a $500 furnace repair expense without consulting with me first even though I was expected to pay for it. 2. Vendor was supposed to re-install my existing bathroom vanity at the end of the project. However, they did not leave enough space and it did not fit when they attempted to put it back. To make matters worse, they modified the vanity and removed some of the tile work they had done to 'force it' into the available space. I was not consulted in advance and insisted that the tile work be re-done. I had to buy a new vanity to fit the space. The vendor did split the cost 50-50 but it was still an expense I should not have incurred at all. The delays extended length of the project by several weeks past the original timeline. 3. Vendor used flexible tubing to vent carbon monoxide from furnace and water heater. This is dangerous and not up to the local building code (I was told).

Things went great. They were very responsive, professional, on time and the price was good.

They were the best contractor I've ever worked with in my life. They are head and shoulders above any work I've ever seen in terms of management and execution. They were superb.

I FEEL COMPLETELY SECURE WITH THEM AND THEY ARE SO WILLING TO WORK WITH THE HOMEOWNER TO MAKE THEM HAPPY. THE WORKERS RESPECT FOR THE HOMEOWNERS HOME WAS BAR NONE AND THE QUALITY WAS PERFECT!

TODD SCHMIDT AND HIS CREW ARE TERRIFIC. THEIR WORK WAS DONE SUPERBLY. WE HAVE GREAT CONFIDENCE AND TRUST IN THIS COMPANY. THE LATEST WORK WAS PERFORMED MOSTLY WHILE WE WERE OUT OF TOWN. OUR HOUSE WAS KEPT NEAT, CLEAN AND SAFE. BASED ON OUR NEARLY FOURTEEN YEARS OF WORKING WITH TODD AND HIS CREWS, WE HAVE HIGH PRAISE TO STATE FOR THEIR SERVICES. EVEN IN THE CASES WHERE WE ELECTED ANOTHER FIRM, TODD HAS GIVEN US GOOD ADVICE ON WHERE WE SHOULD BE CAUTIOUS AND QUESTIONS WE SHOULD ASK. WHILE THE FIRM'S PRICES FOR SOME JOBS ARE SOMEWHAT ABOVE WHAT OTHERS GIVE AS ESTIMATES, RENOVATIONS UNLIMITED'S QUALITY OF SERVICE, MATERIALS, PROFESSIONAL JUDGMENT ARE WELL WORTH THE CHARGES. FOR ALL MAJOR JOBS IN OUR HOME AND ON RENTAL PROPERTIES WHERE QUALITY IS FOREMOST, WE TURN TO RENOVATIONS FOR ITS SERVICE. LET ME ADD THAT IT IS ALSO A JOY TO TALK WITH TODD, THE WORKERS AND THOSE IN THE OFFICE.

TODD IS FANTASTIC AND THE PEOPLE AND CONTRACTORS THAT WORK FOR HIM ARE THE BEST WHICH TELLS ME HE ALSO TREATS THEM FAIRLY. HE HAS DONE OUR KITCHEN AND BACKROOM (20,000)AND WAS ALWAYS ON TOP OF THE GAME. PEOPLE PUT TO MUCH WEIGHT ON PRICE, TODD WILL NOT BE THE CHEAPEST, BUT IF YOU WANT IT DONE RIGHT WITHOUT PROBLEMS HE IS THE ONE TO CALL. SOMETIMES YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND WITH TODD YOU WILL GET MORE. HE WILL ALSO BE DOING A 120,000 RENOVATION ON OUR OTHER HOME THIS FALL AND I AM CONFIDENT THAT I WILL BE PLEASED. DEFINITELY GET A BID FROM THIS COMPANY.

I LOOKED AT SEVERAL LOCAL CONTRACTORS / REMODELERS IN CENTRAL OHIO BEFORE CHOOSING RENOVATIONS UNLIMITED. I CHOOSE THEM LARGELY ON MY TRUST IN TODD SCHMIDT. HIS COMPANY DID NOT DISAPPOINT. TODAY, MY 75 YEAR OLD HOME SEEMS LIKE NEW. I GET CONSTANT COMPLIMENTS FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
