PODS - MOST PATHETIC SERVICE and COMPLETELY FRAUD COMPANY This is my First experience with PODS and they have made it my last experience with PODS. My PODS 16 foot container was picked up from source on June 30 and supposed to be re-delivered at destination on July 14 and I never got my container re-delivered. This is a long distance 1000 miles move with where move cost is close to 4k USD. I will explain my feedback on different factors below for their CORRUPT and FRAUD service. Delivery Schedule – They had provided maximum promised date Timing of July 14 (for re-delivery at destination) when I made my booking. On July 12, I received email that says make some space for your container and driver will message you for exact time schedule for re-delivery on July 14. Based on their email, I booked moving helpers that would unload the container. Now on July 13 afternoon, I get an email that my delivery date has been changed to July 19. Now when I call customer service team, they are not able to provide any surety that it will be re-delivered on July 19. So on the very last moment they shifted my delivery date by 5 days and screwed up all my plans causing a lot of inconvenience and hardship for me and my family. Also wasted money in cancelling helping team for unload and all other plans I had scheduled. PODS is not able to keep track of delivery schedule until the last moment and make your life completely uncertain. Cost – When I booked PODS, I was getting lots of cheaper options to move my stuff but I went with PODS with higher quote assuming they would be on time and keep my stuff safe. All that never happened and instead I have been facing extreme inconvenience now since they are not ready to deliver my container. All the extra money I put for booking PODS is wasted now. This is the MOST PATHETIC company I have ever seen. Customer Service – ZERO customer service. You can call them, chat with them but no one will help you for anything. The complete customer service team is so insensitive since they have no answers and no resolutions for your complaints. I have been calling PODS every day since July 13 wasting atleast 1 hour daily on call with them explaining everything again from ground zero and no one would help for anything. They always mention that a Specialist is assigned to your case and they will call back and no one over calls me back. Called them on July 13, they mentioned someone would call me in 24 hours – No one called me back. Called them on July 14, now they mention someone would call me in 48 hours – No one called me back. Called them again on July 15, now they say someone would call me within 1 week. This kind of Customer Service is completely ridiculous and very frustrating. Tracking – So when I call customer service team, they do not have any whereabouts of where my container is exactly. Every time they would simple mention that it is in transit or they would mention that it is between source and destination. This feels like going back to stone age when you are not even able to track your own containers. The most funny part is when the guy who delivered the container initially at source very confidently said that “ You know you can do real time tracking of your container and just call the customer service”. Their own guys are providing false-information about tracking which do not even exists. I am afraid that they have lost my container since they have no answer where my container is located currently. Payments – They deducted final payment from my credit card on July 14 and then I had to call and chase them to revert my final payment since they were not delivering on July 14. Overall, they keep charging your card without your consent once they have your credit card information. You have to fight back a lot for incorrect payments that they keep on putting on your credit card. Long story short – This is the MOST PATHETIC and CORRUPT company you will ever come across. People working there are INSENSITIVE and would never help you once they have taken your money. Do not trust them for your valuables and for moving. PODS is FRAUD and is a complete nightmare !!!

I have the largest storage for the pod, and it will be transported across the country. When I made a decision about the pod, they said the smallest would accommodate me for an small two bedroom apartment. When the pod arrived, I saw that it wasn't going to work. I look at the website, and its for an one room. The medium one does not go across the country, and I had to get the largest. I lost a day of packing. The driver is fabulous. He was very friendly, and very efficient.

Everything was great. The PODS containers were delivered and picked up in a timely manner both at our original location and our destination. The drivers were courteous and helpful while placing the containers at the sites. PODS made our cross country move stress free and easier than working with a full service moving company.

Horrible customer service. Buyer beware.
In both the pick up and delivery of our PODS, the customer service has been horrible. They have called multiple times to confirm our times and every time the confirmation changes. We were trying to plan services around the pick up times and had to cancel other maintenance because we wouldn't have access to our garage after they changed our time.
When calling customer service you cannot talk to a local manager to get an answer to scheduling. They then try to upcharge you to get the time you want.
Also beware that their billing process is purposefully confusing so as to separate you from as much money as quickly as possible.

They were professional and provided very good service. They bring in a storage container, drop it off and then we fill it. Then they come back, pick it up and take it to a storage facility or we can leave it on site. I think it is a national company, but the branch we worked with is in Columbus. They have our stuff right now temporarily while we have a new home built. We are storing all of our household good with them. We contacted them to tell them when we wanted them to deliver the storage unit. They also have something on their website to tell us what size pod we need. Then they schedule a delivery and they are in contact with us two or three times before they deliver it. They bring it to the site and drop it off. Then we loaded it and gave them an estimated time as to when we wanted them to pick it up. If we needed to change that all we needed to do was to call them and they will change the schedule. They send us something confirming the pick up date which says if they don't hear from us they will assume the date we established is accurate. Then they come out, pick it up and take it to their climate controlled environment. When we are ready for it we contact them then they schedule the delivery within a week. They bring it back, set it back down, leave, we unload it at our leisure and when we are done we call them and tell them to come pick it up. It is very nice and is much, much easier than renting a storage unit and having to move all of it ourselves. It is very convenient and relatively economical, depending on the size of pod that we use. Obviously they charge to pick up and deliver. But if we had to rent a truck to move everything we are still ahead. Storage is $150 monthly for a 16-foot container and I think it was $99 for delivery to the property. I also think it was another $99 to pick it up and another $99 to bring it back to our property. It is still cheaper than using a moving company or rent a truck. I had not used them before, but I had seen them advertised and it seemed like the best solution for us at the time.

The approximate cost was for the entire move. I am writing this review because this PODS location made the deliveries. They did an outstanding job. The office staff returned calls and the delivery works called before drop offs and pick ups.

They came back to pick it up and take it to their storage where I’m paying a monthly storage fee. They were very careful in placing the pod on my driveway and did absolutely no damage. They were on time according to the schedule and I actually didn’t even have to be there. The office schedules carefully and it is easy to communicate to them.

I do not recommend PODS at all. The website would not work for ordering, so I had to place the order by phone. A lock is not included with the POD, and the company takes the opportunity to sell you a lock for an additional $6. I bought the lock. I was told that the new lock and information packet would be in the POD when it was delivered. I got home from work, an the POD was there, but there was no information packet or lock! So, I called the customer service number painted on the side of the POD. I waited 20 minutes to speak to a customer service representative only to be informed that the CSR cannot credit my account for the lock (or actually deliver the lock as promised), and I would have to call the local PODS franchise to resolve the problem. What is the point of having a central customer service number that cannot handle billing and accounting issues? I even asked for a supervisor. I told the supervisor that I should not have to make additional phone calls to get a credit for the lock. She told me that she could only send an email to the local franchise. That was 2 days ago, and I've heard nothing! I had to go out and purchase a lock to secure my POD! TERRIBLE customer service for a service that is not cheap! It is costing me $280 to have a POD in my driveway for 2 weeks!

They were really quick and efficient. They dropped my things off on time. They were reasonably priced; they were not cheap, though. They moved everything to the driveway and moved everything back. Their website was very easy to use. I will use them again if required.

DO: The storage concept is great. Pack up, have it picked up and stored and then re-delivered when need. GREAT Concept!! DON't: Rent from PODS of Urbancrest, Ohio. They are privately owed and did not care to listen to PODS of Clearwater. PODS of Clearwater told me Urbancrest is privately owned and does not have to listen to corporate or reason.

"Here at PODS, we simply consider this issue to pertain to a lack of payment owed by the customer. The member signed an agreement with PODS to rent a PODS Container on a month to month basis. A PODS container is an 8ft by 8ft by 16ft storage unit a customer uses to store and move household items. The member took possession of the PODS container on November 4, 2009. The member returned the PODS container empty to PODS on 6-4-2010. The member owes the amount in dispute, $232.05, for monthly rental and delivery fees. He claims he does not owe this amount because he is falsely stating eh requested a redelivery of his PODS container in March. There is no proof of this redelivery! To the contrary of his false statement, we have record at PODS within his account of trying to contact him 21 times since 4-5-2010 to pay the outstanding balance he owed on his PODS account at that time. A PODS Container is rented on a month to month basis. What if every PODS customer used our service of storage for many months, as the member used our service, then decide to call PODS and state, “Well I only wanted to use the PODS for 4 months of storage, therefore, I am only paying for 4 months”.. after using more than 4 months of storage and still occupying the storage unit with household belongings! That is not our contractual agreement which specifies a month to month rental term, and specifies time is of the essence in regard to all payment obligation due under this rental agreement. The PODS contract ends when the customer returns the PODS container empty to PODS. The member returned the PODS container empty on 6-4-10."

The POD arrived on schedule, was parked as requested, and was clean inside and outside. We had to reschedule the date to pick up the POD from our new house and representatives were helpful and responsive. This was an excellent experience.

The POD was clean and easy to use. They did leave a slight indentation in the grass where it was partially set but otherwise everything went fine. They picked it up on time and delivered on time as well.

They dropped off the POD, we loaded it up, they came and took it, they stored it for two months, and they brought the POD to our new home once we moved. You just have to tell the company what size POD you need and when you need it but we were responsible for getting the proper permits for having a POD on a city street. The truck is interesting and looks like a semi-truck with framework that picks the POD up and puts it back down. Everything we put in there came back looking like it did when we packed it. It's a great service and it makes everything so much easier because you don't have to load and unload it so many times and you don't have to rent a truck.

The customer service was excellent. They arrived when proposed, the called in advance, and they did everything they say the would. The price was high and they "extra" costs made the final cost higher than anticipated. Having said that, It was very convenient and I would use them again.

Wonderful experience!!! Adina, as well as the entire staff, were courteous, professional and timely. They were a joy to work with. They delivered what they said they would, when they were supposed to and picked up the unit in the same manner. Completely painless. I highly recommend them if you have short term storage needs, BUT BE AWARE OF THE ZONING CODE AS YOU MAY HAVE SOME WANNA- BE JERK OFF WRITING YOU A CITATION. 14 DAYS IS THE LIMIT ON TEMP STORAGE ON YOUR PROPERTY!
