Val does a wonderful job. We had a half bath toilet leak. Needed flooring replaced, some drywall repair, and refinishing our existing hardwood floor to match the new hardwood being installed. He was quick to come give us a quote and to schedual our project. He went above and beyond for the job. Clean, timely, very professional and paitent, answered all our questions and made the processes very smooth. We are super happy with the quality of the finish ad with the overall work. Would highly reccomend, and will be using if we ever need any wood flooring work done.

We were moving cross country from Denver to Columbus, OH, and purchased a home that we wanted the hardwood floors stained to a darker color for the main floor, as well as remove the carpet for the stairs & 2nd floor hallway to put in matching hardwood. Our realtor helped find Val, & we are so happy he did. Val was very good on being a strong communicator from the beginning. He’s the kind of contractor who walks a client through fully understanding the project, by patiently providing an education that we definitely needed. He would offer recommendations when needed, which was helpful as we were finalizing decisions. Something that got complicated was having our painting contractors overlap in timing with the flooring, in order for everything to be completed by the time we moved in. The painting team was inflexible in working with the proper sequence to ensure high quality work could take place. Val dealt with the conflict management in a very calm way and with supreme character and patience. He also was very protective of our home, & openly communicated about issues he was seeing from their end. This created immense trust, especially considering how vulnerable it felt to be in the middle of a move. Finally, Val was able to pivot with our project as we learned that water damage from the upstairs bathroom was taking place, & some hardwood needed to be replaced. Not only did he respond with ease, but he also stepped in and helped us get the bathroom completely renovated. So in addition to the immaculate quality that Val brought forth, it was our trust in his character that has secured him as a contractor we’ll use time and time again, as well as refer him to everyone we know. It was such a nice way to be welcomed into a new place.

Very well. They were very punctual and efficient. They refinished another bedroom floor for us about 5 years ago and we were also very pleased with that. We would definitely hire them again.

For the size of the project, it went better than I had hoped. The gentlemen clearly know flooring and their knowledge helped me make a much better (and different than I had imagined) decision about what I would do. Personable, professional, and task-oriented come to mind as good adjectives.

I consulted Nature Floors to advise on what to do to repair my wood floors. A few areas had lightened from normal wear and tear and some areas started splintering. I was told by Nature Floors that my floors needed to be buffed and sealed twice. The work was done and within days I noticed that unlike before every scratch was showing. I contacted the company, and I was told that the actual wood was not being scratched but the seal and that this is what should be expected. They stated that although there were scratches in the seal the actual wood was protected. I shared that this outcome was not discussed when I was advised on how to repair the floors. I would have never agreed to the work had I been told your wood will be protected but it is going to look awful because it will show every scratch due to the seal. I was advised to go to a wood store to see if they could suggest a cleaner or something that would lessen the look of the scratches. A few weeks later as the scratches multiplied, I reached out to another wood company. They came out to inspect the work and immediately stated that my floors were not done properly. According to the expert, Nature Floors did not use proper inter-coat abrasion for the seal to bond properly to the floor. I was also told that they could not find evidence that the floors had been buffed or that a second seal was put on the floor. They also stated that due to the nature of my engineered wood floors they should not have opted to buff or seal it at all. They stated that my floors could not be repaired and would need replaced. And to add insult to injury I was told that I was overcharged. I immediately reached out to Nature Floors and shared what I had learned. I asked them to return my money to go towards the purchase and installation of new floors. I was told they needed to contact their lawyers and come and take pictures. I stated that I did not trust them to advise me on anything regarding my floors and I only wanted the money I spent returned. They refused to return my money and I am considering litigation. In addition, on a side note, but speaking to their lack of professionalism, when they arrived the first morning to do the job, they brought 2 children with them which I felt was unprofessional. I left the house and forgot something, so I quickly returned to find one of the children using my daughter’s bathroom. The poor child was so embarrassed, so I quickly left and immediately texted Val and asked him to please have anyone working in the house to use the guest bathroom in the basement. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are unprofessional, they do not stand by their work, I was overcharged, the service provided did not meet industry standards and they have refused to do the right thing and return my money! Response from NATURE FLOORS LLC

"To my potential clients; What was stated here, there is a lot of fake information about how I explained what kind of floor she has and what are her options she has with her floors.  (What I always do with customer’s, I make sure they clearly understand what choices they have.) She reached  out to me two months later, after work was finished. And said there are lots of scratches. I asked her from what they were caused from, she stated she has two (2) dogs that are 85lbs each. It’s not abnormal to get scratches from big dogs like that.  I’ve told her, I’m willing to work with her, and I need to come out and take a look at the damaged problem areas. But she REFUSES for me to come and take look, and all she wants is her money back, money back, money back. It’s suspicious to me , that without any info of “wrong work” and me seeing the problem areas she just wants her money back.  We were advised that people like her are money exploiters."

We are very happy we chose Nature Floors. Very happy. My wife and I bought a home that was built in the late 1800s. It has many historic features, including much of the flooring. A section on the second level was carpeted and we wanted to replace that carpet with wood. Sounds simple, but my wife was concerned that the new flooring could look like we tried to match the new flooring with the old flooring and failed. She had some ideas to avoid this, such as using a completely different wood species and incorporating a herringbone pattern. I agreed, but also wondered if we could maintain a look that was “faithful to the historic heritage” of the house. Additionally, just to make things even easier, we wanted the work done very quickly, before we moved in. When Val stopped by our house, he immediately started inspecting the floor with strong focus and interest. Like an archeologist at an excavation site. He mentioned spruce and pine and other species, the way the grain was running, how very long some of the pieces were in the dining room... At that point, I knew we were in good hands. He clearly cared about his line of work. Regardless of how much I cared about that flooring, he cared more. We decided to have him replace the carpeted flooring with wood flooring, and also to have the flooring in the master bedroom resurfaced and refinished… I am glad we decided to have the work done in the master bedroom, although it wasn't our original plan. In the end, the refinishing of the master bedroom and the replacing of the flooring where it was carpeted is all wonderfully done. Val actually found new wood that I would call “faithful to the historic heritage” of the home. Five-inch-wide and the correct species. He matched the finish very well. I was impressed. And I will say that the job he did with the newly-installed flooring is astonishingly beautiful. It is so nice that it makes me at least consider having him replace the wood in the entire main floor of the house. If we did that, it might not look like it’s over 100 years old, but maybe like it would have looked prior to 1900, after a skilled craftsman did the work in the first place. Trust me, flooring that’s over 100 years old can be pretty rough. LOL. The price was very reasonable, and Val charged us exactly what he said he would charge us. He was nice enough to schedule work around painters that I also had in the home. And Val and his brother do not waste time. In fact, I chuckled at how serious his brother was: He would walk in the door and would be working within seconds. I highly recommend Nature Floors.

We are so happy with our new floors!! They look amazing and the service we received from Val was just as great. It has been really hard to find good reliable help around here and I was so relieved to finally find someone who shows up on time and also does an amazing job. My husband dropped the couch when moving furniture back in and scratched the floor (unbelievable, I know) and Val came back out the same day and touched up the scratch for us free of charge. Can’t wait to get our upstairs refinished!

I would highly recommend Nature Floors. The owner came over promptly when I called and was able to start the work that very week. The work was done without mess, they showed up on time and kept in contact. They even did a landing that I had had refinished three years ago but didn't like the way it was done. It is now refinished perfectly. All for a reasonable price.

We were hoping to have the wood floors refinished but after taking up the carpet Val found spots of ply wood only. He offered up options that included giving us a reference for carpeting. Instead I ask him for a quote to replace the floors. I thought his quote was reasonable and he was able to do the job without any delay. Quality work, quality service, I couldn’t be happier.

The yellow pine floors of our 1909 house had been poorly refinished by the previous owners with deep swirl marks. I had assumed that the only solution was to have replacement hardwood installed. As Val was discussing that plan he assessed the floors and said that the wood was actually in good condition and another option was to refinish. When he said that the wood “still had life in in it” I recognized that he appreciated maintaining the original character of the house. This was not an easy job as the hallway had a layer of engineered wood over old linoleum with a thick adhesive. They repaired a gap between boards with strips that fit perfectly. During the process, he and his brother made sure we had the color and sheen we wanted. We have been amazed at the results. They were very careful with the baseboards and shoemould. We’ve invited neighbors in to see our beautiful restored old wood floors. I can confidently recommend Nature Floors.
