I was connected with this provider through my home warranty company (this is why I paid $75- a copay, not sure what the cost of the service would have been had I gotten the work done on my own). I had a gas leak in my furnace and the provider was able to fit me into his schedule at the last minute. He worked quickly and was friendly and professional. John Rupert was the person with the company who provided the service. I would absolutely hire this company again. You can tell that they care about what they are doing and want to do right by the customer. I should also mention that Columbia Gas made the initial diagnosis and John found additional leaks that were not discovered by the Columbia Gas technician.

My A/C broke down during a week of 90+ weather. This company was sent to me by American Home Shield warranty after I was not able to get the first company they sent to respond after 3 days of frustration. As soon as AHS re-assigned Solitaire to me, I received a call within 2 hours from a technician who said he would come the next day. He gave me a window of 2-7 pm and said he would give me a call when he was getting close. He called the next day as he said he would to let me know he was on his way and arrived around 5:30. The technician was professional and courteous. He explained that I had a freon leak and fixed the problem. I really appreciated the fact that this technician called me so quickly after AHS contacted the co., followed up with a phone call the next day, and came within the time frame he had given me. The 60.00 that I paid is the standard service fee that AHS charges all customers.

My air conditioning was not functioning. I contacted our home warranty company who sent this company out to fix it on Wednesday. The air conidtioning worked for a few hours and then immediately stopped again. We called the company back on Thursday and they have refused to return until Monday. Our bedroom temperature is 90 degrees and my entire family is sleeping on couches in our basement. We have been without relief since Wednesday and in spite of paying this company, we apparently will be without relief through at least some time Monday if we wait for them. Not only are the apparently incompetent, but they have taken our money and could not care less about following up on their obligation to fix our air conditioning.

I found it interesting that the service provider, in responding to my complaint chooses to blame the home warranty company. They took the service fee and didn't fix the problem. I'm still pondering how an air conditioning company can come to my home, take their fee, say the air conditioning is fixed and leave my home with air conditioning that is clearly not fixed and say that it is someone else's fault. Furthermore, the home warranty policy was simply this: the vendor that took the money was obligated to fix the problem. It was Solitaire that chose to put off that fix for 5 days so they could spend their time going places where they could make more money.

"Member is under AHS home warranty and we have no control over the out come of his claim, he feels that he is so important that rules do not apply to him, shame on him. AHS explained everything to him based on his written agreement with them but I gusess that does not matter. He has two AC units and Could just move to an area of he home that was COOL ,when so many columbus homes had no cooling at all!!!!, Shame He was told by AHS that we would return on Monday per the AHS rules that he and we must follow. Member makes it sound like he called us for service and paid us a fee for our work but infact we were hired by his insurance company and paid by his insurance company, not by the home owner, we work for AHS not the home owner, he paid us no fee for our service, he paid a AHS deducatable we are paid 100% by AHS Member needs to resolve his issues with AHS not slam us. He has a written contract with them and he follow he rules AHS sets"

This company and my home warranty company were useless. I even had to fight to get they to send me my pro-rated premium for their services.

"The home owner contacted her home warranty company because she felt that she needed more air flow to several rooms, the home warranty company sent out another HVAC company (not us) to look thinks over. The home warranty company explained to her based on that company’s report that they do not do ducting modifications. We were sent out to double check the other companies findings, and she again was told by the home warranty company that ducting modifications were not covered, she asked us how much we would charge and we gave her a ball park. The home owner was not happy that the home warranty company would not cover what she wanted and became very upset at us since we were the only person she could vent at. She claimed that the duct was shut , but in fact all were open, she was denied for wanting additional ducting by the home warranty company and only for that nothing else. The Home owner is now venting her anger at us, even though she was asking her home warranty company to do something that was not covered by the policy she had. It went very well. The technician explained a lot about the furnace and the repair required. He also looked over Atlas Butler's paper work and showed me the true cost that his company incurred versus what was indicated Atlas Butler would charge me. We had a long discussion and he reparied the furnace about a month ago.

I was referred to Solitaire from our home warranty policy, as we still had this covering our house. This was in the beginning of summer, and we need to have the AC fixed right away. They came out with in 2 days right on time. I was hoping that they air conditioner had gone bad, so the warranty would replace it, however Solitaire found that the Freon level was low and all it need was a little more. The tech found the problem right away after hooking up his gear and he was one his way, very fast and the AC has been pumping strong ever since.

Came when promised - called when on way. Polite, efficient serviceman. The only positive call I've had under my home warranty! May consider using them to replace furnace to buy a more efficient model.
